On Tuesday, Biden’s Department of Justice announced a lawsuit against the state of Arizona for requiring its registered voters to show proof of their American citizenship to vote in federal elections.
The lawsuit came in response to an election integrity bill, H.B. 2492, which was signed into law by Arizona’s Republican Governor, Doug Ducey, back in March. After the bill’s signing ceremony, Governor Ducey described the law as “a balanced approach that honors Arizona’s history of making voting accessible without sacrificing security in our elections.” In addition to ordering voters to verify their citizenship as a requirement to vote, the legislation demands that new voters show proof of their address when registering. H.B. 2492 is currently set to go into effect on January 1, 2023.
According to the lawsuit, United States v. Arizona, the Department of Justice “challenges certain provisions of HB 2492 on the basis that they violate Section 6 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and Section 101 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.” The lawsuit also wrongfully labels Arizona’s common sense election integrity measures as “unlawful and unnecessary requirements that would block eligible voters from the registration rolls for certain federal elections.” However, it should be noted that Arizona has required evidence of citizenship to vote in state elections since 2004, so Arizona voters are obviously capable of adhering to the policies outlined in H.B. 2492.
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich responded to Biden’s lawsuit by promising to fight it. To quote Brnovich, “In addition to free rooms and transportation for those illegally entering our country, the DOJ now wants to give them a chance to vote. It’s another round of Brnovich v. Biden. I will once again be in court defending Arizona against the lawlessness of the Biden administration.” In 2021, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Brnovich in the Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee case. The decision upheld Arizona’s H.B. 2023 bill, which prohibited out-of-precinct voting and the detrimental practice of ballot harvesting. Brnovich’s winning record against Democrats combined with the Biden administration’s lackluster arguments in a variety of cases suggests that the lawsuit will likely fail.
The Biden administration is more concerned with protecting illegal immigrants and their ability to possibly vote than American citizens and the security of their elections. Given the circumstances, the intentions of Biden and his Democrat allies are apparent: to bring as many new voters into the United States as possible to serve as a permanent left-wing voting bloc.
As soon as Republicans retake the House in November and are sworn in to office in January, their first order of business needs to be the impeachment of Biden and Harris.

Everyone knows that identification is needed to verify that a person is the person he/she claims to be. I need to show my ID for the simplest of things, like buying beer at 69 years old. It is absolutely mandatory, in my opinion, that ID and U.S. citizenship be required to vote in U.S. elections. The proper path to U.S. citizenship is based on, and should be based on, legally entering the U.S.A. as prescribed by law, and completing the proper courses of activities that lead to U.S. citizenship. If one does not do both actions, then one neither belongs here, nor has the right or privilege to vote in our governance been earned.

These forms of identification are: 1) a current and valid photo identification; or 2) a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter. If the voter does not present the required identification, Section 303(b)(2)(B) of HAVA provides that he or she may nonetheless cast a provisional ballot.

I do not now live in California but I used to live in L.A. county, on the edge of San Bernardino county. I had to go to the DMV that was in L.A. county. Since the early 70’s the DMV was crowded with 85-95% illegals. It was hard to move between lines and hard to get a worker that spoke English or at least spoke English as a first language. Every single one of those illegals got a driver’s license, possibly an ID. That was FIFTY YEARS ago! What is it like NOW?
Although a driver’s license is not considered proof of citizenship, I know that it is used for such in many locations.
It is the same with Social Security cards. Just as it was not impossible for an illegal to get a SS Card Fifty years ago (not at all easy but definitely not impossible) it remains, for many illegals, their proof of citizenship.
And how many illegals walk over the border with citizen documents in hand, provided (probably with life indenture) provided by coyotes?

I don’t believe in any other nation that allows voting, that non-citizens get to vote…I may be wrong, and often I am, but I think that’s correct about voting. It is obvious to me, that anyone who allows non-citizen voting is a threat to this Republic….non-citizens should not be allowed to vote, to own property, to get any benefits of any kind from any entity of the government. That would certainly put a stick in the eye of those who want immigrants to come here, jump on the band wagon of freebies and become a voter beholden. This is just one facet of how screwed up and the system has become and just how screwed we who are citizens are going to be in the end.
I’ve lived in California for 70 years, welfare and handouts are a way of life, vocation, if you will. In order to sign up for these programs they must have ID. SO, don’t tell me that it’s a hardship for people to provide ID to vote. They all have ID to get their government checks. End of story!!
