Sadly the House of Representatives is cluttered with RINOs. We need a speaker who will take the mantle and rouse these lost sheep to finally do what we the people elected them to do¾fight for reduced spending, secure the border, dismantle the weaponized government (i.e. Justice Department and other agencies), and expose the corruption that exists at all levels.

Our role is important as well. We all need to contact our elected representatives (at all levels) and remind them why we elected them to represent us, and let them know that we are paying very close attention to how they vote as our representatives.

“Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision.”  2 Timothy 2:15

The ERINO’s, Establishment Republican’s In Name Only, (of which McCarthy was one), NEED TO GO! They are destroying the Republican party. Conservative MAGA’s are trying to SAVE the party and our country. They need to get a real conservative in as Speaker! Then suck it up and get back to work!

As long as they are allowed to lie to us with no consequences, they will continue to do so. They have to be taught that we will no longer tolerate RINO’s helping the demoncrats undermine our country and our freedoms.

conservatives have always been put in a position to vote the lesser of two evils. Each time the lesser was still more evil than the last. McCarthy made promises. Some he didn’t even need a vote on. Like releasing ALL the January 6th tapes. Why are there still prisoners that are only guilty of exercising their free speech in prison. And why are the government plants that actually committed crimes still free? McCarthy could have held up funding of several projects that were unconstitutional and detrimental to our republic.

The problem is we have sat back for decades and let this happen. And for those who don’t like disrupters: are you just willing to go along to get along and sit back and just sigh and complain while nothing gets done, promises aren’t kept, and we get more of the sane in Washington? We have come to an inflection point in this country and need to firmly stand for something. We need more of the 7.

All McCarthy had to do was honor his word. That is literally all he had to do. Even if it meant shutting down the government and defaulting on US debt. Huge problems require BIG action.

Democrats are laughing their A— off at the GOP lack of unity. They have no intention of working with, the GOP, and will not bend. That being said, with the slim majority GOP has in congress, they must get their act together and come together quickly. Identify and push out RINO’S, get a speaker who will unify and do it quickly. Democrats do not care if a CR is reached, as they will blame GOP for failure anyway, just as they do everything else. The clock is ticking and GOP better unify or this nation will be destroyed further by the lying, cheating Biden trainwreck..

Gaetz led seven other Republicans period. The Dems wouldn’t follow Gaetz at the point of a gun.

McCarthy’s problem was that he lied to everyone on virtually every issue and made conflicting promises depending upon his audience. Nobody trusted him, not the conservatives, not the RINOs and certainly not the Dems.

Now let’s see if we can elect a Speaker who can walk the tightrope between impeaching Biden and retaining the House majority in 2024 (and who can get rid of that stupid rule that one idiot can get rid of the Speaker if the Speaker is not pure enough on every issue).

Finally, a straight forward poll that doesn’t beat around the bush. Conservatives blocked McCarthy’s run for speaker, until he finally agreed to some necessary changes, but then he turned right around and betrayed their trust by not even attempting to carry them out. Thank God that we have some “America first Patriots” in office to be bold with their convictions. Once we get rid of ALL the sheep that are fearful of changing the status quo and prefer to meekly fall in line to the power hungry demonrats, we’ll be much better off. If we don’t move forward and do this, America is LOST, FOREVER.

McCarthy was a #RINO, lied, and has played a game with Americans, BUT Gaetz was NOT conservative much less doing the challenge in a respectful of America way.
Establishment, #RINOs, and LAZY congressmen are there because WeThePeople are respectful, kind, and concerned about offending so we are silent more than standing up and demanding the Constitution be upheld, common sense and love of America with willingness to defend our flag and neighbor!
We the VOTER must stop being silent, must be active in knowledge of issues and our representatives be held accountable and motivated to fight for Old Glory and VOTE OUT all the #RINOs!

I hope the next speaker knows that it’s his(or her’s) job to stop the march toward communism that the democrat party has been on for the last 100 years. The democrat party has been fans of slavery since its inception and communism is one form of slavery. I guess the democrat party hasn’t really changed much since the early 1800s.

I’m split on this. It’s hard to get anything done with a small majority in the House and the Senate and President under Democratic leaders. What I’m tired of is the GOP always airing their dirty laundry in public. Quit running to the news cameras. I want them to go into a backroom and duke out their problems. Then go to the cameras as a united front. They need to tamp down their egos and get the job done we voted them in to do.
I never agree with Pelosi, however, this time she was right. She said McCarthy couldn’t handle the job and he couldn’t. He still thinks you can make deals with snakes like Pelosi and you can’t. Period. So, now I’m hoping they vote in someone who knows how to stomp on the snakes and get the job done.

I think the environment in Congress, both chambers, is coming to a head. For decades now, the “establishment” has dominated in installing it’s chosen as the leaders and that term came to include what can only be described as bullying as many of the rest of party members into doing as the establishment wants by awarding or withholding positions on committees, etc. Quiet simply, the establishment is THE NEW WORLD ORDER. Americans have slowly been waking up to what is happening to our country, especially over the last 15 or so years when the push to “cross the finish line” and install the global oligarchy, a goal that cannot be finalized until the biggest obstacle in the way, America and it’s now greatly eroded “Of the people, by the people, and for the people” form of government is conquered, a task that could only happen and is near completion, from within.
The path to globalist government started long ago and in it’s most recent blueprint, is rooted in the Fabian Society’s vision of what the world should be, a vision that calls for “the destruction of the old and reforging of the new”. We have been subjected to this latest assault on human freedom since the dawn of the 20th century. Progressivism, Socialism, and Communism all share that same ultimate goal and began to infect our own government around the time of the Wilson administration and has continued and grown since that time. In the past, instead of radical rapid overthrow tactics, the path has been slow and gradual. Today, Our government is full of adherents, or most likely useful idiots intent on establishing the false utopian dream of a perfect world. The top leadership, the real New World Order conspirators are now exposing themselves and openly pushing for the establishment of the old Fabian Society’s reforged “perfect world order” in which, of course THEY will be the rulers. History does repeat itself and as in the past, empires and rulers have come and been overthrown after the general populations have suffered under tyranny to the breaking point. Oligarchs never learn and history always proves they are not gods with their often violent downfall. So it shall be if they realize their goal of a new world governing oligarchy.

The Biden train wreck is going to get us in to WW3 if they continue their weak position on our foreign adversaries. How can they continue to supply Iran with money and no control on Iran nuclear build up. Thanks again JOE. What a moron.

I am amazed at the nearly perfect split in the respondents here. Another amazing fact is most of those who took the time to write more about it actually have a darn good handle on the situation–Rinos need to go and McCarthy is one of those who simply lies/d to get what he wants–the position!! I will admit–the fact that ALL democrats voted to get rid of McCarthy is a positive for him but “why” I’d like to know — Fact is we can make this easy, ALL Rinos and ALL Democrats need to be voted out to save our country for our kids! McCarthy was definitely a Rino type–now if we could just get rid of Mitch next!! And my vote for a McCarthy replacement goes for Jacketless Jim–Gaetz himself or some guy named Trump!! 🙂

Republican, Democrat, Liberal, and Conservative are labels only. We must stop electing people solely on the basis of these labels. They each took the same oath of office, and they need to be judged on whether or not they are, in fact, supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States, the very law of the land. The vast majority of people “serving” in the federal government believe that their first priority is to protect and defend their jobs. Their second priority is to accumulate personal wealth. And their third priority is to secure the first two priorities by expanding their POWER. We the people have become stupid and lazy, acting as though we are clueless except at election time. I applaud the removal of the former speaker and look forward to Wednesday, when we will see the priorities that are directing the House members.

Sadly we need some upheaval in leadership within the republicans. The expectations of most conservatives is the government should attempt to balance budget, protect our borders and have a vibrant economy. Right now none of this exists so change is necessary. It’s not too late but everyday it gets more challenging.

Here are the 8 House Republicans who are being excoriated for voting to oust Kevin McCarthy:
Andy Biggs of Arizona.Ken Buck of Colorado.Tim Burchett of Tennessee.Eli Crane of Arizona.Matt Gaetz of Florida.Bob Good of Virginia.Nancy Mace of South Carolina.Matt Rosendale of Montana.There is likely to be a LOT of disagreement about this, and it’s understandable that many will see the ousting of McCarthy as looking “bad”; looking like chaos and failure. However, there are some very good reasons to justify the ousting of McCarthy, despite the “bad” optics.

(1) despite approaching funding of the federal government and a potential government-shutdown, McCarthy let the house of representatives go on a 6-week recess break; McCarthy then waited until the last minute to address the potential government shutdown;

(2) McCarthy failed to honor promises to bring several votes to the floor (e.g. term-limits; to submit a federal budget; to address the $33.1 TRILLION national debt of nightmare proportions (which is also a serious and worsening national security issue); to use single-subject bills to fund the government; etc.); Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) stated: “With democrats driving the fiscal bus off the cliff at 100 miles per hour, we cannot simply be content to be the party that slows it down to 95 mph…Our current debt and our spending trajectory is unsustainable.”

(3) It was discovered that McCarthy made a secret deal with democrats about funding the war in Ukraine, and didn’t reveal that deal to house republicans until after Biden signed the CR (Continuing Resolution) to fund the government for another 45 days; also, the funding of the war in Ukraine (up to about $113 BILLION so far, as of SEP-2023) has left our own military short of ammunitions and supplies;

(4) McCarthy was slow to decide to declare an “impeachment inquiry” against Joe Biden, despite a growing body of evidence.

(5) Jim Jordan (and others) are purportedly going to run for Speaker of the House; which will hopefully be an improvement, and better in the long run;

(6) There are other reasons, which adds up essentially to “business as usual”, and continued “kicking the can down the road”. The severity of the nation’s problems are growing drastically in number and severity, and “business as usual” has now reached the point where it is a recipe for disaster.

Many will disagree with the ousting of McCarthy, but it may be the best thing that could happen, since “business as usual” is only allowing the nation’s problems to grow worse in number and severity. That is, provided that the chaos doesn’t get worse. It’s also understandable why a small handful of house representatives are sick of “business as usual”.

I tend to agree with positions on both sides. I don’t think the GOP should be controlled by a few “radicals”, no matter how just their cause (and I do agree with their cause). But the speaker, whoever, has a tough job with a small majority and a Senate that won’t support anything they pass. The democrats don’t seem to have minds of their own, but vote the party line, so they can’t be convinced to change. I wouldn’t predict what will happen, but maybe a shakeup is good now and then.

I am not a fan of the RINO’s in Congress and hope we can vote them out, but the timing of this move by Matt Gaetz will do more harm than good. He is giving the Dem’s fodder for attack and putting the Republican Majority in a position to possibly become beholding to Dem’s to gain their support to elect a new speaker. Study what happened here in Texas when Speaker Phalan made a deal with the devil Dem’s in the Texas House to get their support in the election, result is Phalan has torpedoed most all of the conservative Republican issues brought to the Texas house or watered then down so much they are no longer conservative.

It’s simple. There’s no way they will vote for term limits for themselves. Every single one, with 3 terms or more should be taken down in the primary. The uniparty is on full display in D.C. Most politicians after 3 terms have tasted the tainted money.
This poll doesn’t surprise me. Most conservative boomers seem to have two views.

  1. I’m doing ok the status quo works.
  2. There’s no way in hell I’m leaving this mess for my grandchildren, something must be done.

Just my opinion. BTW, I’m in group 2.

When I see the results of this poll, I understand why we are where we are. When almost half of the people, that voted in this poll, believe that it was NOT necessary to oust McCarthy, it tells me that many Republicans/conservatives still don’t get it, and don’t see how really bad things are . The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Matt Gaetz kept his word and did the right thing and that’s more than I can say for former Speaker, RINO, liar McCarthy. We have reached the point of NO RETURN and the only hope we have left is God (2 Chronicles 7:14).

Having said that, now probably wasn’t the opportune time to fling the R’s into more chaos.

McCarthy did not honor the agreement that allowed him to keep the position. He lacks integrity and Gaetz was forced to initiate the action to remove. I fail to see any negatives in this action. We are policing ourselves and will put someone in that position that we can trust and won’t pander. This is a win for conservativism and puts RINOs on notice. Thank you Matt.

Matt G went about this the wrong way. This should have been settled within the Republican conference. I do see Jim Jordan as a man who will follow thru on necessary actions. The Dems shame the Pubs in the way they show solidarity. The Republicans need to get their matters settled behind closed doors and show solidarity.

This question makes me angry, “It was not necessary. Former Speaker McCarthy did the best he could with such a slim majority in the House, and Gaetz’s opportunistic actions have weakened the Republican Party”. For my conservative fellow voters that selected this for a response, I really question your logic in choosing this answer. Why do I state this? Have we become so satisfied with mediocrity “with just the best he could do”,mentality? Our current state of affairs demand that we not make excuses. When Mr McCarthy first announced his candidacy for Speaker, I wrote to my Representative to not vote for him based on his “the Good Old Boy of kicking the can down the road attitude” plus his unwavering and strong vocal as well as voting in support of Mitch McConnell. How many times do we have to be sold down the river by a Speaker that is supposed to hold the line rather than a Speaker that draws one in the sand.
Mr McCarthy knew that the old ways of doing things was not acceptable nor to be tolerated when he finally gain the Speakers position. He stated that he fight President Biden’s extremely socialist and liberal agenda. Yet he failed miserably, he caved in and sold out by making a deal with the devil himself “Biden”! To excuse him is like saying that a person’s word has no worth and therefore it is not the person’s bond.

Only the outcome will determine if this was a good or bad move. If a conservative is voted in like Jim Jordan it’s a win. If another rhino or the slime chance a democrat gets voted in we will be in the same or much, much worse situation.
