The Honorable Thomas Massie
4th Congressional District of Kentucky
2371 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Congressman Massie,
On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of AMAC – the Association of Mature American Citizens,
and our more than 2 million members, we commend you for introducing HR 645, the National
Constitutional Carry Act. Our members are deeply committed to preserving the freedoms enshrined in
the Constitution, and we strongly support this critical legislation to ensure that law-abiding Americans—
especially seniors—are not unjustly stripped of their Second Amendment rights when they travel or
reside in restrictive states.
For too long, Americans have faced a patchwork of burdensome, unconstitutional gun control laws that
infringe on their right to self-defense. HR 645 addresses this injustice by ensuring that citizens can
exercise their right to carry firearms in public spaces without facing excessive government interference.
At a time when crime is surging in cities that have embraced failed gun-control policies, seniors—who
are often targeted by criminals—should have every means available to defend themselves, no matter
where they are in the United States.
The 29 states that have adopted constitutional carry laws have proven that empowering law-abiding
citizens does not lead to chaos—it leads to safer communities. Meanwhile, states with the most
restrictive gun laws continue to experience rampant crime and lawlessness. Congress must act to ensure
all Americans, regardless of their home state, can enjoy their full constitutional rights.
AMAC Action thanks you for your leadership in defending the rights and freedoms of all Americans.
Sincerely,
Andrew J. Mangione Jr.
Senior Vice President
