The audience gave a standing ovation to the Australian native. His heartfelt story told of how his family came to America with hope for their son (the now healthy Nick Adams) who had been diagnosed by an American doctor studying abroad with a rare stage 4 childhood cancer. His family’s trust in America brought him here, and his gratitude is what keeps him fighting for our great country today.
