Took a while to select my choice for one day to tune out the bad news. Born almost 86 years ago, this is the worst administration in my lifetime but I’ve learned nothing lasts forever, Biden will one day be just a blip in history. I believe America’s best days lie ahead. BLM, Antifa, Woke, CRT, the border crisis, and all the rest will be overcome by patriots like you and me. Almost 250 years of history proves to me that major problems can be and will be overcome, from our fight for independence the civil war, WW1 and WW2, and all the rest which tested our mettle are now history. Which by the way isn’t being taught in our public schools! So I encourage each of those reading this lengthy dissertation to chin up and strive. Vote like you life depends on it…it does!

I read the Declaration of Independence each July 4 and give thanks to our Founders for their genius and courage in pledging “to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” They remain among the most brilliant political minds in human history, and should be revered in perpetuity. It is unfortunate so many of our “leaders” today fail to grasp and respect the limited form of central government they bequeathed to us. Our “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” is truly in peril and cannot be taken for granted.

The 4th is a good day to give politics a rest and remember what a great job our Founders did to provide the blueprints for independence and future success and what our citizen soldiers did to make it all happen.

I am 75 years old and have spent over half my life observing the politics of our once free republic. I have seen the slime of the devil overtake the trusting people of this nation and infiltrate our schools, banks, and the elected. As a result we have been lulled to sleep believing that because of our glorious pst we can let our politicians maintain the glory that others have bleed and died so we could be free.
We have allowed the evil of the devil to take over our schools to deny our children any sense of who gave us this country. The devil has defiled the teaching our Lord and encouraged us to turn our backs on morality and turned innocent children into sexual play toy. He has taken over our banking system and has lulled us into to blindly allowing ourselves to become slaves to their phony money that we cannot ever pay back because of their “MAGIC MONEY” scheme. We have allowed politicians who are the minions of the devil to destroy the freedoms we were given by our founders by ignoring their criminal behaviors.
Some of us have awaken and tried to point out what we have become but the power of the devil keeps many of us asleep to the peril we have accepted as normal life. Those lost in dreams are called “NORMIES” and they are the greatest enemy in this whole scenario. In this present moment The Lord is giving us a final opportunity to open our eyes to the precipice we are tottering on. If we can awaken the “NORMIES”, the one person who knows how to defeat the devil and his minions can regain the power of the presidency. This can only happen if “NORMIES” realize that despite their dislike of the exterior and personality of our past president he is immune to the siren songs of the devil and can lead us away from the drugs, sex, avarice, and ignorance we have accepted as life as usual.
It is frequently said that freedom isn’t free. The price gets higher with every minute we stay asleep. If we don’t rise from this slumber shortly, we will awaken in the chains of the devil’s communism.

This July 4th I am saddened that America was allowed to die on November 3rd, 2020.

No doubt this is the greatest country in the world. The founding fathers had it correct, life liberty and pursuit of happiness. What they did not count on was 247 years later we are now led by a braindead leader and his minions who care nothing for the people they represent. Being a Vietnam Vet really disappoints me in the current status of our country and unless the American public wakes up and throws these people out of office our country is doomed. Have a happy 4th. but continue to fight this ideology or we will have nothing to celebrate.

I chose number 3, with 4 being a close second. We do have major problems, but we still have it better (I think) than anywhere else in the world. And therein lies the problem. If we lose or forfeit our freedoms here, where else is there to go? We have communist squatters in our national house, and they are destroying everything we hold dear.

Regardless that we have Communists running (and trying to ruin) our country and “Independence,” we are above all, a nation rooted in the values of “liberty and justice for all.” We ARE a noble nation that has provided freedom to millions and millions of people, not just Americans, around the globe. “We the People” are currently in a fight against a tyrannical government that wishes to dissolve our civil liberties. Like our Founding Fathers fought to shed the yolk of tyranny from England, we too, must fight the tyranny of a corrupt and Communist government cabal. On July 4th, I ask every American to think about how precious and unique our Republic is, and what they could personally do to fight back against the evil people who would dissolve our Constitution. God bless Everyone, and enjoy YOUR day of Independence.

This nation was once one nation under God. Now it is one nation under Democrat lies and hatred. It is no better than a lot of countries as we fall backwards and away from our religious views and following the word. Sad to see so many politicians have abandoned God.
May the people of this nation wake up one day and understand exactly what the Democrats are up to. Only then will we be able to truly enjoy the 4th of July as intended.

Three decent and applicable answers! #1 I marvel at the brilliance of our forefathers endlessly. They were simply amazing men who gave us the tools needed to maintain our government. We only have ourselves to blame for allowing our government to become the corrupt version of what we have today. #3 The best of all the answers simply because it is nearly too late to get up off our tails and do something about it all. #4 Is the way I used to feel about our country 100% BUT I would always ask myself why many in the world hate us so much. Today I completely understand. I too hate corrupt evil bullies which is what our country has become. It is time to revive the country that so many of our men and women have died for! God Bless the USA!

the 4th of July is so special for true Americans. this is the day in 1776 that we declared that we are free of a dictatorship separated by miles. History would have us blame George III for the breakup of this part of the British Empire, Parliament was to blame. but that is not the point, I prefer to think of the positives, with the negatives, of living in this country, and the struggles to keep it free. We fought for our freedom, now we must fight for our freedoms at home. It s too easy to sit back and let somebody else take charge, a little bit at a time, if we are not careful, we’ll be maneuvered out of our freedom.
So I will meditate on the greatness, and the fragility, of our nation and our freedoms. God Bless Us all, mostly God Bless the United Stated Of America!!

We are a semi-great nation, could be a lot better if we get the commies out of power!
As another wise AMACer has said “Remember, NEVER vote blue…no matter who”!
Makes a good bumper sticker!
The democratic party is Godless and useless, a nation will not continue to be blessed with the crummy stuff they want us to embrace, just like Michigan’s governor they are “Pure Evil”!

Thank God the Supreme Court slapped down his student loan forgiveness load of crap. In a couple days we celebrate our independence now let’s get our independence from the democrat party AKA Communist Party. Why is there a “pride” month but only an Independence day? Let’s make July Independence month!!!!!

After nearly 250 years, most don’t think of the REAL meaning of Independence Day and the sacrifices that were required to make it happen. Our troops sleeping in tents in deep snow, the lives lost, and just why we revolted from British rule. Government keeps growing and our rights keep shrinking. To try to hold the kind of revolt we did to found this country would be nearly impossible today. There was no internet, spy satellites, and cameras on every block back then. Plus our oppressors were across an ocean. Even with that the sympathizers played a role in making our fight harder back then. The people were victorious then, but I am not sure we could win again today. The people need to reign in government while there is still a chance, before government grows any further. We need to demand a halt to creating departments and agencies that dictate to, but are not answerable to the public.

I’m retired from the USNavy and have traveled all around the world. Some places are nice to visit and others aren’t, and I can truthfully say we have the greatest country on the planet. Sadly though there are members of our government that would like to see us back prior to our independence because of their thirst for power. Also there are citizens of America (including some of my family members) that believe we should be more like Europe. Most of these people (including my family members) have never been out of the United States. So I say to them, be careful what you wish for, you never know how good you have it until it’s gone.

We, as Citizens, of this great Nation need to stand up and be a shining example, like we use to be, for down trodden Countries. It is time to clean house and put Government back in its place. We are tired of the people we elected treating us like Idiots. The Political Parties have lost touch with the common people, so it is time for the common people to Clean House.

So far I have found nine ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War on all four sides of my family. Several of them came directly from Europe. Even my grandfather’s Mennonite ancestors served in the war. And thank you President Trump for the three new judges you assigned to the Supreme Court. Their judgements, especially this past week, have shown that they will interpret the law according to our Constitution.

Looking back at what the Founding Fathers gave us through their sweat, blood and sacrifice and then looking at what WE THE PEOPLE have allowed this country to devolve down to, I’m quite sure the Founders would hang their heads in shame and cry for what WE have done to their gift to US. They gave their lives and fortunes to give future Americans the sort of freedoms and rights that were unheard of around the world before the founding of this country.
Yet today, as we approach the 4th, most Americans are simply content to allow their rights and freedoms to be slowly stripped away by those that seek to rule over them with absolute impunity. Today we celebrate the 4th for what those in the past gave us and dread for what the future of this country will be under the autocratic rule that is clearly in our future. The People still have the means to correct the situation, but sadly most lack the will to save themselves and restore the country to its past place as an example of limited government, fiscal sanity and personal responsibility.

They only get to take away our rights and freedoms if we just stand by, throw up our hands and let them. Our founding fathers are spinning in their graves if they’re watching what we are doing to ourselves. God blessed them with great wisdom…apparently He’s cursed us with great stupidity and cowardice. We’ve fought to give so many others freedom and like sheep led to slaughter we are giving ours away. Sad.

I think about how this country is 247 years old, and within 85 years we ended slavery, unlike the rest of the world.
I think about how the 1619 project was 157 years of British slave rule before we kicked the British out, to form our own country, with the intent of ending slavery and we did it only 85 years later.
I think about our founding fathers wanting an end to Federal Government forced religion(The church of England C of E) , and self rule, and believed we were created by God with free will, to rule ourselves, and worship how we want, not by some dictator or king, but by representatives of our choice,
I think of the Federalist Papers, explaining what the founders were thinking as they wrote the Constitution and a few years later, the Ammendments to the constitution, making it even more perfect.
I think about every time I read the Declaration of Independence, It brings tears to my eyes because the same thing is happening again.
I think about how the progressive movement came out of Facist Germany, and the Soviet Union in the late 1800’s spewing Leninist collectivism and egrarian communal forced class lifestyles.
And I think about how our Independence has been reduced to a date, Happy 4th of July, instead of Happy Independence Day. No one says Merry December 25th, or Happy October 31st, or Happy November 27th, or Happy June 19th.

Every time I listen to the woke (DNC) propaganda I look at yet another freedom of choice that is being taken away in the name of save the planet. I think, “can these people be that stupid that they think doing something so insignificant as no gas stoves will have an effect on the climate?) I then I realize that the “stupid ones think it will, while the ones in power know it will just give them more power and control of the poor souls that think they’re actually helping, when in reality they are giving up just one more freedom of choice and providing government another way to control their behavoir.) I’m sick and tired of the stupidity as I always been told and heard, “you can’t fix stupid”!

Yes, Government has become too big, costly and not longer accountable to we the people. But, I also think of how these same types of abuses to our Freedom and Liberty by an out-of-touch monarchy to it’s people existed prior to our founding. How the people and our Founding fathers stood up for a person’s inalienable God given rights and changed our nation and even the world. How they put in place the US Constitution that gives us the tools needed to protect those Liberties and return control back to the people.
Take time to get back in touch with our nation and like minded patriots. Educate yourself, become involved with local towns, school boards and other organizations. For example, Article V allows for the States to put forwards Amendments to strengthen our Constitution.
We now need to fix Washington DC!
– Impose fiscal restraints on the federal government
– Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government
– Limit the terms of office for Federal officials and for members of Congress
Congress will never fix these issues. Article V also addresses this. The States can put forward Amendments. This starts with us the people. Become informed and engaged: SIGN THE PETITION and/or volunteer to help the movement. I thank you. America thanks you.
Happy 4th of July and God Bless America!

The founding fathers of this country are turning in their Graves. We have repeatedly ignored the warnings they all spoke of, and permitted the abomination called government to fester into an infection of indoctrination. We have far less freedom in this country than just 10 or 20 years ago. We have permitted the global elitists to dictate our policies and involvement in wars all while the corruption of greed poisoning our political representatives who have by definition become tyrants who demand more of our daily wage by taxation. When is it enough for us to wake up?

I chose #3 with #4 being a close second, too. Realistically we have serious problems in our nations which if not solved America is no longer going to be one the greatest nations in history. But, yes, I’m still so grateful for our founding fathers, the lives given for our freedom, and all the ways Almighty God has been able to use us to bless other peoples. May He be able to bless this nation again.

This independence day there is not as much to celebrate. We fought England to be free. Now we can’t fight because we might offend some small group. The government wants to control every aspect of my life The Constitution is being trod upon and ripped to shreds. I would say most so-called Americans do not truly understand the Constitution and what it is for and means. It is not just about my rights but my responsibilities to my country. I have lived in another country for some time. That country was considered free, but not really. Everyone who claims to be an American needs to live, not visit, a third-world country. See how it is there and compare it to the United States of America. Most here are clueless as to how privileged we used to be to live in such a great Country. The Supreme Court is now under attack. Why? Because they are finally doing their job and applying the Constitution to laws and what some call constitutional rights. One of the biggest issues is abortion. Where in the constitution does it spell out this is a right? Does anyone have a right to any healthcare in the USA? Nowhere and no one has the right to healthcare. Now affirmative action is chopped. People are upset because the legal discrimination is gone. I know people who got jobs or into a school who should never have been there. Completely unqualified. But because of their race or gender, they got the position. By no merit of their own. I was never given anything merely because of my race, color, or gender. I have never even thought I should have. Work for what you want and earn it fairly. Another issue is gender. There are but two read that 2. You are either male (i.e. penis and testicles, and nocturnal emissions) or female (i.e. vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes and of course the monthly period). All the rest of these so-called genders are nothing more than a perversion of the facts. I am also getting tired of the majority of Americans having to cater to small groups of radicals-. I was taught that the United States was and should be the right of the minority to be heard with the rule of the majority. It is just the opposite today, Do what and believe what a minority group wants or else. The gays demand we accept them and must change our beliefs to include them. Nope, not gonna do it. I have my beliefs and will adhere to them. Other groups like white supremacists, black lives matter, etc etc etc. We must all be Americans. I believe that most what to live their lives, no matter what their orientation, race, color, and so on. I have friends is all walks of life. I grew up in a diversified area. I graduated from a high school that was pretty well mixed. For the great majority of us, none of that mattered. We got along, were friends, and had a heck of a lot of fun. Nowadays you might offend someone. Well if I did too bad because it’s your choice to be offended. We all need to just be Americans. Not a (nation, continent group, or gender) American. Putting that way we’re all a minority. I personally could claim to be Dutch American. How many of us are there? Can’t be a majority. I mean in reality we all go back to Adam and Eve. What nationality were they? What race? Who knows. They were humans. As are all of us. We need to quit dividing ourselves into special classes of groups and just be humans in the crazy human race.

An idea, a suggestion for Independence Day observations — throughout the Country , wherever possible communities could have people take turns reading excerpts from the Declaration of Independence, and commenting on the significance to present day situations , for example , the final sentence of the Declaration — ” And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” A great reminder of the spirit of what took place in Philadelphia in 1776.
