Oral arguments this week in a case before the U.S. Supreme Court and a ruling earlier this month by Britain’s Supreme Court are the latest evidence that left-wing gender ideology is on its heels worldwide – but liberals in some states are nonetheless doubling down on it.
The British Supreme Court’s decision on April 16 sent shockwaves throughout the country and across the Atlantic, as judges ruled that males who claim transgender status and identify as women do not qualify as women under the country’s anti-discrimination law. “The unanimous decision of this court is that the terms ‘woman’ and ‘sex’ in the Equality Act 2010 refer to biological women and biological sex,” said Lord Patrick Hodge, deputy president of the U.K. Supreme Court.
The court cautioned that the ruling only applied within the scope of the law presented in the case. But it was nonetheless a sweeping (and rare) victory for cultural conservatism in Britain and a stunning rebuke of gender ideology in a country where citizens have been prosecuted and even jailed for “hate speech” for posting criticism of transgenderism online.
Just a few days later, the U.S. Supreme Court indicated that it is poised to deliver another blow to gender ideology during oral arguments for Mahmoud v. Taylor. That case centers on a policy in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), the largest school district in Maryland, which requires students to learn a “gender and sexuality curriculum.”
The details of the case are indicative of just how quickly and completely gender ideology has infiltrated American public education. Much of the controversy surrounds children’s storybooks which feature transgender characters that teachers are required to read to students.
One of the stories, called “Born Ready,” shows a mother immediately “affirming” her daughter’s “new” identity as a boy. Another book, titled “What Are Your Words?” and intended for pre-K students, reads, “My pronouns are like the weather. They change depending on how I feel.” Another tasks three- and four-year-olds with searching for images from a word list that includes “intersex flag,” “drag queen,” and “underwear.”
MCPS teachers were also instructed to reprimand students for suggesting that people can’t change their gender. If a student suggests that it’s “weird” to say a boy can become a girl, for instance, teachers are told to explain how that comment is “hurtful.”
Initially, the curriculum was optional. But when an overwhelming number of parents said they wanted no part of it, MCPS reversed course. Not only would the curriculum be mandatory, but the district would also not tell parents when they would be teaching it.
Parents sued on religious grounds, arguing that the district had violated their First Amendment right to withhold their children from instruction that violated their beliefs. The case has now landed in the Supreme Court, and the justices appear disposed to side with the parents against the school district.
The Court won’t hand down its final ruling until later this year. But in the meantime, conservatives are having plenty of fun pointing out how thoroughly the lawyers for the school district embarrassed themselves. At one point, Justice Samuel Alito could barely contain his disgust, lambasting the district’s dismissive attitude toward parents who don’t want their child’s schools force-feeding them gender ideology.
But court cases aren’t the only sign that the cultural tides are shifting against gender ideology. 79 percent of Americans – including 67 percent of Democrats – oppose allowing men who claim transgender status to compete in women’s sports. That figure is up 12 percent from just last year. 68 percent of American adults also oppose the practice of prescribing puberty blockers to gender-confused minors, while 57 percent say a person’s gender is determined by sex at birth.
Even teachers union boss Randi Weingarten – who has defended Critical Race Theory as “accurate history” – went on Fox News to say that if she were still a teacher she wouldn’t read the books MCPS included in its curriculum.
Mounting evidence about the dangers of so-called “gender affirming care,” whistleblower reports, and the courageous work of conservative activists have all helped put proponents of gender ideology on the defensive. But while some Democrat lawmakers are reading the political tea leaves and distancing themselves from gender ideology, others are doubling down.
In Colorado, for instance, Democrats are on the verge of passing HB 25-1312, a bill that would effectively criminalize opposition to transgenderism. As AMAC Newsline reported earlier this week, that bill “would officially make misgendering (not using someone’s ‘preferred pronouns’) and deadnaming (referring to a transgender individual by their birth name instead of their chosen name) acts of discrimination under Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act.” It would further instruct courts to consider misgendering and deadnaming “acts of coercive control” in deciding child custody disputes.
Meanwhile, up in Maine, Democrats are attempting to amend the state constitution to mandate that school districts allow males to compete in women’s sports. That move has come in apparent response to the U.S. Department of Justice filing a lawsuit against the state for its ongoing defiance of President Donald Trump’s “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order.
For conservatives, the tide may have turned in the battle against gender ideology, but Democrats have made clear that the fight is far from over. Victory will require not just legal wins or polling shifts, but continued courage from parents, whistleblowers, and citizens who refuse to be bullied into silence.

It does seem overly simplistic to say that Democrats are on the wrong side of every issue;its true of course, but one has to ask “why”. I wonder what the Moslem community things about the gender bender theory being forced in schools, they are very conservative, no one would dare to attack that, and traditional , no one would dare to peep about it and very strict about the religious teachings, no one would question that, so what do they think of this insanity forced on the kids, unless little Moslems are exempt from attending the classes, which would not be tolerated or allowed in any other case. To me, this is all the short 10-year outcome of SCOTUS decision in June 2015 making marriage between two consenting adults legal nationwide. The case involved “The petitioners, 14 same-sex couples and two men whose same-sex partners are deceased…”
I find it difficult that THIRTY people were able force onto the rest of the USA to accept what the LGBTQ community stands for. What seven of ten judges’ rule in favor of changing the definition of marriage that has stood thousands of years, since the beginning of man’s creation, is mind-boggling. That decision was approval of LGBTQ marriage as well as lifestyle choices (think Sodom & Gomorrah). And I guess it was disapproval of our Creator God’s decision to destroy both cities due to their growing depravity.
The LGBTQ community has since 2015 made it their mission to recruit as many as possible, even going into pre-kindergarten public schools; and their campaign is pushing harder and more perverted with ‘transgenderism’.

I take great umbrage with men, pretending to be women, so they can compete in WOMEN’s sports, for no other reason than to win and set records. All women in this world should be outraged over this. You can’t win against men, so you play this game to compete against women…SHAME ON ALL OF YOU!!! You are selfish and all you want to do is win something, by hook or by crook, doesn’t matter to you. If you did, you wouldn’t be doing what you’re doing. You are destroying what women have fought for, for over 100 years. We wanted our own sports to promote FAIR competition amongst WOMEN. When a man who, competing against men, ranked 43rd in his sport, declared himself a woman to compete in women’s sports, and breaks all women’s records in that sport by a huge margin, he singlehandedly proved what female athletes have been saying about trans-men. Trans-men should not be pemitted to compete in any sport, as a woman against REAL WOMEN. Set a category of the sports for trans-men and compete against each other. You don’t want to do that though. Why? I’ll tell you why. You know you’ll be competing against other men who might very well kick your butt in the sport you’re trying to win and take over, that’s why.
I think the tide never changed, but liberal school boards, teachers, judges, etc. just pushed it through. I really don’t think 99% of parents wanted anything, and still do not want anything, to do with gender ideology. I also don’t think it’s all about religious freedom either. It’s a common sense thing straight up. Parents should be able to be parents whether their children are at home or in schools. Parents should have the say about what type of sex education their children receive. I think pre through third grade is still way too young, like in Florida has. Kids do not have the brain power at those young ages to make such decisions and they should not be groomed by schools. None of that should start at least until high school. It’s hard to believe we have come to this point. It should never have gone this far. See how elections do matter? Right down to the school board for sure?
What is wrong with these people? You are the gender you were born with, no matter what you may think you want to be or should be. And even adults who attempt to change genders, it’s very obvious there is something wrong with that person, they just don’t look or even seem “right”, or even completely human, even with all the constant medications and ongoing surgeries, I can’t think that these people end up being happy after it’s all done, and it’s never all done, because they never look like what they think or claim they are. I refer to transgender people as “IT”, because they are no longer, by their own definition, what they were born as, and they damn sure are not what they are claiming to be, so if you are not a “he” or a “she”, as far as I’m concerned, then you must be an “it”. And in Britain or Australia, or Germany, I could be jailed for this comment. These are mentally sick people, defective in my opinion, humans are not given a choice when it comes to gender, it’s just a fact of life and nature. Instead of mutilating themselves, do yourself and everyone else a favor, and either learn to live as you were born, like the rest of people on this planet, or just blow your brains out and leave the rest of us alone. As for teachers/school counselors that can be proven to promote and support transgenderism to underage children in ANY age or grade or school, they should have their teaching credentials revoked, and jailed for child abuse, molestation, mental torture. Kids have enough problems during puberty as it is, without having authority figures telling them they were born the “wrong” gender. And I haven’t even mentioned God in this whole comment yet. Only God decides your gender. By trying to change it yourself, it will never work, because nobody but God can make that happen for real. Those that try it just become an “it”, with no gender, because no testicles or ovaries, no testosterone or estrogen production by your body, means you are no gender, regardless of the charade you may live.
All this began with some nutcase College or University professor who ‘published’ a paper saying gender & sex are not the same thing. The typical adult human body contains around 10 to 40 Trillion Cells and Each One of Those Cells Contains a vast & full-complement of DNA — Marking each and every cell with XY for Male and XX for Female in the Cell’s Chromosome Pairs (Each Pair was contributed by Mom & Dad)!
No “Trans” transformation can change this indelible identification of Biological-Gender so there should also be No Changes permitted to Other Gender-Identification (i.e., biological gender which is precisely what “Gender” is defined to mean) to: Birth Certificates, Passports, Driver’s Licenses or Qualification to Participate in Sports Categories.
We must quickly put a permanent end to such Non-Science and Nonsense being pushed in our schools at all levels today!
People need to be responsible and make the choices that are best for them while not letting their own personal choices destroy opportunities for others, such as biological women in Women’s Sports.
It is certainly absurd to permit Males with their original Gentelia, whether or not they simply “Identify as a Woman for the day or the event” or have undergone Trans Surgery of Medication, to invade Women’s Bathrooms and Lockeroom’s. Women deserve respect for their privacy and even they safety from possible male aggression!
Afterall, common sense should tell us there is a very good reason why we have two different categories: called Women’s and Men’s Sports — Justified by Fairness & Safety.
The very same principle and logical reasons that Heavyweight Boxers are not permitted in Lightweight Boxer events and adult professional Ball Players are not allowed to compete in Little League events with 10- &11-yearold kids! It’s just basic “Common Sense”!
Also, Trans-“Doping / Changes” create an unfair advantage, especially for Women’s Sports! Having Specific “Trans-Category Competitions” might be impractical due to the relatively low number of Trans-Athletes.
I don’t know whether current sport rules would allow a Biological Woman Athlete to compete in the Biological Male Athletics Competitions or Not since the Woman Athlete would be voluntarily accepting a physical disadvantage and some of the Male Athletes might feel embarrassed if beaten by her.
The point is that Biological Male-Trans-Women could simply continue to compete in only in Male Athletics Competitions (Not in Women’s Athletics Competitions) as well as Biological Female-Trans- Men.
This would simplify the number of Competition-Categories insuring a comparable number of competitors across Women’s and Men’s Athletics and greater fairness that is provided now & destroying Women’s Sports.
With this proposal, I am sure that the main criticism from the “Trans Community” will be that it will be unfair due to the drugs used during the process may have changed their strength and other competitive factors!
I have exactly two (2) points in response to such criticisms:
1) First, it was their decision to elect for “Trans” Treatments — Like the “Doping”.
2) Second, it was up to them to decide what is most important to themselves whether it be “Trans Treatments” or “Optimal Athletics Competition” and accept the consequences for their decisions — If you don’t like being a Man, OK … Just don’t expect to impose on Women and their privileges.
It is very selfish of the Male-Trans-Women to take unfair advantage of Women Athletes and destroy their traditional and fair competitions in this shoddy and shameless way!
Biological Female-Trans-Males have chosen via the treatments (i.e., “Doping”) and wish to be treated as Men so it only makes logical sense for them to only compete in Male Athletics. Whether or not that has placed themselves in a less-competitive situation with Biological Males, it irrelevant since it was their choice and they must accept the consequences!
Unfortunately I live in a Marxist/democrat controlled state (Colorado) that is right now trying their best to pass their transgender agenda that would take the rights of parents away and give it to the state, all in the name of inclusion and equal rights. These tyrants just won’t give up. All the more reason we who have a brain need to never back down. We must keep fighting for our Constitutional rights and common sense or the Marxists will prevail and totally destroy our country. They just about did it the last 4 years and will try to do it again if enough weak minded people vote them back in. Many in Colorado are sick of these Marxist/democrats and will try to vote them out next election. Until then they are destroying a once great state one bad bill at a time.
