AMAC with AMAC Action are planning a national conference for April 2024 where AMAC members, advocates, and their conservative friends are invited to attend and participate. In addition to guest speakers addressing priority issues like election integrity and advocacy workshops, presidential candidates will also be invited. A western US location is being finalized along with very reasonable pricing for accommodations. Would you purchase tickets and make arrangements to attend the conference in this presidential election year?

Something like this should have a virtual component for those who for whatever reason cannot attend in person!

Age and finances make it unable to travel much any more. Besides, it would have been VERY helpful to at least say Where this will be! East, West, North, South, where?

I may have considered going if the location was closer to home, but I live in Virginia; and a western site is too expensive a trip for a retiree on social security in Biden’s America.

At age 86 I’m a stay around home sort of guy. Would love to attend but won’t fly on the crappy airlines anymore so if the distance is too great to drive from middle Montana I don’t go. Pray those younger folks who go will be filled with an unquenchable fire in their gut to put things right in our country. Gotta happen or we won’t have a country! Plus the Democrat Cheating Machine must be beaten somehow!

Why is a western location being considered? A midwest location would be more affordable and would draw a bigger attendance,

I attended the NRA this year for the first time. Your admission to the NRA convention is your membership in the NRA. It was amazing to be with so many great patriots who support the second amendment. In 2024 it’s in Dallas.
I have always wanted to attend a CPAC meeting in DC, but it appears to be more oriented towards big donors and potential candidates for office. I just watch it from home on Newsmax. I support CPAC and what they are doing to educate conservative advocacy.
I love what AMAC represents, and both my wife and I are members. You may want to piggyback on one of the above conventions since they are well established and probably have many AMAC members already attending. Or do some joint programs with them as a trial balloon.
If you keep the costs down on the entrance fees, schedule it in a strategic, hub airport city, worth sightseeing at, when the temperatures are comfortable outside, you could have a winner!

While it’s an admirable idea, it would be more beneficial and practical if it were done as a virtual town hall. A Western US location does not speak well to conservatives. Many retirees, my husband and I included, don’t travel. Also, with Biden inflation, many retirees are not spending money on extras, i.e., travel. My suggestion is to re-think the logistics and whether you can do it on-line.

I’m not yet retired; still working. With a grandchild on the way, I’m saving my annual leave for the blessed event. If the conference were close to home, I’d consider it, but not enough information given.

While an in person conference would be exciting to attend, there are too many problems with a large gathering and the cost of attending such a conference. With the crazies out there trying to outdo each other with mass shootings on a daily basis, I would not recommend it. This country is out of control for one reason and one reason only, Biden and the Dems care nothing for America and want government to dictate everything we do, on a daily basis. Additionally are there any places in the West that are receptive to conservative views and common sense? Good luck if you find one.

This seems like a colossal waste of member resources. How is this going to benefit members? Candidates positions change often and campaign promises are worthless. We’ll learn nothing useable at such a conference.

I tried to “like” a comment from Dave about the quality of AMAC polls, but the system said I already voted for it. SOOO, this comment is about the quality of AMAC’s commenting system. Assuming this was not an attempt to censor, it’s like it was programmed by a beginning high school student. Is the budget THAT tight at AMAC?
Oh, as an afterthought, if you want to have a poll with meaning, why not poll us on where, when, and on what specific topics such a conference could be?

Why would you select a western location? Especially if by western you mean California, or any of the blue states on the west coast. We live in the Free State of Florida, why go to the far side of the nation, also in this day & age why not instead use the internet to do this conference people will not need to travel, & the important parts of it will be available to all of us. Thank you.

I’m tied-down looking after my animals. Besides, “somewhere out West” is a long trip from where I live. Also, this inflation shows no signs of abating, and it’s really taking a bite out of the dollar’s value. Gotta watch every dime spent these days.

There’s only one candidate who will do what’s needed to save our constitutional republic. The rest are pretenders who work at the behest of the Republican Party. Who in turn work for Wall Street, billionaire club and multinational corporations. All are not America first.

Talk is cheap, unless you have to pay through the nose to go to a conference somewhere to listen to it. Why don’t you folk do what the Democrats do? Go out there and DO STUFF — like rig elections, buy politicians’ votes, bribe officials, phony up statistics, spread untrue propaganda, and blackmail people like the Democrats do. They didn’t get control over everything out there by playing fair. Nobody seems to understand that fact. If you all are not careful, you will awake one morning and the USA will all of the sudden be a communist totalitarian ruled nation.

This is not really a poll, it’s an invitation to attend the AMAC event. This could have been communicated in an email during the week, along with the other AMAC emails that offer discounts on this or that.

The Saturday polls are an opportunity to address current events that affect Americans. They provide a forum for us freedom-loving patriots to express our opinions; encourage one another, enlighten some of us; or basically vent about the crumbling of our nation.

So, instead of seeing people are planning to attend the AMAC Action Conference, how about asking the following:

“What current event is weighing heavy on your heart this week?

That will likely yield a much more interesting comment thread!

Any place in the West, except, Portland Oregon, Seattle Washington, no place in California. Those places are guaranteed that you will be robbed, mugged, assaulted, urinated upon, have your vehicle stolen, or have a homeless person(s) sleeping in it and the police won’t be able to help you. If you use your credit card to reserve your room after the conference it will be used for fraudulent transactions. So please don’t use those cities no matter how the media or the travel bureau portrays how great everything is now.

In my federal career, we had annual “conferences” for this and again for that. Incredibly valuable time and travel expenses were expended and the “bang for the buck” rarely earned it’s value. Most could/should have been accomplished with teleconferences. I suspect the same with an AMAC conference, but at least the tax payer won’t be funding it. But too, nor should AMAC, which means “member funding,” unless 100% of the costs are paid by the actual attendees. Like the government, AMAC too needs to keep it’s resources in check. Not being a naysayer, just a realist…

No. Haven’t flied anywhere since Covid and don’t plan to. Maybe you forgot that a good part of your members are of the unholy unvaccinated and even with all the proof that these vaccines are more harmful than good I doubt we’d be allowed on a plane anyway.
Then there’s the money issue. Who but the very rich have money left over after inflation to spend on a trip somewhere to discuss things we already know about and also know nothing is going to change. Anyone who has read Revelations in the Bible knows that the one world government is going to happen and it will be in God’s timing. Everything we’re seeing is in Revelations from the digital currency to manipulate us and turning our sovereignty over to the WHO.
I can’t even bring myself to pray against it but just do like Jesus did when he prayed just before he was crucified. Father. Let your will be done and keep us strong thru this terrible time. Jesus said the times would be evil as the days before Sodom and Gommorah and a time of persecution would be so bad that unless he shortened the time even the very elect would be deceived. So I keep praying I and my family and friends would be kept strong enough to go through whatever comes our way. Even death if need be.
One little note. If you read Revelations in the Hebrew Bible the word “great tribulation” isn’t found. It’s called the “great persecution”. The whole goal of Revelations isn’t so much punishment but God trying to give people one last chance to repent. Just like after 911 churches were filled but now a few years later things are worse than ever. But in Revelations there’s going to be one 911 after another with very little time between them. And God is going to put us through trials to refine us like gold. Refining isn’t fun but necessary to remove all impurities. The end result will be a church worthy of being His bride before He returns.

For the last three weeks, this stupid AMAC website has not allowed me to vote up or down on comments made. It insist that I’ve already voted on a comment, when I HAVE NOT!
I have asked many times for AMAC to fix this site for its many tech problems that pop up constantly and nothing has been done. They must have a 16 year old running it.
No-more voting for me and I guess that’s what they want.

Rather than asking whether there is any interest in such a meeting AFTER you have already done a significant amount of planning and prep without any input from your membership base is generally NOT a recipe for success. Then again, I think AMAC is smart enough to understand that. So this week’s poll seems to be just more of a notification to AMAC members that AMAC will be holding some sort of meeting next year, at a destination not currently disclosed or as yet determined, that will involve some of the presidential candidates and at least the senior members of AMAC’s political action committee.
A far better approach would be offering to have a virtual component, as Dena V suggests below, that would provide potential access to the entire AMAC membership base. That is how you would ensure the most number of interested members participating in this planned event.

If a location in the Western United States is being finalized , well that sure narrows it down quite a bit — if the location being considered is between Canada, the Mississippi River, the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico and the Pacific Ocean — then I reckon anywhere in that area should be O.K. I’m not trying to be sarcastic , or critical or negative in any way — just thought a bit of humor would be O.K. Best Wishes to all at AMAC. I realize the complexity of planning, organizing, coordinating and scheduling a project of that size. However, I do believe many people, including myself would not be able to answer the poll question without knowing at least what State the event will be in.

Perhaps if you, AMAC, could make this like a podcast so all who really wants to can see it and learn! it sounds interesting, and many would like to be there, but can’t travel, or afford to travel Then we could get involved and see it in our area and homes that way!

First off, where would such an activity take place? Secondly, I haven’t shopped for grocery’s in a month, I can barely afford gas to drive to my doctor appointments. Having said that I certainly cant afford travel and accommodations to attend a conference. I understand the publicity optics of being able to film /tape actual faces as a useful publicity tool, but this could just as easily and far more inexpensively be done as an online activity.

This type of event needs to be done much earlier so that the Republican party knows what the people want BEFORE they throw all our donations behind the RINO of the current demonic nature. The Republican party has stood in the way of anyone with true American values getting nominated for too long. Trump only broke through because the party could not stop him like they have nearly all other people who have tried. Waiting until 2024 is a ploy to make those, who are not really aware, think they want the opinion of the people. They just want to say they tried to get your opinion while knowing it was too late by the time they “offered to listen”. We need a third party desparately!

The conservative/Republicans need a platform of what will be done once in the WH & Congress. This platform needs to be the talking points in ads, TV appearances, meetings, et al. The public does not need a rehash of all we already know of the cocaine/laptop/border/vp/riches earned/name calling, et al.
