God gave them command of all 3 physical dimensions, in addition to beauty, diversity, gracefulness in flight. What other creature has 2 legs and can stand on one leg, on a power line loaded with 4160 volts of alternating current, and scratch an ear with the other leg. I love birds, especially chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and almost all the edible ones. They are delicious. Until the delightful Wilbur and brother Oliver, mankind only had command of 2 dimensions.
