When I googled this I found other posts that stated that Michigan was largest, followed by Florida, however they are including water area (which in Michigan’s case is almost half of the state area. I missed the question as to whether GA was the largest state east of the Mississippi. I forgot to think of Michigan with its upper peninsula! I didn’t realize that FL and WI were larger than GA. Actually FL and WI are close in size 65,758 square miles (FL) vs 65,503 square miles for WI. Learn new things everyday to fill my mind with more trivia.
