This legislation ensures that those who served in female cultural support teams receive proper credit for such service.

The Honorable Jacky Rosen
Senator from Nevada
713 Hart Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator Rosen,
On behalf of the over 2.1 million members of AMAC – Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 24,400 members residing in Nevada along with members of the Military-Veterans Advocacy (MVA) we write to offer our support for S. 2014, the “Jax Act.”
It is truly unconscionable that American men and women Veterans, who served in the same conditions, in the same place, receive different and unequal benefits based on their God given gender. But this is the case for over 300 women American Veterans who bravely fought in the service of our nation with Cultural Support Teams (CSTs) assigned to Special Operations Forces for a period from 2010 to 2021, during our Global War on Terror. These women have earned the right to the same benefits and entitlements as their male counterparts, and it is well past the time to make sure they receive them.
The Jax Act, a critical step in the right direction, is a bill “to ensure that certain members of the Armed Forces who served in female cultural support teams receive proper credit for such service.” This important legislation addresses the correction of military records, retirement pay, Veterans benefits claims, eligibility, and processing of claims. Additionally, it defines an outreach program to make sure everyone eligible is given the knowledge and opportunity to receive care.
AMAC thanks you, Senator Rosen, and your bipartisan co-sponsors for your efforts to ensure equal care for equal service for our women American Veterans. AMAC and MVA is pleased to offer our organizations’ full support for S. 2014 the “Jax Act”.
Sincerely,
Bob Carlstrom
President
