progressives

Earlier this month, in the span of less than a week, two California teachers were removed from their posts for openly attempting to indoctrinate their students in radical liberal ideology. Gabriel Gipe, an AP government teacher at a California high school, was caught on camera explicitly stating that his goal was to turn his students into “revolutionaries.” Meanwhile, Kristin Pitzen recorded herself gleefully declaring that she removed the American flag from her sixth-grade classroom and made her students say the Pledge of Allegiance to a Gay Pride Flag. Both of these incidents come on the heels of another case where a teacher was removed for calling her students’ parents “dumb” for being Trump supporters, going on to say that Trump “sucks” and is “a literal moron.”

As the novelist and James Bond creator Ian Fleming once wrote: “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.” While “enemy” may not be quite the right word for the fight we are in now, the pattern does prompt the question: After decades of targeting young people just as they leave their homes and enter college campuses, why have progressives suddenly begun indoctrinating younger and younger Americans?

For one thing, the former students of radical college professors have graduated and become educators themselves, taking over teaching colleges, school boards, and leadership positions in K-12 education. We are witnessing the consequences of a fully-radicalized generation ascending to positions of authority. In addition, the mainstreaming of the Black Lives Matter movement may have made left-wing educators feel they no longer had to keep their indoctrination mission under-wraps. Finally, the media has made a concerted effort in recent years to raise the profiles of activist children, paving the way for the idea that inculcating young people with leftist ideology was not just normal, but laudable.

Progressives may also be looking to target even younger potential voters in anticipation of changes to the electorate. As AMAC Newsline has previously reported, momentum is building among Congressional Democrats to allow people as young as 16 to vote – a move that would be all the more advantageous to Democrats if they can turn teenagers into “revolutionaries” before they learn how to drive.

Arguably the most ubiquitous example of the radicalization of our youth is the celebrity status of Greta Thunberg, a creation of the media. The child activist’s 2019 speech to the U.N. was noted, not for the revelations of her speech, but how young she was at the time she delivered it; a mere 16 years old. That same year, her Time magazine Person of the Year accolade aggressively emphasized “the power of youth.” This was an open call, encouraging younger and younger children to become left-wing activists, something that in more sane times in our history would have been considered wildly inappropriate.

Another example of this phenomenon is the March for Our Lives, led by the leftist child David Hogg, which became a central force in the movement to ban firearms in the United States.

As AMAC Newsline has covered extensively, by far the most unsettling and widespread attempt to co-opt the minds of America’s youth has come in the form of the Critical Race Theory-inspired curriculum now being pushed in K-12 schools across the country. A school in Virginia, for example, posted a video attacking cops for making spaces “less safe” for other students, while celebrating the Black Lives Matter protests that actually made spaces less safe for students. The school claimed this was an accident and not reflective of their educational standards; however, similar messages are central to the school’s curriculum.

In one of the most shocking examples of radical indoctrination, grade school students at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School in California are actively being taught to rank themselves based on their “power and privilege.” According to documents provided by parents and a whistleblower in the school, students began their math class with a lesson on “social identities.” They create “an identity map, listing their race, class, gender, religion, family structure, and other characteristics.” With this information, the teacher then informs the third-graders that “the students live in a ‘dominant culture’ of ‘white, middle class, cisgender, educated, able-bodied, Christian, English speaker[s],’ who, according to the lesson, ‘created and maintained’ this culture in order “to hold power and stay in power.”

Educational plans like this are being implemented for children as young as two years old.

Meanwhile, statistics show that American students are falling behind their global peers in core subjects like math and reading. With a central focus on Critical Race Theory, it appears that the fundamentals of education are being outright ignored if not actively dismissed. By denying these children a strong foundation in mathematics, science, history, and other core studies, progressive-minded teachers and school boards are effectively denying their students opportunities to succeed and thrive in the real world. As they fall behind year after year, they will likely never achieve the educational milestones necessary to realize their own American Dreams.

A nation’s children are the pride and hope of its people. Since the founding, Americans have worked hard to make their country the greatest in the world precisely because they hope to one day leave their children a better place to call home. Now, progressives are trying to weaponize the country’s youth against America’s traditional principles, employing them as the foot soldiers in their crusade against American institutions. Conservatives would be wise to recognize and stamp out this threat before it is too late, lest the schools that they pay for become nothing more than re-education camps for leftist causes.

Support Project Veritas for doing the actual journalism referenced in your article. One of the very few news organization left that does actual investigative journalism in the United States. All the supposedly conservative news sites reference their stories regularly, but very few actually give Project Veritas the credit for doing the hard work they do. Case in point, no where in this article does AMAC mention Project Veritas is the source of the video and story on the California teacher mentioned in the first paragraph.

The left using the public school system as a means of political indoctrination is nothing new. It’s been going on for decades now. Look at some of the text books your kids have been using going back decades to see what they have been being taught. The left is simply no longer trying to hide their activities, because they feel they are close to having the numbers to ensure permanent control of whole states, if not the country. Time is rapidly running out for this country unless the American people chose to stop it.

This indoctrination by the left started over 50 years ago but in now in high gear! The left doesn’t want educated young folks because its hard to control and educated populace. Real educated people can think for themselves and that too makes them hard to control. Once the educated grasp what real freedom is, they start realizing their dream and become prosperous and the left hates that! So indoctrinate the young to be immature, uneducated and dependent on everything the left wants to peddle and then the left can control everyone in a prison of their own making! The frog has been in the pan too long and is being slowly cooked and doesn’t even know it!

This is one reason people need to send their children to junior colleges or trade schools! Get your basic nursing degrees and stay away from this foolishness! You can still get your RN and Bachelor’s online.

This has become generational. As the article states, indoctrinated students have become the teachers. Our children are in their middle and late 30s now, but by the time the twins were in first grade and our oldest was in fifth grade, we had already engaged in a minor war with our local public school. It finally got to the point where my wife and I didn’t know how we could afford it, but we knew we could NOT afford NOT to get our kids OUT of public school. We wound up going into debt to send them to a parochial school but it was the best decision we could make for both them and our family. How about wide open school choice? The left keeps talking about choice but the only choice they wind up defending is whether or not to kill a perfectly innocent and defenseless baby. Our children. Our money. Our choice.

First, the Professors radicalized the Grad Students. Easy to do, please the Prof, and you got a job as a Graduate Assistant. Second, the Graduate Assistants – who do most actual teaching in most universities – Radicalized the Undergraduates. Then Lastly, the Undergraduates (especially in the Departments of “Education” got their diplomas, and went to work in the K-12 Schools. And, they are working on all the K-12 students from top down. Most parents didn’t pay attention to what their kids were learning – after all they’d been to K-12 themselves and thought they KNEW what was being taught (it ain’t the 3 R’s anymore folks) – so until covid came along, they were ignorant of what was happening. Now we are finding out…

The government institutionalized Progressive run schools and Universities have been Socialist, Marxist indoctrination camps for the last 30 to 40 years, back when I was a kid. It was just more relaxed back then and more focused on the LGBTQ community wanting more rights. They don’t stop there, and never have. No matter how much rope we let out, they’ll always want more. So now it’s graduated from seeking rights, to the control of everything. This is the result of moral decline for decades. Mankind has been warned by their Creator over and over again about what would happen if a nation moves away from God!

AMAC please get a handle on the comment sections. Several times I’ve tried to vote for a comment only to get a ‘Big Red Notification’ that I already voted for a particular comment. Please also do away with the ‘robot puzzle’ in order to comment. After all, ‘AMAC’ does stand for the association of ‘MATURE AMERICAN CITIZENS.’ As mature adults, we don’t need to be so scrutinized in the comment section.
Thank you.

For the last few years I have monitored Civiqs surveys. The results are broken down by groups: age, education and gender. Very clear that the higher the education (post graduates) and those under 50 are the most liberal supporters of the left. Our colleges have been brainwashing our children for the last 50 years and it has trickled down all the way to kindergarten. I have set aside money to help my 4 teenaged grandchildren go to college, at this point I am afraid to see them go. We need to take back our education system or the USA is doomed.

Personally, I think the writer was correct in calling them the enemy! These Liberal Progressive Socialists, otherwise known as “Democrats” these days, are determined to destroy this country, and the patriotic people who built and maintain it, too! I definitely believe that we are living in the last days foretold by the Holy Bible! Holy Scriptures say that in the End Times, Right will be Wrong, and Wrong will be Right! The Day of the Lord draws nigh! Repent of your Sin, and be Saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ! There is no other way to Salvation… Praise God…

Enemy is the perfect word. The globalists running our country are the enemy. They seek to destroy America and build it back socialist/globalist. They play by the rulebook of Saul Alinsky who wrote the book on how to turn a country socislist in 7 steps. Five steps have been basically completed. Meanwhile, the GOP sits around in a state of inactivity and does nothing to slow down much less prevent the destruction of America. The demo/globalist party is made up of Godless, wicked people who have no concern about humanity, just the completion of their own agenda.

Of course. If you’ve never heard of Yuri Bezmenov, I suggest you search his name and watch the video of an interview that he did in the mid-80s. He was a former KGB agent that defected to the U.S. It’s all happening…just as he said it would. What can I say…there are a LOT of really stupid and gullible people in this country.
PS I disagree with the author; “enemy” IS the word for the fight we’re in. No enemy is a bigger threat than the enemy within…ever.

“Enemy” is a very apt word for hateful Progressives who want to train our children to judge one another based on their ethnicities. Communism has been regarded as an enemy of the U.S. for a century now, and Progressives lean more toward Communism than they do to the U.S. Constitution. So yea; “enemy” is a very reasonable and accurate term to describe Progressives in our school systems.
Let’s start by removing organized labor from our school systems. Why in the world should those working for government require protection from an organization that depends on that same government to exist in the first place? It’s a scam! Organized labor makes money from the school system, which it returns to politicians that support organized labor, who continue funding organized labor all with tax dollars provided by every working American citizen. Organized labor and politicians scratch one another’s backs while stabbing the average American citizen in the back. AND…we continue to pay for all of this!

It is still “wildly inappropriate” for adults to radicalize youth. At least to the sane.
This evil should have been stopped back in the 70s, and at least in the 80s when it became aggressive. But no one stopped it. And we got the idiotic, brainwashed millennial generation, and the next. We are now on the third generation of brainwashed fools.l
America is in big trouble. 75 years of stupid, ill educated, Communist numbskulls to lead us to our death.
Oh joy.

“Enemy” would be an appropriate title for this movement. We fought a huge, bloody war against a movement where children were taught to judge others according to their ethnicity. They also used “Awake” as their slogan as the current one says “Woke”. The free market was considered a curse of one particular ethnic group at the time. The movement was National Socialism.

The Left started this when all the American flags were removed from classrooms no longer needing them because the day did not start with a flag salute. Teachers and their unions seem to care only about money Money is something but it is never everything. The school started in Colorado which prohibits politics is the best news I have heard.

When my 2 children were in school decades ago, I frequently complained to the school board about the quality of the textbooks. Certain passages not-so-subtly challenged loyalty to the country’s ideals. The curriculum also didn’t seem to teach the same version of history we learned. And the “New Math”?! Forget about it!

When we started placing more value on how we fit in “globally”, results floundered, and now our public education is waaayyyy down the list of the planet’s best achievers. Third world countries are doing better than we are! And it’s costing us taxpayers a fortune! Yet all we hear is “We need more money to fix it.”

Unfortunately, the indoctrination of our young by the socialist public educational system will not stop any time soon. As long as parents are forced to relinquish their duty to raise their own children, this will continue. I understand the difficult decisions parents must make. Most families need a dual income and are forced to take advantage of before school programs, after school programs, free summer camps, free breakfast, and free lunch. Too many freebies that struggling families are offered which make their lives easier. And I understand all that. But, again, at what cost?

As long as our political leaders and legislators rig the system so that families must avail themselves of these programs, winning their votes in the process, public education will molder in the musty old basement. Good thinking by the liberals, in guaranteeing a self-perpetuating scenario that keeps them in power, our students uneducated, and the majority of us paying the bills for this failure.

I spent 25 years in public education as a teacher, elementary principal, and associate superintendent of human resources. During those years parental input has become less in less. Educational decisions have been taken from the local level and now mostly resides in the state capital and Washington D.C. This has allowed curriculum mandates to include many deviate social influences. So much so that public education has become more of a socializing institution than an educational enterprise. This, in essence, has dumbed down students by watered down teaching the fundamental subjects such as mathematics, geography, history, and constitutional studies. It has also influenced the breakdown of family involvement in their child’s education. So much so that American graduates are no longer competitive in the job market.
