President Joe Biden is transferring more student loan debt onto American taxpayers with only weeks left until he departs the Oval Office.

The Biden administration announced Friday that it is giving $4.28 billion of student debt relief to almost 55,000 more public service workers including teachers, nurses, and law enforcement officials.

“From Day One of my Administration, I promised to make sure that higher education is a ticket to the middle class, not a barrier to opportunity,” Biden said in a statement.

“Because of our actions, millions of people across the country now have the breathing room to start businesses, save for retirement, and pursue life plans they had to put on hold because of the burden of student loan debt.”

The Department of Education is forgiving the debt through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, a policy that permits the forgiveness of remaining student loans for public employees who have made 120 monthly payments.

“Four years ago, the Biden-Harris Administration made a pledge to America’s teachers, service members, nurses, first responders, and other public servants that we would fix the broken Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, and I’m proud to say that we delivered,” said Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.

“The U.S. Department of Education’s successful transformation of the PSLF Program is a testament to what’s possible when you have leaders, like President Biden and Vice President Harris, who are relentlessly and unapologetically focused on making government deliver for everyday working people.”

The Biden administration greatly expanded PSLF as part of its broader agenda to cancel student loan debt by transferring the debt obligations to taxpayers. Over the past four years, the Biden administration has forgiven over $180 billion of student debt for 4.9 million borrowers with a variety of tools, according to the Education Department.

Of the $180 billion in relief, $56.5 billion of it has been handed out through income-driven repayment plans, such as the Saving on a Valuable Education plan, an initiative expected to cost $475 billion across 10 years.

President Biden has not stopped forgiving student loan debt despite the significant legal hurdles his various initiatives have faced. The Supreme Court ruled in June 2023 that Biden could not move forward with a $400 billion student loan cancellation plan under a law passed in 2003 allowing for student debt to be wiped out in cases of a national emergency.

With the end of Biden’s terms, the student loan cancellation plans are likely to go by the wayside. President-elect Donald Trump and many other Republicans have criticized the student debt transfers onto taxpayers as a bailout of highly educated elites with hard-earned tax dollars provided by the working and middle classes.

What part of “You don’t have the authority to do this,” does the Biden administration not understand? If the Trump administration had done this, democrats would have impeached him. Also, the people who took out these loans SIGNED CONTRACTS to pay back those loans. They need to abide by those contracts and pay the loans back.

Did the author actually think Biden or his handlers would change their policies based by simply being over-ruled by the Supreme Court or the Trump landslide in November? The Biden family has already decamped D.C. for their homes in Delaware as various other problems caused by the Democrats continue to burn around the world. I expect Team Biden will continue to cause as many problems as possible right up to January 20th. It’s who the Democrats are.

If my math is correct, that is about $40,000.00 per person. I paid for my college, so how about Biden gives me $40k toward my house and car payment?

What is the explanation for the astronomical cost of the college education? It certainly does not churn out mental giants.

Biden is brain dead. Everybody has been covering him for 4 years. I want to know it was actually making these decisions. Obviously it’s Obama

FJB is a corrupt swamp dweller who doesn’t obey the law. I would love to see Donald Trump disregard rulings by judges, or the Supreme Court, as he pushes to make America great again. After all, Biden and his corrupt administration disregarded court rulings. Just imagine how liberal heads would explode if Trump were to pull the same stuff that Biden is pulling. Now THAT would be fun to watch! MAGA!!!!

Where is the money coming from that will repay the institutions that lent out the money?
If the government was shut down, this crap would not happen.

Could Biden be held responsible for his actions once he is out of Office for openly defying The Supreme Court’s decision earlier?

This so called president has been a lawbreaker since his first term in the senate. No surprise he would disregard a decision by the Supreme Court. I think a case brought against him after January 20,2025 would be completely justified by incoming AG Bondi….
That if he doesn’t pardon himself which is likely..

Thanks a lot, you retarded, old goat. I did not have the opportunity for a free education, yet I am required to pay for someone else to have the opportunity make the big bucks. So I am paying my hard-earned money for a future CEO to make millions? This is robbery.

His administration is rushing to spend as much as possible in the last month+. To me it appears they are trying their best to bankrupt this country.
Thing is it’s evidently being done using funds already authorized for the various departments in the administration. Since it’s the end of the year, does that mean it’s unused funds in those depts that they’re hurridly trying to spend? If so, it’s a lot of unused funds – which means those agencies/depts did not do their jobs (which the public pretty much knew anyway).
Perhaps most of the funds are coming from Border Patrol which was literally nearly put out of business under the Biden administration. The Biden admin has basically been a total WASTE in every way possible.

I’m wondering since most of us believe the Marxists cheated to get Joe in the White House, and if in fact Joe is not a legitimate POTUS, not to mention his mental decline, how can any of his policies stand?? They know they cheated. Nancy Pelosi’s quote before the 2020 election; “No matter what Joe Biden will be sworn in as President of the United States on January 21,2021.” How can anything Biden’s criminal admin. has done be written in stone???

That’s over $77,000 per person!!!!! I certainly didn’t approve that and I don’t approve of it!!! These Democrats think that this money is going to buy them elections but that didn’t help their most recent initiative for the White House! We already have such a high national debt that these kinds of expenses shouldn’t even be considered!!! I feel like Biden and Democrats owe the American people the money that they approved for this vote buying scheme!!! There are many billions of dollars in forgiving loans but I got nothing out of this and I wasn’t asked!! Democrats seem to look at it like – it’s only money!! But when you don’t have money, you are struggling to keep the household together and you see government workers getting over $77,000 from us, I’m just a little bit pissed off!!!!!

When will someone in the lamestream media ask dimwit aoc why it didn’t have a bill to wipe out student loans, ready to be voted on in congress, on bidung’s first day in office. The demoncraps had congress & the senate when bidung started his stolen presidency, they could have passed the bill & the Republicans had no way to stop it. Could it be the demoncraps knew it was not popular with tax paying Americans & that it would cost them at the ballot box?

We took no vacations for 10 years while I went to school (evening classes as a working adult). We drove cars that were 20+ years old while I went to school. I worked 60+ hours a week while I went to school BUT I paid for my education and had no debt when I graduated. WHY should I now be forced to pay for anyone elses’ education? They made the deal – they need to stick with it. This evil evil plan to destroy our country needs to end!

I believe THIS is BO trying to FORCE JB to be ‘impeached by reason of insanity, lunacy, Alzheimers, or just ‘dementia’ (because they won’t TELL us what he HAS HAD for the last 4 years or more!) Because even if Oharris only serves as prez for a DAY, she will ALWAYS be ‘renowned’ for being ‘the first he/she prez’ AND ‘the first unBlack Black prez’ – and she was a DEM!!! which is the only ‘claim to fame’ the Dems want to be THEIRS!!!
But that won’t WORK if the Veep co-conspired with JB in doing what he’s doing – which she has ADMITTED TO DOING AND BEING!!! They will BOTH be GUILTY – and HER WORSE because SHE has not been so ‘disabled’ by any disease or octogenarian decline.
And so if SHE ALSO is ‘out of a job’ because of JB’s criminal enterprises that SHE participated in while in Office, she cannot then super-impose herself into his role as prez if she were to declare him ‘incompetent’ OR if the Congress impeaches them both at the same time for their mutual disregard for the Constitution’s ‘ethical’ standards being upheld.
At which time, the next person in line to lead the nation is the current Speaker of the House until the end of this Session, when he is either ‘re-elected’ or is ‘replaced’ by the majority Party – now Republicans. We can hope someone will see this and ACT on it!

Just as the Clinton’s ransacked the white house before leaving, Biden is doing the same thing only at the national level. This clearly proves these vipers true reveal. Americans must keep this in mind every election cycle. They’ll lie to your face to win, and they’ll hiss in your face if they lose. Biden’s scorched earth departure will be his legacy.
