A Fraud Conceived in Corruption Presented as Farce and Resulting in Travesty

The rule of law, one of the key components of the oldest representative democracy in the world, has suffered a grievous (but hopefully temporary) wound in a New York City courtroom.

The rule of law was a legacy the United States inherited from its English origins, and it has been so powerful that it was the central vehicle enabling American society to repair itself and become over time the beacon to the world for freedom, justice, and liberty.

Elsewhere in the world, persistent injustice, prejudice, and corruption have often prevailed. In Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America, various forms of dictatorship and other totalitarian forms of government have appeared, and many of them exist today. A key component of these corrupt regimes and the perpetuation of national injustices has been the imprisonment of their political enemies.

In recent years, Americans have looked on with disdain at various “banana republics” and totalitarian regimes, and on occasion even opposed them with military and economic force.

But with the travesty of a trial in New York City, alas – the U.S. (at least temporarily) joins the ranks of those nations which use the pretense of law to suppress legitimate political opposition by criminalizing illegitimately the opposition leaders.

The administration of Democrat President Joe Biden, the president himself, and many figures at all levels of the Democrat Party have made no secret of their determination to prevent the re-election of former President Donald Trump by any means, excluding a fair election this November.

At first, there was an attempt to keep Mr. Trump from being on the ballot in states where Democrats controlled the government. This was eventually ended by a unanimous 9-0 decision of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Next, Democrat prosecutors brought criminal charges against Mr. Trump in four jurisdictions. Three of those trials have been delayed by appeals and pre-trial motions, and likely will not occur before the election, if ever.

The New York City trial just concluded has been branded as illegitimate by legal scholars of both parties, and even by those in the Republican Party who strongly oppose Mr. Trump politically. Many have regarded the trial itself as a farce, and it is widely expected the “guilty” verdicts will be promptly reversed and dismissed on appeal. Whether the New York state appeals courts will be any fairer than the one in which Mr. Trump was just convicted remains to be seen.

There is also an expectation that the trial and its verdicts will backfire on those who promoted them, propelling Mr. Trump to a clear victory he might not have otherwise won because voters perceived his political and judicial persecution as not only wrong, but also a clear and present threat to the rule of law.

Those who thought criminal convictions, however contrived and fraudulent, would turn voters away from Mr. Trump have perhaps made one of recent history’s great miscalculations.

Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. made their unjust imprisonment a badge of honor, as have so many other leaders unfairly put in jail.

Donald Trump might be less eloquent and polished than a Mandela or a King, but his cause is no less important to the survival of a free and just nation.

Very important article you wrote Herald Boas. It should be appreciated by Americans who value the truth and value liberty. In the spirit of the Declaration of Independence – that is the mindset that is needed these days. I mention the Declaration often when writing comments on AMAC and I believe it has significance whenever fundamental freedoms are in jeopardy. The Bill of Rights of the Constitution should be part of the outlook for intelligent citizens who have an understanding of how the world operates , People who see the way various things need to be kept in balance in order to preserve civilization, and understand how respect for basic rights is vital when thinking about having things in balance. When a society encourages people to develop the qualities that make for good character and live by a code of conduct and have a sense of purpose, then that is what the will of God is all about. The spirit of living life properly , that is the message of the Declaration of Independence.

The irony of the justice system protecting the Biden bribery factory while searching for any crime to pin on Trump seems third world but we must realize it isn’t the system it’s what happens when the vacancy of presidential cognitive decline allows interns and staffers to run the country. This is just a shadow of what is to come, when those without ethics and morals of the rising generation come to power.

Couldn’t agree more. Blindsided Trump haters are not seeing the consequences of corruption being accepted into the legal system as policy. Constitutional law is not being upheld and socialism is being inserted as the rule of law.

Very simply put, the conviction was based on a business paperwork issue. This “crime” is a misdemeanor, and the statute of limitations had long expired before these charges were filed.
The Trump organization classified the repayment to their attorney, for the fee Michael Cohen paid to Stormy Daniels as a Legal Expense (Cohen in his own testimony stated that he created the Non-Disclosure Agreement and paid Ms. Daniels on his own accord without the knowledge of former President Trump, prior to the 2016 Presidential Election!). The repayment for the Legal Expenses was made in 2017 long after the election was over. So how could President Trump’s crime be elevated to a Felony, for election interference, when the payment that the Trump organization made was well AFTER the election in 2017.
Also, the business ledger entry made to classify this as a Legal Expense was not made by President Trump, it was an accountant within the organization. The legalize, used to make this a conviction of 34 felony charges, is convoluted at best and the law has never been used in this manner, ever before and is clearly seen by many as a political attack against the leading Republican Candidate for President. This is Election Interference! If allowed this type of prosecution can be used against anyone that a DA wants to punish, think about that…

Trump will become much more than a former president and current presidential candidate after this. Beware- even leaving places like New York will not save you now. There have been people who posted ” misinformation” on the internet( otherwise known in a previous time as free speech) and have been brought to New York, tried and convicted. Even being in another state – even a red state – will not protect you anymore. We have to take back the government and this time- dismiss anyone who has worked for a democrat in the past. We can only vote to change the congress, but if we by God’s grace, regain control- all the appointees made by democrats have to be fired, and many don’t need replacing. Cleaning house and refilling or with unneeded clutter is not the answer either. Let the light shine in the open spaces so only elected officials are making decisions. An aside- we have to go after Fauci for what he did to our country. Unelected and highly paid, he caused irreparable harm.

Gross obfuscation is evident as legal wrangling has occurred under the ‘watch’ of one Joe Biden, one so cognitively impaired as to be unable to follow basic prompter speeches. Joe is a troublesome puppet, as his puppeteers have experienced over and over again. The real decision making, engineering of events, legal thrust and jabs, and highly vindictive weaponization of the DOJ occur while Joe dreams of ice cream at the beach. I hope the appeals court has a shred of common decency left regarding Trump’s appeal– if not, the people will decide in November. I have never seen this level of lawfare before.

From the beginning of this fiasco I saw that it was all a political ploy to get rid of Mr Trump. Like Him or not but when Mr Trump was President he did a lot of good for this country. I believe it was because of Mr Trump being a businessman. And a darn good one at that. I wonder how many of the Demokrats involved with this mess have done the same thing they said that Mr Trump did. Mr Trump will be acquitted and he will be the next president.

For the Democrats, the ends justify the means. That is truly unfortunate for America.

What has been happening against Trump is, in my opinion, a violation of his, and our, constitutional rights. I hope the Supreme Court takes this into consideration.

Very good article, with lots to mull.Hopefully, some can remove their blindfolds for-so they have a clear view. So they can use any information, even if it’s not an opinion or information agreed as valid. Just because it’s not considered valid doesn’t mean it isn’t or is.Opinions and debate are very useful.

You have to understand the YEARS OF CORRUPTION in New York State. Starts in Albany and trickles to the bigger cities of the state. It’s always been a Pay to Play state. It’s been proven time and again, yet NOTHING is ever done about it.

Good article, I sure wish I could share some of the stories posted. My family are all Democrats/liberals. They watch only certain TV stations, and are completely brainwashed. I don’t even try anymore, it always seems to end up with my older sister giving me the silent treatment or a sad look like she feels sorry for me. And that pisses me off.

Fact is that when we see KKKJoe Biden’s chronically pleasing/jerking those he actually despises as a covert racist and associate member of the Ku Klux Klan for years was actually his plan to deceive everyone from the jump.

Trump had been playing with fire for too long and it was only a matter of time before he got convicted of something. It is a shame that the republicans didn’t nominate one of the many better candidates. I’m a pro choice republican who will not be voting for Biden or Trump.
