WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Republican Leaders on the House Committees on Administration, Agriculture, Education and Labor, Energy and Commerce, Oversight and Reform, Small Business, and Subcommittee on Agriculture Appropriations sent a letter to the Biden Administration raising concerns about its lack of constitutional and statutory authority to enact the Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting which directs federal agencies to engage in activities beyond their stated mission, including increasing government employee involvement in elections and registration activities.

Key Excerpts of the Letter:

“We are certain you agree with us that every eligible voter who chooses to vote must have the opportunity to vote, and that every lawful vote must count, and increased voter registration and participation is a goal we share. Yet, our system requires that all our actions must comport always with the Constitution and other federal law.”

“Our concerns with this Executive Order focus on the following sections: (1) Directing federal agencies to assist states with voter registration if a state requests assistance; (2) Expanding the use of vote.gov and suggesting agencies add a link to it on their websites; and (3) Proposing ways to increase federally funded government employee participation in the voting process We are concerned that these directives go beyond the scope of each agency’s authorizing statute and mission.”

The letter was signed by: Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) and Subcommittee on Elections Ranking Member Bryan Steil (R-WI), Committee on Agriculture Ranking Member Glenn “GT” Thompson (R-PA), Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-KY), Committee on Small Business Ranking Member Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), Committee on Energy and Commerce Ranking Member Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Committee on Education and Labor Ranking Member Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture Ranking Member Andy Harris, M.D. (R-MD), Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government Ranking Member Steve Womack (R-AR).

The full text of the letter is available here.

Background:

On March 7, 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Executive Order on Promoting Access to Voting (E.O. 14019).

Specifically, the above-signed members are concerned that Democrats continue to fundamentally misunderstand the role of the federal government in elections, as the EO states, “It is the responsibility of the Federal Government to expand access to, and education about, voter registration and election information, and to combat misinformation, in order to enable all eligible Americans to participate in our democracy.”

Then read Revelation 14:8 – does this mean that the Democrats are bringing us to that end? If we can’t turn things around then watch out!

The president and his minions have announced creation of two agencies to put out propaganda, to push censorship and to punish people with dissenting opinions from the official propaganda, in both the DOD and in Homeland Security. This is insane. And the idea that they would go on national TV and brag about doing so is seriously scary.

You’ve got yo hand it to the Democrats. “It is the responsibility of the Federal Government to expand access to, and and educate about, voter regulation and election information, in order to enable all eligible Americans to participate in our democracy.” Who could argue with that?

Well, ……anyone who understands the Constitution can denounce this attempt to encroach on the stipulated right of the states to do all that the Federal Government now wants to commandeer from the states.

Every single point of this executive order, was proposed in a previous bill that would have given the Federal Government sole control of elections held in the states. That bill went nowhere because the Republicans, and some Democrats understood the clear conflict with state control of elections.

Joe Biden’s handlers are trying to accomplish by executive order what they could not ram through the Congress. You know, just like the actions of a tyranny.

I don’t trust any of the Corrupt Democrats with anything regarding voting within the United States. In my opinion, fraudulent voting was widespread during the 2020 election and the Corrupt Democrats are gearing up to do the same thing on November 8th 2022.

What good is a letter, they’ll laugh at it and then trash it. Better served to get after fellow Republicans who are dragging their feet, like Mitt Romney. Call them out by name in publicity, on floor of House/Senate. Don’t vote for ANY funding bills, etc.

The fact that Zucker bucks says he will not be participating the way he did in 2020 means he has found an even more underhanded and untraceable way to do what he did last time. The expected red wave will be blunted by more subversive cheating techniques. The critical fact remains – THEY DON’T CARE!!

As Rhonda says below file a lawsuit against anything Biden does. He does not care what any conservative thinks and probably will disregard their letter. These nine are on committees but as indicated below it would be better to have all Republicans in Congress sign this letter. Of course you won’t get those 3 in the Senate who voted to confirm Jackson to agree with this letter since they do not care about child abuse or much else that is Constitutionally sounc.

The dems don’t fundamentally misunderstand, they just want more fed control over whose vote gets counted >how many times]. My guess is more blue states than red will request “assistance’…

It appears that if the best interests of any party are served by unconstitutional moves, all they do is get their administration do what they want by executive order. EXCEPT how can the president get away with an unconstitutional executive order?

State versus Federal has always been a key component in the law of the land. The Federal law has increasingly encroached upon what should be state authority. This was a huge concern of our founding fathers and sadly we do not have the historical primary concern of all the state leaders in our hearts. The size of the federal government is enormous and out of control.

What boundries can be enacted to rein in the flow of excessive executive orders? It seems at the very least a maximum number of orders should be set. Our legislative bodies are being cut out of the process. What Constitutional boundries address this problem?

This article states: “…above-signed members are concerned that Democrats continue to fundamentally misunderstand the role of the federal government in elections…”. The Democrats do not misunderstand the role of the federal government in anything they want done. To them it does not matter what the law or Constitution says but they act according to what they want done.
