Chlorophyll is not an element. Nitrogen is needed by plants to make chlorophyll.

9/10 and no guesses EXCEPT for the Japanese term for cherry blossom. How the heck wouold an average everyday American know what other societies call cherry blosssoms, and why would they care? I made a pure guess and of course I got it wrong.

Chlorophyll is not an “element”. Nitrogen and Oxygen both are. Ergo, the correct answer for that question, as it was asked, is Nitrogen.
