Sandra D 4 years ago I loved this week’s puzzles most of all. My husband and I were born a week apart in 1947; he was born in Los Angeles and I was born in Chicago. We feel that Route 66 is our way. When we were transferred for work to IL for four years he had a chance to see where I grew up. Illinois has a personalized Route 66 license plate and for those four years we splurged on the extra cost to have one. Now it is a souvenir of that special time we had there. My parents took us on two train trips from Los Angeles to Chicago and back before we hit our teens. The trip pretty much ran parallel with Route 66 most of the way.
