Dear Senator Mullin,
On behalf of the over two million members of AMAC – Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 33,700 residing in Oklahoma, I write to offer our support for S. 23, the “Promoting Cross-border Energy Infrastructure Act”.
As an organization comprised of many Americans concerned with our nation’s energy independence, AMAC was pleased to see your bill address the continued availability of our most important natural resources and energy sourced from the North American continent. Your bill will ultimately facilitate United States energy independence by potentially supporting projects like the Keystone XL pipeline. The proposed “certificate of crossing” approval process removes Executive Office obstructions to North American energy cooperation by placing it in a positive approval or “shall issue” category in which permission to construct, connect, operate, and maintain an energy related facility across international borders is only denied by an overriding public interest to the contrary.
The benefit to the American people will manifest as reduced energy costs, a welcome reprieve in the face of crushing inflation. In addition, reducing our dependence on far off and foreign energy exporters reduces our exposure to energy supply chain manipulation and/or cancellation if our national interests conflict with those of our intercontinental suppliers.

To Bob Carlstrom, very good letter you sent to Senator Mullin and very good that Senator Mullin introduced the legislation pertaining to energy Independence for the United States. It is sensible to do what is obviously
the right choice in a matter like the energy issue. Why anyone in any position of influence would turn something such as energy source availability upside down, inside out and go backwards instead of forward is interesting, but it is more of a matter that should raise suspicion about the intention involved. However, that is a mark of the Left since at least 2020, I would just like to add that I do not believe in complaining about things, especially of a political nature, it is far better to make an observation of a situation, identify what needs to be improved, and fix what needs to be fixed. Making suggestions and proposing ideas that will be of a positive nature and lead to solutions that make good sense is important.
