What does France have to do with the quiz on the Gettysburg address? That’s not American history, even if they adopted it from a great American speech.

8 right, should have done better.
I wonder, are today’s students taught the American Civil War? Heard some new history books only have a few paragraphs about Lincoln and not too much on Founding Fathers. Sorry state of how the country is heading.?

11/12, I only missed the month it was given. I guessed July, the month the battle was fought. The speech was given a few months later in November. I’m a retired 5th-grade teacher. We did a unit on the Civil War every year in 5th grade. My students memorized the Gettysburg Address to recite for their parents at the end of the year ceremony. I miss those times now, but hundreds of students have gone on to high school, college, and successful careers and I am so very proud of them. A few of them keep in touch on Facebook.

Not too bad, 8/12. I have certainly done a lot worse before. So, I’m OK.

9 out of 12 still felt good knowing that much, after almost a half of a century since being in school

11/12 Missed only the month, had Sept. Guess I haven’t lost it all. Don’t do these all the time, but enjoy when I do.

In response to a couple of reply’s, all I have to say is that we need to find the way to take education away from the progressives, or whatever they call themselves today

Got 10 out of 12 correct. Missed questions 6 and 10. I didn’t know when the Gettysburg Address was delivered. I knew the year, but not the month. So November would have been a bit chilly.

11 right. Maybe I cheat because I read an article about the topics that are quizzed before I take it. I am always surprised about how much I relearn and remember. I also learn much more than what is on the quiz.

9 of 12. Only 2-3 minutes to deliver a 271 word speech? Speed reading. I guessed April for the month it was given. I also guessed that the war was over, but I was thinking abut the Emancipation Proclamation.
