AMAC Exclusive – By Ben Solis

It is difficult to find a more glaring contrast in leadership than Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and U.S. President Joe Biden – a fact that will be on full display as Meloni arrives at the White House on Thursday.

Meloni, a 46-year-old mother who became Italy’s first female prime minister last fall, rose to power on an unabashed conservative populist platform that shocked the European political establishment. An energetic leader whose fiery speeches often go viral on social media, she is the polar opposite of the 80-year-old Joe Biden in virtually every way.

For the media, Meloni’s election last year was a nightmare scenario. Ahead of her victory, The New York Times declared that her rise to power meant Italy had a “bleak” future. The Associated Press stoked fears about the “neo-fascist roots” of Meloni’s Brothers of Italy Party, while numerous other outlets made direct comparisons to Benito Mussolini (one common refrain from online critics was that she is “Mussolini in a skirt”).

But while the liberal press predicted the imminent collapse of Italy, with Meloni sure to be a Nero-esque figure, the opposite turned out to be the case.

According to Eurostat, Italy was the only country in the European Union that narrowed its debt-to-GDP ratio in the first quarter of 2023, delivering on Meloni’s promise to bring fiscal responsibility back to the country’s spending policies. ISTAT, the Italian government’s statistics agency, also reported that household purchasing power grew by 3.1 percent in that same time period, while income grew by 3.2 percent.

But as Meloni arrives in Washington the leader of a surging economy, Biden has struggled to generate any positive economic news – even with a mainstream media eager to sell his “Bidenomics” talking points. Most major investment firms are predicting that growth will continue to slow throughout the rest of the year, and families are still reeling from the hit that double-digit inflation took on their budgets last year. Just 37 percent of Americans approve of the job Biden is doing on the economy.

An even clearer contrast between Meloni and Biden exists when it comes to immigration. Throughout the first 28 months of Biden’s tenure, more than 6.5 million people have crossed into the United States illegally – more than the individual populations of 38 states. Biden has also stretched existing laws to allow more illegal aliens to remain in the country, incentivizing more crossings.

One Italian conservative pundit aptly captured the difference between Meloni and Biden on immigration by saying, “While Biden looked accountable for blowing the doors and fences up, Meloni bought a new watchdog.”

“Their approach to border security was like night and day,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Meloni has made stopping illegal immigration one of her chief concerns as part of her “Italy First” platform – and is even convincing other European leaders to follow her lead.

In June, for instance, the European Council signed on to an effort spearheaded by Meloni to work with Tunisia to stop illegal migration across the Mediterranean. Under the terms of the agreement, Tunisia will receive $1.12 billion to aid its economy in exchange for strengthening its own border patrol operations and implementing a naval blockade to stop human traffickers.

Meloni told the press that she was “very pleased” with the outcome of the deal, emphasizing that the agreement “could be a model, exactly where we want to go in the relationship between the European Union and the countries of North Africa.”

Earlier this week, Meloni’s government also promoted a new immigration plan of “growth and integral human development” during an international conference on migration and development in Rome, with 21 heads of state present from Europe and Africa, along with international refugee organizations. Contrary to the claims of the liberal media, Meloni is not opposed to all migration, but rather wants to crack down on illegal immigration.

Known as the “Mattei plan,” Meloni’s program is designed to end Europe’s predatory attitude toward Africa and help achieve long-term prosperity for both continents.

The Mattei plan is composed of four broad immigration policy elements: combatting illegal migration, reorganizing a legal path to citizenship, aiding genuine refugees, and supporting development in Africa. The program includes advanced education, tech sharing and investment in critical areas like water, energy, education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure to empower Tunisia’s economy and generate high-paying jobs.

According to former German diplomat Helmut Goertz, the plan “is a bridge straight to lasting success.” Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani added that “Italy does not want the Mediterranean to be a cemetery, but a sea of peace, progress and commerce, which benefits everyone.”

The President of the E.U. Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who co-led the Conference with Meloni, stated that “Rome’s model for the future” should be replicated “by other countries in the region.” In a surprising turn of events following the media’s meltdown over Meloni’s election just a few months earlier, “Italy Convinces Europe,” “Pact with Ursula,” and “Italy Leader on Immigration in Europe” were headlines emblazoned in Italian newspapers the morning after leaders inked the deal.

President Biden, meanwhile, couldn’t even get Mexico’s President Obrador to attend his “Summit of the Americas” last year.

While working with the E.U. on immigration, Meloni has been unafraid to push back on so-called “green” policies that have hampered Italian industry for decades. Pursuing a compromise with E.U. climate policies she calls “green gradualism,” Meloni has won carve-outs for Italy on restrictions on combustion engines that will save Italian carmakers, and has also secured victories for fossil fuel companies in Italy.

As a result of her advocacy for Italian industry, Italy had a $8.3 billion non-energy trade surplus in March, the largest in two years.

Meloni’s success has brought with it a sudden burst of popularity. One report from earlier this year even found her to be Europe’s most respected leader.

Meanwhile, Biden’s approval rating continues to languish in the low 40s. The leader of the free world routinely embarrasses himself on the world stage, and even longtime allies in Europe now question U.S. leadership.

When Meloni arrives in Washington later this week, these contrasts will take center stage – and that’s bad news for Biden.

Meloni is showing the world that conservative value policies work! Once again, showing how the media is nothing but a bunch of leftist liars, cheats and bullies! Americans could learn something from this leader!

Whenever the radical leftist Marxist MSM insults you and reigns their lying fear mongering adjectives on you, then you know you’re doing your job very well indeed. I’ve said before and I’ll say again: Giorgia Meloni is an absolute rock star! She has Italy firing on all cylinders for the first time in how many decades? Despite the way practically the entire nation of Italy is a coastline, and she and her party are fighting not only the invasion of illegal aliens trying come in but the evil scum of the EU and WEF global elitists who are working to cause Europe to assimilate to the alien invasion instead of protecting their “union.” Frankly, I don’t know why she would waster her time speaking with the likes of brain dead Biden or anyone in this corrupt administration. That POS satanist traitorTrudeau also earned himself a good slapping down when he made his spoiled little boy rant to “educate” her against her great work on protecting Italy’s sovereignty.
Yessiree, if the left dislikes you, you’re doing it right. God bless and protect you, Giorgia!

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has has true leadership qualities — a high level of intelligence, courage and resourcefulness . Her visit to the United States should be helpful in that there will be people here who will see what good leadership is all about . It is important to see a contrast in how things get accomplished by those in positions of leadership. Respect for sincerity, for example, it is something obvious , something that says a great deal about a Prime Minister or a President, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has that quality, and other qualities that are needed to inspire people to want to be part of good , honorable endeavors , to have their country proceed on the right course, in the right direction. The spirit of Faith, Family and Freedom. Giorgia Meloni can be thought of as having that spirit for sure.

Let’s Make America Great Again! It
is possible…. If my people who are called by, My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14. If we as Americans want freedom from over zealous government, we need to obey the above…. When your gods are anything but the one real God, you will never have real freedom… that is freedom from sin….
America will be great again when God’s people put Him first…

Seeing the gulf in effectiveness between these two leaders, who, in their right mind, in the Biden administration would even dare to invite Meloni for a state visit???
“Who in their right mind”, I think I just answered my own question!

Meloni’s for President! Why not? Obambam was able to run for President and he’s not an American citizen. Sounds to me like she would do a better job than the current buffoon we have in office.
God save the USA.

Personally, I find it degrading for the U.S. that 37% of Americans approve of anything the Biden administration has done or is doing. We may need a recount on this too.

And they predicted Meloni wouldn’t last. Fascist she was called. Right wingers cannot rule. Like Trump who made this country flourish during his presidency. Our economy was rising, our prestige around the world was great and there were no wars started. He made overtures to North Korea and even China was quiet as well as Putin. America was respected. Trump is still loved all over the world.
Sloppy has brought this country into disgrace with his accepting bribes and his lies and inability to govern. Led us into inflation. Humiliated us with his disaster withdrawal out of Afghanistan. Demoralized our army and weakened it. Lowered our oil reserve disastrously by selling this reserve to China. And then the migrant problem at our porous border. Anyone can come in. Human traffickers, smugglers, criminals, drugs and cartels are paying blacks to rob the stores and sloppy doesn’t do anything about this. Walgreens and other stores are locking up their merchandise. Even ice Cream is behind locks. Killings by blacks goes unnoticed or dismissed. Victims are criminals and criminals are victims in sloppy’s world. The Mexican Cartels own the southern border.
Our freedoms are taking away every day a little more. Till the day the banks will tell you where and how much of your money you can spend. If you don’t obey that money will be taken out of your account. You will never see it again. A plan to totally control you and take your money. Free speech is already controlled. They decide what you can say on social media. They don’t want you to think. They will do that for you we have been told.
Till America’s people wake up, we are lost and will no longer be a free and brave country. We will be a banana republic or a dictatorship under the thumb of the WEF and the elites that belong to this group of globalists.

I would trade Prime Minister Giogia Meloni for Joe Biden in a heartbeat. I believe that Meloni is just as conservative as Donald Trump, maybe even more so.
However, prime Minister Meloni does have a real challenge later this week when she arrives in Washington. She will have to use every bit of her inner strength to keep from laughing at the stumbling, mumbling clown known as Joe Biden. (I say this in a dead serious manner.) I suggest that she only look at the audience, and wear ear plugs while the clown is addressing the audience. Otherwise, Meloni will surely laugh out loud before Joe struggles to finish his first cue card sentence.
After the Italian Prime Minister gives her speech, she will probably have to smack Joe on the back of his head to wake the sleepy fool up.

Putting any other world leader next to Biden will only serve to highlight how completely unfit he is mentally to handle the job of POTUS. The last WH visit by the President of Israel showed just enfeebled Biden is quite well. Yet the media rose to the occasion to put up a unified wall of BS to deflect the public from seeing the obvious. When Meloni shows up, it will be another repeat of the same CYA from the WH and MSM. Word from a source within the WH is they will begin scaling back Biden’s public appearances so as to not highlight his deteriorating mental and physical condition. We’ll still be the laughingstock of the world, but we won’t be reminded if it almost every single day.

Great article, exactly the contrast between both directions of leadership and a squandered opportunity to make any difference FOR America and the continent!! It is a truly refreshing moment for PM Giorgio Meloni to make Italy proud and have Biden squirm in the oval against her accomplishments! It makes me wonder what reason he has to invite her?

“Big Tim” Sullivan cajoled fellow New York state senators into approving a landmark New York gun law in 1911, the one that the US Supreme Court has now overturned some 111 years later. The Sullivan law was passed with an avowed intent, supported by everybody from City Hall to the New York Times, to disarm newly arrived immigrants, particularly those with Italian surnames.
Both of my parents emigrated from Italy to New York during the 1920’s as children. As a first generation Italian American, I despise the New York Times for the prejudice they displayed against both sides of my family, and all honest, hard-working Italian-Americans. So if you think that I believe that anything the Times has to say about Meloni is just a continuation of that prejudice, you are 100% correct!

My biggest question is WHY??? Why has the corporate media chosen to back such a failing policy. Since they are the real “KING MAKERS” using the power of the press to protect and shield those they favor, and persecute and slander those they don’t, why have they chosen a path that leads to Marxism and Big Government rather than follow the precepts of our Founding Fathers which helped to make America as strong as she is??? WHY?

The opposition in Italy compared Giorgia Meloni to Benito Mussolini, the Italian dictator during the 1930s and early 1940s. This might have backfired on Giorgia’s detractors. A lot of older Italians, (obviously not the communist ones), regarded Mussolini as being a very beneficial leader. He was a dictator and a fascist but he brought about things that Italians appreciated, such as highway systems and other infrastructure improvements.
Mussolini’s catastrophic mistake was to align with Germany in WWII. The allied countries in WWII regarded Mussolini with distaine but before 1940, he was very popular with most Italians.

Biden says he’s never been more optimistic about America’s future. Why shouldn’t we be also? I mean, it’s not like Biden is not objective, or lying to us, right? He looks like he is fair, balanced and objective. And everything is more or less great! Ok, that was a bit of a satire for the laughs but let me address the matters more seriously below.
We in the United States are doing more than fine. It does not matter that much who the President is. Changes in life are incremental and things are good for the most part. Businesses still operate and jobs are plentiful. Our economy is strong and the Dollar is still the King. This is not going to change anytime soon.
It is true that we had let more people come across the border. But even that is a calculated and – I would say – a good move. I do not know if you noticed, but the fertility rate in the United States is around 1.8 child per woman. By the way, it’s lower in Europe. We need to have that number at 2.1 to have a stable population and a stable economy. The United States needs – badly – not only to have a stable population but also a growing one. We need to grow in numbers – the country is still mostly empty. But less and less younger people want to marry and have kids – I know this well since I am like that too. Me, and more and more guys under 40 that I know are increasingly reluctant to marry and have kids. There are many reasons to this – from financial, to boredom, to wanting to have an easier life… And by the way, I am an immigrant myself who has lived in this country for nearly 20 years. So even many immigrants who come here decide to just take it easy and live their lives. But of course, mostly immigrants either have young or teenage kids or at least are still willing to go thru with marriage and all that good stuff. And importing younger adults who just graduated high school is the sweet spot: other countries paid for their upbringing, the United States can employ them in their productive years (20-50). This has been the case for me personally (I came here legally but that’s just a technical detail, lol): I came to the United States at 20 years old and did many jobs moving up the economic ladder. And I am not the exception. People come here and they wanna make something of themselves and they work hard to get it. They pay taxes for older Americans to retire on and all that good stuff. So my bottom line is that things are actually a-ok.
I am a right-leaning independent living in GA and I did vote for Trump in 2020 (I wish I didn’t but it is what it is). I am still willing to vote for reasonable Republicans because I like a lot what the Republican party has to offer. But the Republicans need to become more reasonable, open-minded, and in tune with what most people actually want. Till then, I will vote for Biden next year. Peace.
