The government is reporting the inflation rate at 4%, but Bureau of Labor Statistics says since January 2021, the dollar’s buying power has decreased by 16%, and since January 2020, the cost of gas has increased by 64%, bread by 29%, eggs by 87%, chicken by 23%, and electricity by 22%.

What are your thoughts on what the government says and the reality as you see it?

Here’s an easy inflation calculator: 99 cents only store raises items to $1.39. 40% increase is far from what the government lies about. Stop printing money we don’t have.

I don’t believe government numbers. The fine print, if any, admits they are adjusted. To me that means they are adjusted to benefit the politicians and bureaucrats so they don’t have to explain how they let everything get so bad.

The United States’ government has for decades LIED to the American citizenry in order to advance its AGENDA and INTERESTS, but since the first INSTALLATION as President of the United States of an illegitimate candidate in 2008 coupled with the coup and overthrow of the government with the installation of an incompetent, inept, corrupt, aging moron in 2020 has this practice become much more blatant and noticeable to the American public.

Go back to single subject bills in congress and work out a budget by allowing up or down votes on every single item in the budget. That would be the responsible thing to do. That is the reason I believe it will never be done until individual candidates run on this method and when elected live up to their promise.

I no longer look to the government, or anyone else, to tell me what’s going on “out there”. It’s ALL an illusion, colored by the one telling the tale. The only reality for any of us, is the one we are personally experiencing; and we should respond accordingly.

P.S. How shameful that this president’s spouse allows his party to parade an elderly gentleman around like he’s a fool. Shame, Shame on you Jill Biden . What marriage vows were spoken at your wedding ? I did not vote for Biden but I feel very sorry for him with a family like his . They obviously do not understand that they should be taking care of him with respect at this point in time . It’s all about money and power . They will answer to a higher power one day . Sometimes I wonder if Biden is crying inside . I don’t care for him or his agenda but it’s really heartbreaking to watch him.

When citizens of the United States can not trust our own government and trust our media even less, it is not only frightening but so terribly sad . Our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will never know why we are so passionate about OUR country . Those who have given their all for our freedoms are being disrespected. God bless all of us .

4% is a flat-out lie. As far as I know, food and fuel are not included in the calculation of Joe-flation; those items, along with sky-rocketing rent, are what are concerning. The lies will not stop until a conservative president is elected. NOT A DEMOCRAT!

Democrats think we’re all blind sheep. 4% is ludicrous. It’s more like 30% or more. Nothing I buy has only went up 4%. If it was truly 4%, we would be in a lot better shape. That is survivable. The current inflation is out of control and is killing us. My income sure hasn’t gone up 30% to keep up. All thanks to the Democrats. When was the last time this happened…oh, wait…it was the last time the Democrats had control 40 years ago.
