AMAC Members Help to Pass Louisiana HB 608
AMAC’s Louisiana members helped to pass HB 608, The Women’s Safety and Protection Act, by sending messages to their state Senators compelling them to support this bill. The bill passed and was sent to Governor Jeff Landry for his signature. This is a crucial piece of legislation that safeguards the privacy and security of women in various spaces such as locker rooms, changing facilities, school restrooms, prisons, and domestic violence facilities and keeps them free from biological males.

AMAC Members Help to Deliver Another Election Integrity Win in Oklahoma
AMAC members in Oklahoma stepped up literally at the last minute to help get SJR 23 to the floor of the Senate for a vote before the session’s expiration. They sent 77 messages to the Senate President Pro Tem urging him to bring SJR 23 to a vote. Our call-to-action was sent yesterday at mid-day and the Senate voted on the resolution at 6:30 PM. It passed overwhelmingly and was sent to Governor Kevin Stitt for his signature. The Oklahoma legislative session expires at midnight on May 31.
SJR 23 amends the Oklahoma Constitution to ensure that only citizens of the United States may vote in the state’s elections. This is the second election integrity victory facilitated in part by AMAC Oklahoma members. Just a little over one month ago, legislation was passed to ban ranked-choice voting in Oklahoma after AMAC members sent hundreds of messages in support of this bill.
AMAC Action Joins Coalition to Urge OH Leadership to Stop Influence of Foreign Money for Ballot Issues
AMAC Action joined with other election integrity advocates asking leadership in the Ohio House and Senate to close a loophole that would allow foreign money to fund the state’s ballot initiatives. A measure closing the loophole passed the House on May 30 and the Senate is expected to do the same on May 31. This measure has the support of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

The American Privacy Rights Act – AMAC supports and defends the 4th Amendment right to privacy Our government’s sacred charge is to ensure that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are obtainable and sustainable realities for We The People. To that end, the primary function of our federal government is observing, respecting, and promoting our constitutional rights, including our right to privacy. Recently, House Committee on Energy and Commerce Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation Chair Maria Cantwell (D-WA) presented the comprehensive draft legislation American Privacy Rights Act. According to Chair Rodgers and Cantwell, “This bipartisan, bicameral draft legislation is the best opportunity we’ve had in decades to establish a national data privacy and security standard that gives people the right to control their personal information. This landmark legislation represents the sum of years of good faith efforts in both the House and Senate. It strikes a meaningful balance on issues that are critical to moving comprehensive data privacy legislation through Congress. H.R. 3853 – Radiation Exposure Compensation Reauthorization Act
AMAC Action Supports our Atomic Veterans who, between 1945 and 1962, participated in hundreds of nuclear weapons tests, cleaned up radioactive residues and contamination on the Enewetak Atoll in the South Pacific, were exposed to dangerous levels of radiation as a part of the U.S. military occupation forces during World War II in Japan, and those who were held as POWs in and around Hiroshima and Nagasaki before 1946. May 29 Chapter Meeting: CO-05 Delegate Russ Cotton hosted the meeting and David Willson, candidate for El Paso County District Attorney, discussed Colorado County and State Assembly Outcomes.
May 30 All-State Meeting: FL-16 Delegate Harry Bishop hosted the virtual Florida All-State Meeting. Grant Newman, Director of Federal Government Relations at NumbersUSA, gave an update on Florida election reforms and Sheriff Grady Judd (Polk County) spoke about the impact of immigration on crime.
