HermanWe at AMAC are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend Herman Cain and send our deepest sympathies and prayers to his family. Herman was a fierce advocate for conservatism and the embodiment of America’s can-do spirit. We will miss him dearly. Herman Cain truly embodied the American Dream. A man of strong conviction, unwavering love for his country, and the example of American can do spirit. Herman was born on December 13th, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee. He faced adversity from the very beginning of his life. Growing up poor in Atlanta, Georgia, as he watched his parents work tirelessly to provide for their family. Some may have seen this as a challenge, but Herman grew up with the same work ethic his parents taught him. Herman also had an extensive education, he earned his Bachelor of Science BS, in mathematics at Morehouse college in Atlanta, GA, and continued his education at Purdue university earning a Master of Science MS, in computer science. While completing his master’s degree he worked full time as a civilian ballistics’ analyst for the United States Navy. He then climbed the ladder in a corporate career, eventually becoming the CEO of Godfather’s Pizza.

Throughout his life, Herman had a keen interest in public policy. In 1996, he dipped his toes in American politics for the very first time serving as a senior adviser to the Dole/Kemp presidential campaign. He was a firm believer in conservative values and was very outspoken about his beliefs. He faced more adversity when he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2006. This was a pivotal time for Herman because when he defeated cancer, he felt that he must impact the world in a bigger and bolder way. His strongest run for the Presidential campaign was the race in 2012 where he ran for the republican nomination. He heavily focused on taxes with his 9 – 9 – 9 plan.

In a speech at CPAC in 2011, Cain said, “Stupid people are ruining America.” He saw the problems our nation was facing before it became clear for the rest of us. He opposed Obamacare, even claiming if Obamacare was implemented when he was diagnosed with cancer, he would have died. Herman Cain was a supporter of AMAC and a friend of Daniel C. Weber. He saw the value in our mission and did what he could to help AMAC grow and make a difference in Washington. His conservative values were fundamental to his character. A man of deep conviction for the lord and a charismatic appeal that encouraged you to be better, Herman Cain will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Gloria, two children and grandchildren.

I loved Herman Cain! When I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago, he was one of the first local talk show hosts I listened to at every chance I got. I’m so devastated and saddened, as all of us are.

Herman Cain understood the best method to lift modern youth out of the smothering embrace of 55 years of Democrat policies designed to keep black America tied to the Democrat party was through ensuring access to quality education and then providing access to the economic opportunities of our capitalist system. He championed charter schools as a superior choice over our dismal public education system, because the latter is more focused on just “pushing students through the system” instead of whether they were receiving a quality education.

He also understood that nothing helped bolster a sense of self worth like a good job. Obviously the left hated him, because he represented a living example of what a good education and lots of hard work and persistence could potentially accomplish. It will be interesting to see how the media and Democrats portray Herman Cain over the next few days. Somehow I doubt they will be lavishing much praise on him for what he accomplished in his life. I remember how brutally both the media and Democrats treated him back in 2011 and 2012.

I would suggest that you change the red flag color I take pictures of the articles and place them on my news feed – it looks like the article is red flagged by someone other than you.

Will Obama speak at this great man’s funeral?
A leader and a man that created jobs for many!

He will be missed. I voted for him, really liked his platform. The dimacrats destroyed his presidential run. He dared to step out of the plantation. Really enjoyed his time as talk show host when he took over Neil’s show when he retired. RIP Herman Cain.

Herman Cain. The embodiment of the American Dream. A template for a life of dignity and success.
A pioneer whose life has charted the path to a more perfect union, a more perfect world and a life worth living. One of our finest. One of humanities finest. A true American hero. A force for good in the nation . A force for good in the world. We will miss your magic smile, your enlightened wit and your Divine example. Rest In Peace my friend and in the warm embrace of your Lord and mine.

I’m still in shock – had just heard a newsclip by him two weeks ago and had no idea he was actually still in the hospital. Our son’s first job in high school was with Godfather’s Pizza in Broken Arrow, Ok. which was floundering. Six years later Mr. Cain turned Godfather’s around. We respected Mr. Cain as an exceptional business man. We voted for him in the Presidential primary election because we respected him as an honorable honest politician. We listened to him as a news contributor because we respected him as someone who could be believed, you could take him at his word, you could take it to the bank. I’m absolutely stunned he won’t be here with his “can do” spirit for this election or for that matter for the good of our Country. I praise the Lord we got to see that there are good men like him and I want to thank Gloria and their children for sharing him with the rest of us. We are praying for your comfort and blessings…

Herman Cain and Allen Keys are THE two best candidates to run for President since Ronald Reagan. Like President Trump, Mr. Cain was an excellent businessman. Unlike President Obama, he cared for the Afro Americans and was a devout Christion always smiling! God bless his family.

Was really sad to learn of his passing. I’m sure he was a positive influence to many. Gone too soon. He should have lived until at least 100! 🙂

I would like to know the treatment program that Herman was on. He went into the hospital soon enough that he should have been saved.

Herman Cain – was a great person with great skills . He will be missed and I hope all of us take his example and build on his logic and skills – not like the pariahs like Sharpton, Jackson and Obama.

Herman was a good one and will be missed. The Dems slandered him and ruined his chances. May it come back to bite them royally.

Mr. Cain could succinctly make a point in one sentence. His 999 proposal is 1 example. He should have been President.
