EDI

This legislation helps to stem the tide of institutionalizing Critical Race Theory (CRT), “woke” ideology, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in business and banking, and the proliferation of “affirmative” action with respect to Treasury Department activities that should truly be focused on maintaining a strong economy and creating employment opportunities for all of us.

The Honorable Andy Ogles
5th Congressional District of Tennessee
151 Cannon House Office Building
Washington, DC  20515

Dear Representative Ogles,

On behalf of the 2.1 million members of AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens, including over 6,200 in TN-05, I am pleased to offer our support for H.R. 2776, the “Go Woke, Go Broke Act.”

In response to Executive Order 13985, signed by Joe Biden on January 20, 2023, and on the heels of an unconstitutional agreement with Canada and Mexico known as the “Declaration of North America”, the Treasury Department, whose mission is to “maintain a strong economy and create economic and job opportunities…” created the Treasury Advisory Committee on Racial Equity (TACRE) to “identify, monitor, and review aspects of the domestic economy that have directly and indirectly resulted in unfavorable conditions for Black, Latino, and Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color”. While the entirety of the described mission is no doubt a good and positive thing, to focus on any given race of Americans over any other for the purpose of granting them an advantage over others, violates the spirit of “equal protection under the law”.

As recognized in our Declaration of Independence, “all men are created equal.” All… not just some of them, and all persons, regardless of “race, color, religion, sex, or national origin” (to borrow from Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964) are due equal protection and equal opportunity in our society.

Many people profit from making an issue of race. Let us stop making race an issue, let us value each other as the children of God that we are, equal in His eyes, and let us pass legislation like H.R. 2776, the “Go Woke, Go Broke Act” that contribute to erasing inequality among the citizens of the United States.

Your bill helps to stem the tide of institutionalizing Critical Race Theory (CRT), “woke” ideology, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in business and banking, and the proliferation of “affirmative” action with respect to Treasury Department activities that should truly be focused on maintaining a strong economy and creating employment opportunities for all of us.

AMAC thanks you, Representative Ogles, for your efforts to promote equality among Americans. AMAC is pleased to offer our organization’s full support for H.R. 2776, the “Go Woke, Go Broke Act.”

Sincerely,

Bob Carlstrom
President

Erickson Living, one of the largest retirement organizations with campuses all over the US is promoting the DEI much to the dissatisfaction of the conservative residents on these campuses. They are supposed to be a 501C3 org and not have political bias, but that’s not true of them
