Now that Rep. Mike Johnson has been elected Speaker of the House, do you think the actions of the 8 lone Republicans who ousted Kevin McCarthy will prevent the GOP from winning a majority in the 2024 election?

God works in ways that are unpredictable; not in our expected time-frames; and sometimes unfathomable. Such is the case of the past few weeks of seemingly chaotic disunity among conservatives in the House of Representatives.

Was ousting the former Speaker McCarthy necessary? Absolutely! Through the muck and the mire, conservatives in the House came together and unanimously chose Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House. Well, at least they voiced their “yea” votes on the House floor…but Who was really responsible? As Mike Johnson approached the podium with his Bible in hand, he first gave the glory to God and cited Scripture about Who really puts rulers in place:

“For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.”                                                                              Romans 13:1

Since we have kicked God to the curb in all aspects of our society, and especially in government, He decided to shake things up a bit. He used Gaetz and the gang to stir the pot, and allowed the public display of floundering and dysfunction on the part of conservatives to gain world-wide attention, and cast much doubt on any hope of unity. Then God selected Mike Johnson, a devout Christian, patriot, family man, lover of the Constitution, and a MAGA conservative to take the reins and get back to doing the right job, for the right reasons, at just the right time. All the while, the left is tearing their hair out and dumbfounded that their plan to keep the chaos going has come to an end.

Johnson was a shining light during the Trump impeachment hearings. If he remains humble and dedicated to God and country, our future is a bit more hopeful than it was a few weeks ago. Keep our nation and its leaders in prayer!

“For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.”                                                                          Romans 11:36

Johnson will alleviate any concerns and also gain conservative confidence. A man of integrity and standing by and living HIS own beliefs. I’m tired of seeing the left accuse him of being a puppet of Trump because he felt the election was stolen and had the guts to make it known. He reports to a much higher authority than most politicians who are nothing but political prostitutes.

The only thing that will keep the “R”s from winning the majority in the house is rigged elections. Too many people continue to write off just how corrupt the election process in this country has become. Voter fraud and election tampering isn’t a “conspiracy theory”; it IS a conspiracy…period! There is a mountain of not only circumstantial, but direct, forensic evidence that has been completely ignored or scoffed at by the courts, the msm and politicians that are too complicit, compromised, compensated or just plain cowardly to address. Pretending the steal of 2020 didn’t really happen won'[t make fixed elections go away. In fact, it will make it worse. This country is being intentionally demolished from within (as well as externally) and its future as a Constitutional Republic is very, VERY much in doubt…due largely in part by people that just want to look the other way.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

  1. Although McCarthy is from my area in California, lot of us in the area thought he had abandoned the conservative values we cherish in this part of the most screwed up Blue state in the nation. He was just going to go along with previous GOP mindset and kick the can down the road. Granted Gaetz and his followers have given us a wild ride in the past 3 weeks, but the selection of Mike Johnson, true conservative, God fearing and a true Constitutionalist gives us hope. Republicans must unite in the coming weeks on all items they will vote on, and by doing so might even get some Dems to assist them push these line items through. Time to hang tough. Biden and his minions have destroyed this country and if they keep screwing around with the likes of Iran and China, a world war is not out of the picture. Time to get it together and get this country back.

Those 8 played the commies like a fiddle, if the commies would have been smart they never would have ousted the rino! Now they have a man with wisdom to reckon with that won’t buy into their nonsense. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

The media tried to make it seem like a clown show and unfortunately, it worked on some. The real clown show is the current administration. I, for one, am glad there are at least a few republicans that are willing to do the right thing no matter how the media spins it.

It’s not just about winning the election, it’s about winning it with the right people and more of the same uni-party types is not going to save the country and we better start realizing that. Republicans who sell out the conservative views of change back to the way this country needs to be governed is most important. McCarthy was not out to change but to continue in the same old way allowing the lobbyists to run our country by funneling our hard earned wages and taxes to big tech and the pharmaceutical and defense industries. If we don’t get spending under control real soon this country will cease to exist! Just look at what is going on here folks!

Love what the Gaetz 8 did. And love even more Mike Johnson being the speaker – especially after it looked like Tom (RINO) Emmer was taking the gavel. Would have loved Jim Jordan in the role too, McCarthy is too much of a good ol’ boy, he did a fair job but not nearly enough for the myriad problems facing us.

The people calling the replacement of the RINO McCarthy are some of the most politically non astute people I have ever seen. McCarthy is liar and a back-dealing RINO. Good riddance. Every patriot that loves this Republic owes Rep. Gaetz a resounding thanks. Politics is a rough and tumble endeavor, if you’re uncomfortable or embarrassed with the recent struggle within the Party, maybe politics isn’t for you.

I agree with the last post! Did I worry about the timing and that there didn’t seem to be a plan after ousting McCarthy? Yes! But there was a greater purpose and of course the media sought to make a democratic process seem more chaotic than it was. A shakeup needed to happen.

i listened to the new speakers interview with hannity. I felt such relief we have someone that is America first. I think he will get the border closed and deportation started. Our military out of the Middle East and Ukraine wars and on our borders. Then the trials begin for the people responsible for these crimes against our nation.

Our whole government is an embarrassment. I honestly believe the the White House and congress are our worst enemy. Just take closing the border. Think of the problems that would have solved. Too late now as we would have to declare war on the cartels. Shutting down oil production. Now we buy bad oil from 3rd. World countries. But this is ok by our government as the tax payers will pick up the tab. How about running a country on a month to month (maybe) basis. No budget, just kick the can down the road. Oh, and have you been to the grocery store lately? There is our government in action. Inflation is killing us. I just shut down bird feeding, one of our great enjoyments, as the price for feed is up about 50%. Now we are in several wars spending our money, that we don’t have, and kicking the can again. I love this country that we used to have but this is not that country any longer.

Most don’t understand the process and don’t want conflict. Fights are necessary sometimes. The greedy money grabbers in DC need to be ousted. They will fight tooth and nail to keep their thrones.

Rush said he knew we were in trouble when the phrase Make America Great Again was controversial — that we were no longer a people who simply had a different idea about how to accomplish that goal.
As far as I can tell, we have basically 3 (maybe 4) types of people in congress:
1) those who want to destroy America — or “fundamentally transform” it by tearing it down and building it back “better.”
2) those who think the D.C. institutions are a career path to enrich themselves and their families.
3) those who truly care about America and believe in the fairness of our constitution.
4) the “maybe 4” are those whose insecurities and egos are sustained by the lofty “position” of congressperson (think, from bartender to D.C. star).
The vote in the House simply revealed who is who. And now we know the process of replacement took so long because McCarty just kept backstabbing people through the whole process. Congress will do a much better and more honest job without the fear of McCarthy retaliations.

Yes, it was a clown show AND McCarthy had nobody’s trust but it is way too early to predict the results of next year’s House races.

Mike Johnson has plenty of time to right the ship but if a few GOP Reps become dissatisfied and move to oust Mike before the next election, that’s all she wrote.

The only clown show is Biden as the clown while obumba runs the show behind the scenes and he is the Trojan Horse. Thank God that Gaetz was willing to stand up to the swamp to represent us, the people! It’s about time someone in Congress did. I listened to his interviews, not the media, and he made complete sense. I supported his efforts every step of the way!

People who allow the media to feed them their opinions (which they then mindlessly parrot on social media) lack a basic understanding of the influence-peddling by large CCP-connected donors that McCarthy indulged. This made his word to colleagues and constituents WORTHLESS. He had to go, at all costs.

God works in mysterious ways. When all seemed chaos, in comes Mike Johnson, a “but I’ve never heard of him” guy. He’s a conservative, a member of the new Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC – look it up – they are an amazing organization), a man of prayer (oh no! ???? says the left as they kneel with kente cloth around their shoulders), pro-American all the way. We’ll see, but he sure is a ray of hope right now.

McCarthy promised to release the J-6 tapes and broke his promise. There are political prisoners sitting in prisons while the speaker of the house sits on potentially exculpatory evidence. Why did McCarthy refuse to make all 46 K hours of tapes public and will Mike Johnson release them. This is what will show us who is a true leader of the People’s House !

I supported removing McCarthy. He promised budgets, not done. He promised action on the border, not done. He raised the debt, by cutting deals with the DEMOCRATS! He promised NO CR’s, then he passed it with DEMOCRATS. The eight republicans were not the traitors, MCCARTHY WAS! I’M UNHAPPY Johnson is already talking about a CR. NO NO AND NO! DO YOUR JOBS, STAY IN SESSION. McCarthy “shut down” the House most of the summer, he knew the fiscal year was ending, the republicans should have stayed until they did their jobs. McCarthy is the one who let us down, and caused the $h!t show. I was disappointed Jordan wasn’t elected Speaker. Time will tell if Johnson was a good choice. My second choice was Donalds. Imagine, electing the first conservative black Speaker, and being able to call democrats racists!

McCarthy was a wolf in sheeps clothing and never intended to honor any agreement with Conservatives. It was obvious in his actions as speaker. Also, when he expected the Leftists to have his back that was making a deal with the Devil. He got what he deserved. Then when Gaetz announced all the back stabbing he was doing proved he was a GOP/RINO with a leftist bent.
There is no gain without pain; there is no progress without upheaval; there is no strong foundation built upon sand. IFF we lose the house, then it will be lost after putting our best foot forward. Then we regroup after identifying the weaknesses based upon Truth. It is similar to losing an election; I would rather lose in a fair fight than to lose being cheated. Phuque the GOP/RINO leftists! They are bad for America!

Think about it. In January, 2023, the new majority in the House Republican Caucus took 15 rounds to elect McCarthy as Speaker. At that, it was tied to a list of promises he signed on to secure that position. Fast forward 10 months and it was clear he had no intentions of fulfilling those promises. Thankful that Rep. Matt Gaetz, and the other 7 (including Rep Tim Burchett) stepped up to the plate to fire McCarthy of the role of Speaker. All the drama that ensure exposed the ugly side of politics in a way we never expected and a blessing to true Republican conservatives. As it turns out, it was McCarthy sabotaging the process of selecting a new Speaker, be it Scalise, Jordan or even Emmer because in the end, he expected to retake the Speakership. The names of the House members working with him was released each time votes were taken. So they are all exposed for their manipulative behavior. Yes, it was messy and ugly but now we know. We know McCarthy was given millions of dollars from political PACS and other unsavory sources. He distributed much of it in the 2022 primaries of candidates that were not America First candidates, thwarting the “Red Wave” effort many had worked for. Conservatives now have an opportunity to right the ship. May God bless our policymakers. And may God bless America.

McCarthy was a known RINO when he was chosen Speaker. I think most true Republicans knew that and weren’t happy with him being chosen in the first place.

I live in Texas. For what it’s worth I was represented at one time by Pete Sessions. In two primaries I voted for another Republican. I did vote for him in the 2018 election because he was a better choice than his Democratic opponent which wasn’t saying much. Sessions moved to central Texas after he lost in 2018 and he won a House seat there (Waco area) which returned him to Washington.
Honestly, I was not surprised that Sessions only got 8 votes for Speaker of the House.
As far as Mike Johnson I don’t know much about him but we will have to ride it out. Johnson did get 220 votes and there are two special elections coming up next month for two vacant US House seats. I am glad Sessions got eliminated early.

McCarthy, allowed Pelosi to continue to occupy her bonus offices, as well as protecting her and not exposing her misdeeds while Speaker. I believe McCarthy has always had integrity issues, and this is why the vacate rule was demanded. I hope he will still use his superb fund-raising skills to forge a strong and large majority.

The press is making a big deal about “The 8”. But they don’t seem to point out that the Democrats were happy with the deal McCarthy made with them to get the budget extension passed. The slim majority has to stick with their principles. I very much like the change. Mike Johnson’s speech was GREAT! I am excited to see what Congress can now do to stop the minority of radical liberals from destroying our “Great Experiment” that has made this country great. I also think this has been a wake up call – “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD!” Psalm 33:12 GOD BLESS AMERICA!

It is a process and sometimes that process is ugly but at the end of the day we have a conservative. I truly wish they hadn’t done any of it in secret but it is the process they choose. I think the only way moderate and conservatives loose in 2024 is if they stay home. Christians need to use the ballot box and vote their beliefs. The only way evil wins is when good men and women do not stand up.

McCarthy did live up to some of his promises during his brief tenure, but in the end his elitist bent led to the betrayal of conservative principles and his justifiable ouster. The clown show of the past three weeks is a necessary price to pay for a strong conservative House.
