He met is first and only daughter, and he and mom spent their second night together, in 1943 (The plane he was on had one other passenger, some guy named FDR. Some Lt. played a joke on dad, and FDR held a plane in Washington for the rest of his trip to Boston.) Dad said he was quite busy there for a while. He was, “Just doing my job.” Sam 2 days ago 10/10.
