The US House of Representatives is currently considering the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” which would codify into law many of President Trump’s campaign promises, including:
- Making the Trump tax cuts permanent, which delivers meaningful tax relief for small businesses – remember how these tax cuts jump-started the economy during the President’s first term?
- Relief from the death tax, which allows seniors to pass down generational businesses without excessive government interference.
- An additional tax deduction for seniors, ensuring retirees can live with dignity and financial stability in retirement
- Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform that improves transparency, reels in misaligned financial incentives, and complements the President’s recent Executive Order that will further lower drug costs, especially for Medicare beneficiaries
The House is moving quickly on this legislation this week, and we ask that you reach out to your Member of Congress today and tell them to fulfill the President’s promise for America and pass the One Big, Beautiful Bill.

First Congress would have to actually write that big, beautiful bill as laid out originally. Which is something they HAVEN’T actually done. Aside from extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts, which honestly could have been done with a one-page bill from Congress simply stating the 2017 tax cuts are hereby made permanent, everything is that is new has been badly mishandled.
It seems the majority of GOP members of the House and Senate have no real spine to implement most of the spending cuts that DOGE has identified to date, with more being identified each day. Instead, we get some half-hearted, minor trimming and budgetary gimmicks, that are nowhere near matching the dollar amount of the real cuts possible.
As for not taxing SS, which is what most people here seem most concerned about, what Congress has dreamed up is a $4,000 increase in the standard deduction for seniors over 65. Hardly the same thing by any stretch of the imagination, if you’re even moderately economically literate.
As for the no tax on tips, that has been drafted as an overly complex formula, with a number of conditions and limitations, that ensures only a very small number of people would even qualify for any benefit. Which is of course why it was written that way by the members of Congress.
As for no tax on overtime, I haven’t finished reading the entire 380+ pages of the bill yet, but I can guess that it has also been crafted to have to conform to some insanely complex set of criteria that would be far short of what was envisioned.
So, in the end, what I expect we’ll see in the final version of the bill from Congress is the permanent extension of the Trump 2017 tax cuts and maybe that additional $4,000 increase in the standard deduction for seniors 65 and over. The other two items will be too complex for most people to qualify for. As for spending cuts, it seems the GOP still lacks any guts to do what is right, even when DOGE has already laid a lot of it out ahead of time for Congress to simply document in the legislation.
Senator Johnson and a few others have been warning us for months, that Congress was NOT following the guidelines that President Trump outlined for what he wanted in this great big, beautiful bill and what the GOP leaders in both the House and Senate promised they would deliver. President Trump has repeatedly met with all the GOP members of Congress multiple times to emphasize what the bill has to deliver, but Congress being Congress seems intent to instead do what they always do when offered a chance to score a major victory for the people of America. They revert to the spineless, self-centered political hacks that a lot of them are and come up w-a-y short in terms of the expected deliverables. Which is why Congress has such an abysmally low approval rating.
Unfortunately, President Trump cannot force Congress to do what they agreed to do but refuse to follow through on, as they are a separate by equal branch of the government. So, we will get what we get, which is better than nothing and certainly better than the massive $4.5 trillion dollar tax hike that would automatically kick in on January 1st, 2026, if the 2017 tax cuts are not made permanent.
The GOP needs to stick together on this bill or we are going to look like fools. Republicans need to get their act together and back our president or we may be looking at another rotten, radical liberal president in 3 years!! Stop your belly-aching and get the darned bill passed! You can bet the Marxists are just waiting to do us in again.
Yes, spineless Republicans are thwarting our efforts to make significant change. I cannot help but assign this perpetual weakness to the fact that Term Limits do not yet exist. The primary reason most of these folks are “spineless” is due to their fear that they may not be electable in the next cycle. They know it’s the right thing to do, but they will not shoot themselves in the proverbial foot. So many good reasons to have Term Limits. I believe it should be the singular litmus test for supporting a Candidate – of either Party in the future.
Sorry, I believe this “Big, Beautiful Bill” is too weak! We MUST STOP the destructive SPENDING, too. Get with it AMAC…
They need to restore President Trump promise of NO Tax on Social Security. A $4,000 increase deduction isn’t the same thing.
Congress prefers nice and easy established status quo. Should it stir itself in right direction and actually do the job taxpayer pays them to do I think they would shock all of us. Term limits is the only solution to force them to work. Those screaming against it don’t need to run. Simple enough, where is the problem. Why not have referendum on it and see what the taxpayer thinks, put it to vote, one man one vote.Do what people decide, after all they are there to serve. That would take care of many scoundrels among them. Right now it could be renamed Who wants to be a millionaire.
I am a bit skeptical of a huge bill. They used to be stuffed with pork projects. I hope this one is different.
I agree with all of those bullet points, BUT… with all the “savings” DOGE revealed, WHY is spending NOT cut? WHY does this increase spending/the deficit? Frankly, I am glad there are some “Conservatives” who are holding out for those things to be addressed. THEY MUST BE. Put those DOGE savings into this bill.
@AMAC… Do you REALLY believe this entire bill, as written, is in the best interest of the American people? Did anyone on your staff READ the bill? If not, please have one of your journalists (Actually, ALL OF THEM) read the bill and do some in-depth analysis on it for your membership. That’s what we look for from you.
It would be a big plus is this was broken into several smaller bills, and that means one bill that will include all of the tax cuts and explain why. Including defense and national security in this bill only clouds the issue. We cannot continue to increase our national debt by +$1 Trillion per year. Note , that the debt has increased for 16 straight years during terms of Obama, Trump, & Biden terms so both Republicans & Democrats need to look in the mirror.
This mickey mouse business of jamming an enormous bill through Congress at the last minute was TACO’s 2017 gimmick. Few read or understood it then, but were forced to vote for it. That led to a $500B error in the bill, and nearly $4T in additional debt for our country to deal with. Now, the felon puppet wants to add to that debt an additional $3T of giveaways to the wealthy, and although claiming Medicaid will not be affected, remove nearly 14 million citizens from its care. This is from the CBO, and is a concern for all citizens who believe that our government is trying to help people and not take advantage of them. Government is not the problem in our country, it’s this administration. Look no further than Elon Musk, who finally spoke the truth about this bill as an abomination and not protecting Medicaid. In his last administration, he was found to have lied over 30,000 times; that’s over 20 times/day; and yet it continues. Believe him, his administration, and the drivel in this rag AT YOUR PERIL.
On 5/24/2025 Moodys just dropped the USA from Aaa rating to Aa1 rating which shows lack of faith in our economics. This should get Trump’s attention & look a bill that does not increase our debt $1 Trillion per year. It is very important that the US dollar remains as the Global Reserve Currency !! And what possible damage will crypto currency do to our dollar ?
I am disappointed as usual with these big mouthed GOP gutless worms. Wonder why they can’t find out where the money went from Bidens time in office? Were they getting money from the NGO’s. So tell me whats’ the difference between a communist Democrat and a republican again? Look up congress and senators net worth. I’ll bet that when they are off camera it’s a love fest!! Behind closed doors. This is like big time wrestling. So I went independent for my own sanity. Have you noticed in your lifetime whenever they make a ‘law’ it’s for you not them!! Go to the beach and leave some bad word about a congress person with sea shells, your in jail in 24 hours. Get some insider information on a stock, your in jail. The GOP let’s them get away with murder and no one goes to jail, ever(Clintons). Quit going on vacations and do some work for the American people. They have too much of our money period I’m going back to counting stars.
Trump has promised that he will never cut Social Security & so he must not support no taxes on SS as that will cut the life of benefits. No taxes on OT and tips is a result of promises he made on last campaign trail & how much will this cut tax revenue & will another 500 pages need to be added to tax code to create a bunch of loopholes . Accountants at these companies will have to spend a lot ot time on these tax cuts!
One Big Beautiful Bill is 3-6 trillion dollars, plus 300 days into this administration, we’ve added $1 trill x 3 = $ 3 trillion to the debt interest due on the $29 trillion. This big beautiful bill is not beautiful unless you are a billionaire and don’t care what else happens if the money system goes bankrupt and the social security system does down, because crypto is part of failed digital state that is going to enslave all of us if we aren’t billionaires, and it may even enslave most of them if they can’t control things on the top.
I’m so glad Senator Ron Johnson is a CPA and cares about balancing the budget, something I thought Trump was interested in doing when he took over in January. Elon shouldn’t have totally wiped out the Small Business Administration because small businesses were what was wiped out primarily during the lockdowns with the riots and burnings of mom and pop stores, unless he just moved that somewhere else. It was good he exposed all the fraud, but many of those loans were legitimate to actual small businesses and he shouldn’t have dumped the baby out with the dirty bath water, as that is what happened based on what all the media reported, as they didn’t say that Elon was moving certain departments somewhere else. So I’m left believing that didn’t happen, and then small business is taking the hit so the billionaire corporations can make more and more money without their competition.
We don’t need money for AI and the war machine.
We don’t need to fund big ag monocrops of GMO soy, corn, or whatever; big CAFO factory-farmed food animals fed GMO food, given growth hormones and antibiotics, and now apparently given mRNA gene-changing bird flu vaccines that will harm the genes of Americans and cause other “unanticipated harm” to those eating those unlabeled toxic food products or going without sufficient nutrients normally found in meat animals (Vitamin B12, CLA, heme iron, and other important nutrients). We need to ban mRNA, and nobody voted for Trump to promote mRNA, to continue COVID kill shots.
Trump needs to get Congress to put his Executive Orders into Law.
I paid for 5 years and you are not allowing me to publish this.
Do what? !!!
How dispicable you have become!
To pump thd great big beautiful lie,
RE: seniors get tax relief. An insulting extra $4,000 deduction while NO TAX on tips, overtime, $80,000 deduction for salt. You expect the Seniors to live meagerly at best while rewarding those high income tax cesspools with a deduction that penalizes we who contributed instead of sucked the life out of we who gave the most.
Ok so next election I will campaign and vote straight ticket democrat. Since 1969 never a democrat. If you blood sucking leech politicians are so determined to destroy this country let’s get it over with quickly so I help you with demo vote.
