Do we need to have an HMO or PPO health plan if we have Medicare? Can we only have Medicare coverage?
My mother’s HMO is going out of business and I need to get her into another HMO helthcare plan. Can I talk to an agent even if she is not an AMAC member?
What companies are you licensed with in the state of TN? What is the total annual out of pocket expense in each? What are the deductibles, not with Medicare but with the plans you are licensed with? How do I find out what the cost for my specific medications are with the plans you are promoting? I need a Prolia Shot twice yearly, what is my cost with your plans?
How is Kaiser Permanente Advantage Plan rated?
There was no information. Only about three seconds.
Thanks for the information. I will stick with the Medicare supplements plan. Question: Supplement plan changes are subjected to underwriting by an insurance company as to whether they will offer them insurance, are Advantage plans open enrollment with qualifying based on pre-existing conditions?
I thought the podcast was very informative and did not push any of plan. They were very upfront about the Advantage Plan and how different it is from a supplemental plan. I would never get an Advantage Plan because I want my own doctor. I want to be covered wherever I go and not told I have to stay in-network. Some people prefer to give that option up to get the extremely low cost of an Advantage Plan, and that’s their prerogative. Good information, AMAC.
It offends me that Amac (who I thought could be trusted) is PUSHING the Medicare Advantage Plans. Everyone I have spoken to have said the Medicare Advantage Plans are not the best. Look at the supplements offered. Medicare is EXPENSIVE and the coverage SUCKS anyway you slice it. Medicare Advantage Plans are just another way the feds have sold out elders. I have delayed retirement just because of the cost of Medicare. This country ought to be ASHAMED of itself for how it treats its elders when it comes to health care.
Medicare Advantage is NOT a government policy. As a nurse I have seen them refuse to let a patient stay in the hospital to complete their care. I also had a lady die because they wouldn’t allow the proper level of care and time required to help her pneumonia. Then after the patient is released from the hospital their copay is outrageous
My impression is that Medicare Advantage is run by the government in a way that I wouldn’t like. Am I wrong?
Excellent!! He explained this confusing issue in a way I could understand! I appreciate AMAC for this video.
I definitely will be calling. I find the “Medicare Book” so confusing so just keep the plan I have. I am very healthy so that has not been a problem but as I get older, I know things might start falling apart! Nice to know there are folks I can talk to that have my best interest at their fingertips. Again, AMAC is amazing!!! Thank you!
I am going to be 63 shortly. I am planning to retire very soon. Is there anything like health insurance that I can get that will not be too expensive for the period between 63 and 65?
I know that it is not available in our area
