My parents, both in the Navy and WWII veterans, meet in Norfolk, VA during the war. My mother worked in a Navy store and sold my father a jacket. The sleeves were too short so he took the jacket back and asked her out. Three weeks later they got married on May 14. Daddy returned to his duty station, San Diego, and mother stayed in Norfolk. For the first year of their marriage, they talked on the phone on the 14th of every month. Now they are together forever — May they rest in peace.

3:04 pretty easy. One day dad and 3 shipmates went up the mountain (Rainer). Later all four went up another mountain (WW2), only one returned. One is still at Bataan, another at Coral Sea, and the third at Iron Bottom Sound are on duty to this day. Only dad returned. Uncle Sam and the USN was very good to my family.
2:29 Have a great day!
