You can’t legislate a natural phenomenon like a 24-hour day to become a 25-hour day. Daylight Savings Time merely takes an hour away from the morning and adds it to the afternoon but it’s still a 24-hour day so why change anything? All the various kinds of businesses have to do is have a card or poster in the window listing summer hours and winter hours, then at each season, turn the card over, that’s a lot easier than the general public having to reset ten different clocks, especially automobile clocks.

If we can’t get an agreement on this, how about we just go to ZULU time? One time for the whole world. You adjst your day based on where you live. Simple. Not simple enough for you? we have to have time Zones? In that case, change the clock a half hour and leave it there. Best of both worlds.

Why do you want it getting Dark at 9 pm. It messes up your circadian rhythm, and your ac will have to run longer. The kids are going to school in the dark in the am. I prefer and have always preferred Standard time. It makes more sense to the ebb and flow of the human body.

I want the clock to stop changing. Since most of us have no choice about our work or school hours I like the idea of seeing the sun more. In the winter I headed to work in the dark and when I got home it was already dark, prefer DST all year.
Like many things businesses and schools could alter schedules so everyone was not out and about at the same time but no one is willing. Imagine if the whole country did not work the same hours rush hour would be less of an issue, huge energy savings. If we didn’t all work the same days recreation activities would not be so crowded.

In our area, the youngest of kids ( elementary school ) are waiting for the bus which arrives around 7 AM. When our elected representatives, in 2007, decided we should change to DST on the 2nd Sunday in March, it plunged them back into pitch darkness. Finally, after the darkest of winter months, the sun was rising shortly after 7 and gave them a little light and we have to change. In the past when the change was made on the last Sunday in April, it made more sense since the sun was up around 6 AM. And they wanted to run our healthcare.

I travel east in the morning and west after work. Changing the clock doubles the number of days I’m driving into glaring sunlight, it’s also a safety issue. And who want’s to stay up past ten o’clock to watch the Fourth of July fireworks? That’s what happens in Indiana with DST.

I prefer time to follow the sun. Daylight savings is for the lazy. Assume you sleep to 7am: manipulated time says it is 7am but the sun says it is 6am. You have wasted away one hour of day.
USA is the only nation to manipulate time. All other civilized people follow the sun.

DST for me! I would much rather give everyone more natural light during the time the majority are at home in the evening. It’s better to have time to get outdoor chores and play at the warmer end of the day. The schools in my locale have various start schedules to create bus effeciency, so some kids are on the curb early regardless of which time slot is chosen. Factories used to have set schedules, now many are 24/7, so that arguement is null and void. God knew what he was doing, quit messing with it!

I agree with President Trump. Statistics show that changing back and forth from standard time to saving time is not good for your health and does not save energy. When the time changes, I cannot get to sleep at night and have a hard time getting up in the morning for about a week. And, when my children were babies, it screwed up their schedule for naps. This is an old thing that needs to go. DST also allows the children to go out and play for a while after school because it’s still light outside. I heard an anchorman on TV say that the Monday after the time change is “Grumpy Monday.” That says it all.
