Trump’s recent announced stance is another example of his constitutional savvy, and politically smart on his part. Overturning of Roe was the constitutionally correct decision by returning it to the states. The will of the people within each state should make those decisions.

Few decisions in the history of the Supreme Court have cried out so loudly for reversal, on both moral and legal grounds. And rarely has any decision been so fraught with conspicuous errors of law, fact, and reasoning as the majority opinion in Roe v Wade. In essence, it was the Supreme Court who ruled in 1973 that it is a constitutional right of some human beings to kill other human beings.

Besides being unconstitutional, Roe was undemocratic in that it decided abortion laws of all 50 states and replaced them with a nationwide policy of abortion-for-any-reason, whether the people like it or not.

I am personally pro-life, but any ruling by any authority will never abolish abortion. It’s sad that in this day and age with so many options to prevent pregnancy, that abortion is many women’s “go to.” Women who do not want to become pregnant should take the necessary steps to reduce the risk.

Ultimately, however, the decision to end the life of an unborn fetus is between a woman and her god. But if her god isn’t the God of Creation, we know how this story often ends.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”

Politically speaking he did the smart thing. Morally, it’s not what I would like since murdering babies should be banned all over. It disturbs me to see women marching for that right.

Dems will campaign on the abortion issue and not give a damn about the border issue, energy cost, inflation, crime and a myriad of other problems BIden’s administration has failed to address. Add to that Biden’s lack of foreign policy handling and you have the perfect storm for the demise of our country. They care about no one except their radical socialistic game plan to keep power. Vote them out and get this country going in the right direction.

Why didn’t you include a choice for following the Constitution? President Trump knows and follows the constitution unlike the majority of politicians. It has always been something that should be left up to the individual states. Roe versus Wade was unconstitutionally sound. Overturning it, put the issue back to the states where it belongs. I pray the whole country chooses life.

I agreed with President Trump’s state by state solution.

We have been saying for years that abortion is not a U.S. constitutional question and should be decided by the States. Now the Supreme Court agrees with us.

The alternative position being proposed by Senator Graham is for federal legislation but abortion is a state not a federal/constitutional question. Let the States decide.

I’d have taken the poll but there wasn’t an option that I agreed with. Abortion is not a federal issue. The only thing the feds have the authority over is what is enumerated in the Constitution. We’ve grown so used to a bloated federal government that we can’t imagine that there are actually issues that are not in their purview and this is one of them. The states can decide individually what their stance on abortion will be. It was decided properly when Roe vs. Wade was overturned.

It’s actually the correct policy if you believe in Federalism/states rights. The USSC got it right. There is no right to abortion in the Constitution

What is abortion? Killing a growing baby not yet born. Another person with different fingerprints and different DNA. If they check the unborn baby and find totally different DNA then the person performing the aborting should be charged with murder and the “mother” charged as an accessory. I do agree a woman should control her own body….BEFORE she gets pregnant. There are many means of birth control, but AFTER a pregnancy has occurred, different story altogether.

There is no poll option for those of us pro-lifers who believe that abortion is constitutionally a state’s rights issue but without the cynical election year unsupported allegation.

I am against abortion except when the life of the mother is actually in jeopardy. If the mother does not live, neither will the child.
As an attorney, I believe it is a state issue, not federal.
As an adopted child, I know each live is precious. Each child can contribute something. I contribute as does each child, even, an example, a person affected with Down Syndrome and the happiness that person finds in life.

While this may be the smart political move, abortion is wrong. Our U.S. Citizens, our children, nieces, and nephews, etc. need to learn that it is wrong. Perhaps, talking about it more will get that message to them.

The correct answer or choice is missing! Abortion is not a Federal issue, it belongs with the States. Let the individual States decide. That’s the way things were before SCOTUS stuck their nose into the issue and grossly overstepped their authority.

Our nation sacrifices babies to the baal god of convenience at its peril! God destroyed Israel for this, and they are His chosen people! How arrogant is it to think He won’t destroy the usa, this is the most important litmus test for any leader and all are failing, now even trump, how disappointing! This nation will not prosper again until this scourge of sin is removed, it is foolish to believe otherwise l

While dyed in the wool pro life, I believe there are two principles in play here. One is that you can’t eat the elephant in one bite – you have to use a spoon. Two is that you cannot legislate morality.
Getting to where we’re overwhelmingly pro life as a nation is an incremental journey and getting abortion legislation to the state level is a major, major first step. And if we didn’t learn the lesson with Prohibition and gambling/betting, then we’re doomed to miss it again with abortion.
Put me in the camp with those who say abortion is illegal except for rape, incest, and the threatened life of the mom. Also, there should be no government funding whatsoever for Planned Parenthood.

My first question to Trump or anyone who believes murdering a pre-born baby should be legal for any reason is this, “If I find you inconvenient to me and pay someone to murder you, is that wrong”? Of course the answer is yes. A typical response would be the pre-born is still a fetus. My question: Is the fetus alive or dead?” My response: If it’s dead, it can never be alive. If it’s alive and you kill it, why is that not murder? Americans have become numb to murder of the pre-born. Wake up. Our judgement by our Creator is imminent.

None of the poll statements express what I think. I am 100% against abortion with few exceptions. Yet, if we are to be a truly constitutional government, the issue does belong to the states. Either they will take the Godly position, or incur God’s disfavor. Trump has been clear on where he stands, but cannot be called a dictator.

President Trump handled it correctly. that should be the end of the discussion. This nation is on the verge of collapse thanks to the current administration. There are too many far more serious issues in this nation than someone’s right to murder their unborn child, rather than using proper birth control in the first place. People forget- the true purpose of sex is reproduction – not a recreational sport. It’s between these selfish people and God if they choose to murder their unborn children. The massive illegal invasion sanctioned by the current administration- biden’s leading us closer to another world war, his blatant disregard for SCOTUS ruling against his bribing young people to vote for him by canceling their student loans.. and more issues to numerous to list are far more important than abortion.

I realize it says the position that best matches my own. But my own position isn’t there at all. The fact is the federal government should stay out of our business as much as possible and I think Trump‘s position is correct because when you can leave it to the states, leave it to the states.

From the beginning of the Roe v Wade controversy many, myself included, insisted that abortion was not a Federal issue. We finally got our wish and now there are those that want to make it a Federal issue once again, just hoping for a different Federal outcome. There is nothing in the Constitution that supports a Federal law one way or another on abortion and we should leave it to the states to work out.

Abortion should not be a political ball bounced around. This is God’s territory and those who chose abortion can face God on judgement day with their explation. It is sad that people would vote for a politician just on his abortion views. If the republicans were smart, they would state this and drop it completely because the democrats will always use it as a weapon.

Unfortunately the GOP is not willing to fight to defend a pro-life stance on abortion. The Dems will destroy the GOP on this issue in November because communists all believe as they are told. I believe he is trying to be pragmatic about this and minimize it as an issue before the election. Not sure that it will work myself but…

I’ll say it again – It will go back to the states and the people of that state will be responsible for any child sacrifice and wrath of God. The government should not run every aspect of our lives as they so desire. We are run by the evil of the demonic of the deep state. Trump is the only one who doesn’t want total control. He is operating by by Constitution which is being destroyed. Wake up people. Our population growth is In the negative. You can’t replace real God-created human souls with AI or robots!

The issue of abortion belongs to the states. The federal government is mandated in the constitution to provide for an army for the protection of the citizens. Everything else belongs to the states. We the people have failed to prevent the federal government from dealing with issues that are not the federal government’s business. The issues like medical care, education etc need to return to state and local control.

The overturning of Roe put this issue of abortion back in the hands of the people. We, The People, need to work to incrementally restrict abortions at the state level, while making adoption a better option.
The US President is not a king, we the people need to do our part by supporting legislative state candidates that will submit bills to restrict abortions. We also need to educate and win hearts to value life.

People who believe abortion should be legal have obviously never worked in a neonatal unit in a hospital .You would see that these neonates are people and killing them is simply murder.

I didn’t mark any of the choices above because you forgot the most important one. He is taking the constitutional stance that it is not a national issue. It is to be decided by the states. That’s what our Supreme Court just ruled. I personally am opposed to abortion in any case. God is in control and He knows the day and hour that each one of us will leave this earth. It’s not our choice. It’s God’s.

I mut say this is the most slanted poll I’ve ever seen from AMAC. They left out the most logical choice. Trump’s position is the one that is most in alignment with the US Constitution. No one is more pro life than me, but a National abortion ban wouild be just as unconstitutional as the Roe decision permitting abortion nationlly was. In a perfect world, there would never be any abortions. Abortion IS NOT birth control, and it disguts me to see it used as such every day. However in the rare cases of threat to maternal life/health, the decision is one that is between the couple, thjeir God, and the doctor. While some women have chosen to risk sacrificing their lives for their unborn babies, some with happier outcomes than others, other women do not have the spiritual strength and convictions to make that decision. The same goes for the rare cases of pregnancy resulting from rape. Bottom line, President Trump’s position is the only one that makes sense, Constitutionally and politically.

The Supreme Court gave the decision back to the States in their ruling. In NC where I live has passed a law limiting abortion but not eliminating. I do not believe in Abortion and that as soon as a child is conceived he or she has a soul. I believe more babies will be saved by States legislators taking over.
I understand Trump’s stand. As President he may be able to do more to encourage states in passing pro-Life bills.
