Senator Susan Collins of the state of Maine has said she may vote against supporting President Trump’s emergency resolution to secure our southern border. She is up for reelection this year. In light of her lack of support for President Trump, would you consider voting for a candidate to replace her in a primary election?

I would love to vote for another candidate. I have already decided not to vote for Susan Collins ever again.

Even though she is a bit of a RINO she does keep the Republican numbers up. So it would have to be someone who is electable. Unfortunately, I don’t see any shining stars on the horizon.

DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD NOT VOTE TO SECURE OUR BORDERS?
Another candidate must be a strong conservative, or smart middle-grounder.

Senator Collins is clearly a moderate republican. I am a Constitutionally Conservative Libertarian. If you understand those political perspectives, you know that I don’t agree with Senator Collins on many subjects.
That being said, Maine has done much worse than Collins and probably will eventually do precisely that, when her day in the political arena is done.
While I would love to see a true Constitutional Conservative Senator representing Maine at the Federal level, I am sceptical of that as a realistic probability. Any such candidate would have to be exceptionally winsome and extremely well qualified, not to mention being very, very well funded.

NATIONAL SECURITY is the big issue and nobody addresses it in my opinion

After her performance in the past few years, I really wonder if she has gone over the fence…but does just enough to think Maine will still back her…(in my opinion) she has lost my vote..If it means anything anymore…

The days of “reaching across the aisle” are long gone, and Collins has built her reputation as a unreliable moderate. It is really time to retire her. Our former Governor Paul Lepage
would be a great replacement. In addition the so-called Independent senator Angus King Needs to go as well. Unfortunately, the vast majority of Maine voters tend to
side with democrats, mostly because a lot of them became de facto democrats because their parents were democrats, and the rest are addicted to the generous Welfare
system compliments of the democrat party & tax-payers!! It is really sad to say that the approval ratings of the entire congress is Lower than CNN !!

I certainly hope there is a good, conservative alternate to Susan Collins. How can a so-called Republican live in the State of Maine and not be for securing our borders? Maine is overrun with illegals and it is not a healthy situation. Even though she came through in the Kavanaugh situation, she has not supported the Republican peoples’ wishes for the majority of the issues and is further dividing our country.

She continues to be a RINO and I would love to support a real conservative!

I’ve been very disappointed in her actions the past two years. I have voiced my opinion to her through email. Border security is a huge issue with me. I wish she would support to protect the citizens over illegal aliens.

When we look at what Senator Susan Collins has done and said over the last several years, it’s very clear that she’s very much leaning to the Far-Left and is actually going against Republican position on many issues. Sadly, like many states, Maine does have a LOT of socialists living here BUT that doesn’t IMO mean it’s OK for Senator Collins to do things that clearly support the socialist movement. It’s time for Senator Collins to retire completely from politics and let someone new take that seat in the US Senate… and we need to find a good conservative candidate to do just that.

I don’t think people realize that Suzan and all our other senators are our means of making the president do what is right, by us and our laws.

Support Susan Collins, strong borders and the TRUMP agenda. Susan Collins stood for the proper rule of law rather than join the cockamamie Left’s lynch agenda on Justice Kavanaugh – THAT alone should guarantee her re-election!

Years ago when Collins was first pledged into office she said she would only serve for one term. Obviously that was a lie. Now she is just another weed in the swamp; the swamp that thinks it’s okay to have unborn children killed in the womb. I never vote for her. Anyone who crosses our border without a passport or other legal status is instantly a criminal for breaking U.S. laws regarding national sovereignty. Anyone who disagrees with this has serious issues with their thought process as well as displaying a false altruism.

Senator Collins is our OTHER Democratic senator! The past couple of years, she has certainly disappointed the conservatives in the state. Perhaps it time for some new blood. However, finding the candidate that could replace her and win could be difficult. Keep in mind, the Democrats seem to have the momentum in the elections. Sometimes it’s “Better the devil we know!”

Senator Collins has carefully weighed her choices in the past few years… mostly they have been for her benefit and not for that of our State. Border security affects our state in more ways than one… She does not seem to understand that drugs and illegals don’t stay along the southern border, but make their way north to our state. And the cost to house these people is coming out of our pockets. Time for a change… from someone who PROMISED to go after 2 terms…

As a lifelong Mainer & founder of the Christian Conservative Party of America, I cannot support Senator Collins any longer. Hopefully the Republican Party will retire or replace her with someone who supports the President. Susan Collins has been playing her supporters against her opponents for way too long now. There is nothing worse than a ‘lukewarm’ Republican representative for the Maine people in D.C.
