AMAC

Dear AMAC Members and website visitors,

For much of the past year, we at AMAC have been working diligently to redesign our website from the ground up. We’re thrilled to be able to share it with you!

We began the process by interviewing hundreds of AMAC members to gain a better understanding of what they liked – and equally important, what they didn’t like – about our old website. Our customer service team also provided our developers with much of the feedback that we’ve received from members over the last several years. All that information was used as a guide during the redevelopment of our website’s core functions.

Our new site has been fundamentally designed to deliver an improved user experience for both members and new website visitors alike. We’ve rearranged our site menu and the layout of our content to allow for easier navigation. We’ve reorganized our member benefits and will be enhancing the content provided on our benefits pages as we move forward. We’ve also redesigned most of the sections on our site, including our magazine library, our Better for America podcast episode catalog, our Newsline and Blog content, and more.

One of our key objectives was simply to improve our website’s speed and performance. After years of adding sections piece-by-piece to our old site, it had become a jalopy. Pages took too long to load. Our new website represents an effort to fix that.

Despite countless hours spent designing, developing, programming, and testing our new site across a wide variety of computers, mobile devices, tablets, and operating systems, we understand that there certainly will be glitches.

We’re working through a checklist of items that we’ve already identified that need some tweaking, but we encourage you to report any issues that you experience by submitting your comments using this LINK. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

There’s much more to come!

We’re already well into the process of redesigning our enrollment and renewal forms to make it easier to join and renew. We’re redeveloping and expanding our polls, games, and other sections that many of our site visitors have come to enjoy. We’re working on ways to improve the comment sections under our articles (our site is under constant attack from automated bots and progressives who just don’t love America like we do, and automated comment filters are all terrible – every one of them is flawed). We’re also redeveloping the member login section to improve the overall member experience.

Over the coming months, we look forward to sharing many more updates and improvements with you. This is only the beginning!

We thank you for your patience as we work to improve your overall experience with AMAC.

With Appreciation and Gratitude,

The AMAC Family

This new system, new format — I am a Reagan Conservative, however President John F. Kennedy has been praised by conservatives for some things he said and did, especially what he said in his inaugural address about ” Ask not what your country can do for you ,ask what you can do for your country .” In that spirit I would like to do something to help, if I could, with this new format, new system . I truly try to be positive and optimistic about things in general, this new format is not my idea of an improvement. I believe that AMAC stands for the best of what the United States of America stands for. So, I have great respect for AMAC. The deletion of comments as I am seeing with the articles and the weekly newsletter polls, and the deleted ability to vote on the comments, this is something that is not in keeping with the spirit of what participating in the political opinion writing is all about. As I see it the previous system was better, did not need these radical changes. The chronological method of accessing the articles seems to be gone and I am very curious about the current weekly newsletter poll ( the Generation Z poll ) if that is going to be restored.
In the spirit of Faith, Family and Freedom . This is a very important matter and if there are ways that members can help to get some things fixed , ways to make improvements, then it could make a difference for the better if the decision makers at AMAC made that information known — in the spirit of good management fundamentals , those being Planning, Organization, Coordinating , Scheduling and clear, intelligent Communication.

AMAC if Iam not allowed to vote for a comment then I will not renew my membership, this new web is like every other digital improvement, not needed you could not add the requested changes (see below comments), so you push a new web that is even worse

I’d like to see:

  • an edit button, like you used to have, expiring after 1 minute or so
  • a direct link to the comments when clicking on “# comments”
  • easy access to all articles, chronologically listed
  • fewer/no popups or notifications
  • user name uniquely connected to an email address

I wouldn’t mind having the old format back again…

I would like to see if there’s any remote positions working for Amac. I was in the past a member but of course I can’t afford it now and I want to see if there’s any options for remote positions working at home.

I am a multi year subscriber but I don’t remember my password. When I enter my e-mail address ([email protected] – where I get my newsletter from AMAC) to change my password it says they can’t find a user with that e-mail address. HOW do I login?

Two comments: (1) Can a “Home” page button be added next to the “Join”, “Renew” and “Member Benefits” buttons and;
(2) AMAC members have been requesting for quite some time that an edit function be added to the Comments (and Reply) functions so that typos and other transcription errors can be corrected by the writer. What is the status of that request ?
