Bohemia, NY – September 25, 2024 – AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, proudly announces the launch of the AMAC Liberty Dental Plan, a comprehensive dental insurance program tailored exclusively for its over two million members.

Responding to member feedback, AMAC, in conjunction with Ameritas, has developed a dental plan focused on the needs of older Americans, excluding services like fluoride treatments or braces and instead offering coverage for essential services that Medicare doesn’t cover, including dentures, crowns, implants, and bridges.

Our members spoke, and we listened,” said Carl Hohsfield, Executive Vice President of AMAC’s Senior Resources Network. “This new dental plan fills a critical gap in coverage for seniors, ensuring they have access to the oral care they truly need.”

The AMAC Liberty Dental Plan offers two levels of coverage—Basic and Elite—both featuring no waiting periods for basic and major services, and a low annual deductible.

Preventive services such as exams, cleanings, and x-rays are fully covered, while essential treatments like fillings, extractions, crowns, and bridges are also included. The Elite plan goes a step further by covering dental implants. Additionally, members can enhance their coverage with affordable vision and hearing plans.

Key Features of the AMAC Liberty Dental Plan:

No waiting period for Basic and Major Services

– Preventive services covered at 100%

– $50 Annual Deductible

– Optional Vision and Hearing Plans

– Coverage for essential services, including implants, crowns, and bridges

This dental program is a significant addition to our health benefits portfolio and underscores our commitment to the overall well-being of America’s seniors,” Hohsfield added.

It would be more helpful to publish the dental plan or enable a link online to it. I do not want to talk to multiple agents and I like to compare various plans at my convenience.

I agree completely with the comment by Phyllis Jost below. I too would like to compare plans at my convenience instead of waiting on the phone and talking to numerous agents or representatives

These companies need to smarten up. A very high percentage of prospective customers will walk away and not give it a second thought if forces to speak with a sales agent to obtain basic information. Goodbye AMAC LDP.

I also would like to be able to see and compare plans without talking to an agent/sales person.

I also agree with Phyllis – let me do my own comparing and contrasting plans at my leisure and without the invariable agent pressure…

It would be more convenient to post a link with the dental plan options. I normally ‘study’ the different plans late in the evening hours and have learned that when I leave my name and number, the bots start calling immediately. I have received calls wanting to give me more information and pricing as early as 1 A.M.

I would like to see a link where I can study and look at the plans and costs without having to speak to a salesman

I am walking away for the same reason expressed in the comments below. I want to compare at my leisure, and I do not want agents to complicate the matter. I am perfectly capable of making a decision without the influence of an agent. I have discovered that many items offered by AMAC provide no information unless you leave your information to be contacted. Very disappointing! I don’t want to be contacted until I have had time to review and compare whatever benefits you are offering. I hope you make changes that are more agreeable to your members.

I also agree with Phyllis. It would also be helpful to see dentists in my area that accept this insurance. My wife and I are interested but not going to talk with an agent untill we know more about the plans.

When will you be implementing Phyllis’ suggestion. Just as another comment noted, i’m now not interested in the plan.

AMCA/LDP – take a hint from virtually ALL the comments made here: don’t make potential customers call to “speak with an agent”, which basically opens the door to a future of annoying & unwanted contacts. Let us see rates on a website. Rates for wanted services/coverage are what they are & can be put in writing for us to view. I am another one whose interest was ended when forced to make that phone call. Not happening.

I see discussion about this dental and vision. Does AMAC sponsor other insurances as well?
