Dear Congresswoman Wagner,

On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of AMAC – the Association of Mature American Citizens,
and our more than 2 million members, I write to express our wholehearted support for the Born-Alive
Abortion Survivors Protection Act (H.R. 21). This legislation stands as a critical safeguard for newborns,
ensuring that all infants who survive abortion procedures are treated with the care and dignity every
human life deserves.

As states have increasingly pursued policies that remove even basic limitations on late-term abortions, it
has become clear that stronger federal protections are necessary. H.R. 21 addresses the troubling reality
that infants who survive abortion attempts may not always receive appropriate medical care. By
requiring that these vulnerable newborns are given the same level of medical attention as any other
child of the same age, this bill provides a much-needed standard of fairness and compassion.

Our members, many of whom have devoted their lives to raising and nurturing the next generation,
believe in protecting the inherent value of life at every stage. This legislation ensures that newborns,
regardless of the circumstances of their birth, are recognized as individuals with rights and deserving of
medical care. It also establishes consequences for those who fail to uphold this fundamental
responsibility, reinforcing the principle that life must be respected.

As a nation, our character is defined by how we treat the most vulnerable among us. The Born-Alive
Abortion Survivors Protection Act represents a moral and legal affirmation that every life has worth. For
seniors who have spent decades cherishing family and community, this issue resonates deeply. The
protection of these infants aligns with the values of compassion, justice, and equality that our members
hold dear.
