AMAC Supports Resolution to Protect the Unborn

This resolution clearly recognizes that an unborn child is a person, separate from anyone else, to whom the right to life granted by God applies.

Dear Representative Lamborn,

On behalf of the 2.1 million members of AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 11,200 in CO-05, I am pleased to offer our support for H.Res. 464.

The Left attempts to justify the murder of unborn babies by labelling them a “fetus” instead of truthfully acknowledging them as a person, or claiming that they are not actually alive, and therefore cannot be murdered. All this despite that in more than one location of our nation, someone can be charged with a fetal homicide if they kill an unborn baby during the commission of another crime, indeed even the imposition of the death penalty on a pregnant woman is stayed in favor of the unborn child she carries.

This resolution clearly recognizes that an unborn child is a person, separate from anyone else, to whom the right to life granted by God applies. The text demonstrates that this right to life is written into, or clearly intended by the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, the laws of several States, and the intentions of the founders, and the authors of the 14th Amendment.

Your resolution recognizes the point at which life begins as the moment of fertilization, and in that moment, a person begins to exist. It grants pellucid direction that describes an unborn baby as a person, in their own right, who deserves to have their life protected as equally as any other person under the law. It is important to note that the right to life is a central part of the culture of the United States of America and it shouldn’t have to be stated at all, but the times we live in demand it, and this bill states it in an irrefutable manner.

AMAC thanks you, Representative Lamborn, for your leadership in protecting our children, and by that, the future of our great nation by advancing H.Res. 464.
