Parents Defending Education filed a lawsuit on April 29 against the Biden administration’s reinterpretation of Title IX allowing males in female sports and private spaces.

The parental rights organization joined the Independent Women’s Forum, Speech First, and the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina in challenging President Joe Biden’s rule change to the 1972 federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in federally funded education programs across the nation.

The Biden administration’s revisions seek to add “gender identity” to the list of sex-based protections. Although officials don’t include a formal definition of “gender identity” in the revised rule, legal experts say it would allow males to participate in girls and women’s sports, use female-only locker rooms and bathrooms, bunk with females in hotel rooms during overnight school trips, and more.

The reinterpretation would also limit how individuals accused of sexual harassment can defend themselves.

If not overturned, the rule change—finalized in April—will take effect in August.

Michele Exner, senior adviser to Parents Defending Education, discussed the future of Title IX with “The Daily Signal Podcast.

“It’s an anti-woman, anti-girl policy,” Exner told The Daily Signal.

Exner spoke to The Daily Signal at the recent Road to Majority conference of the Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington, D.C., where she took part in a panel discussion about parental rights in education alongside American Parents Coalition Executive Director Alleigh Marré.

Is not gender established by the genitals? You are female or male unless there is an anomaly there Gender identity should be the psychiatric issue Those promoting it should be on the patient list At the top

No transgender belongs in the opposite sport or contest. Women don’t have the same strength as a men or Men have a different strength then men. What would the public or transgender men say if they allowed trans women into men sports??

Biden must think he’s an emperor or something. The very thing about which he accused Trump of being during his first term (namely, a dictator) is what Sloppy Joe actually tries to do himself!
Sloppy Joe (I should find another derogatory label; I do like that sandwich!) tries to change something in Title IX because he, personally, doesn’t like it; honestly, he probably doesn’t understand it! Well, he can’t legally do THAT, either! Any proposed change to existing US Code requires congressional review before ANY changes or revisions can be made to ANY part of established US law.
Our Nation is NOT a banana republic; not yet, anyway. We need to make sure it DOESN’T become one. And while I’m on that subject — people, please stop referring to the United States as a “democracy.” The government functions as one (it is supposed to, anyway), such as in elections, primaries, local referendums, etc., in a democratic process where the People elect — those who would administer the law. However — and a very LARGE however — the United States of America is a constitutional Republic. The sooner we get back to calling our country that, the better off we will be, and everything else will fall into place where they belong.
Let’s make America not just GREAT again. Let’s make our Nation, once again, the eacon of light on top of the hill, and let’s make that light BRIGHT again so that anyone — a person, a family, a city, a State or Province, even a country or Nation — can come and bask in that light, and take it back to illuminate their own peoples.
Let’s not limit that to merely a light. We must rekindle the hearth so we can see and feel the One true Light — the only Light through which we will find salvation and everlasting life. Do that, and our world will become successful and united once again!
