I am encountering more than a few from this generation who think just because they’ve graduated from college they know everything, and especially those who have that all important master’s degree. And yet they have no common sense or experience. More than once, one of these “smart” people have a “great idea” and when I say that’s not going to work because …, they say “well I hadn’t thought about that” or “I hadn’t looked at it that way.”
But, I am so thankful there are still some, including my grandkids, who do have common sense and are critical thinkers. They are smart and do know a lot but understand they don’t know it all. As they work to get that experience, they listen to those older who have already “been there done that” and add the knowledge of the older group to what they have learned.
Just like our parents and grandparents taught us, when we’d listen, we have a lot to teach this younger generation, if they’ll listen. Thank God, some will.

Instructions said choose up to two selections, but only one selection was permitted.
GenZ and whatever spawn they manage to create may be the last generations of humanity. They don’t know how anything works, can’t even change a tire, and they are incredibly arrogant about abilities/knowledge/experience they do not actually possess. Once these geniuses are running the show, when something breaks they will not have a clue how to repair it, so everything will quickly break down — electric grids, communications infrastructure, social institutions, manufacturing supply lines, energy production, chemical manufacturing, you name it. When it breaks for them, it breaks forever. If any of them manage to survive, they will be starving in the dark using stone tools because they can’t regard anything more as “destroying the planet.”
