Nearly 3,000 illegal immigrants were arrested in Tennessee for crimes ranging from murder to rape during the last three months of 2024, according to a report compiled by the state’s district attorneys.
The report released last week by the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference found that around 2,719 illegal immigrants from over 92 different countries were arrested from October to December 2024. Sent to GOP Governor Bill Lee and House Speaker Cameron Sexton, the report sheds light on how the border crisis has led to increased crime in the Volunteer State.
Compiled as a result of a new state law requiring law enforcement to report on the arrests of illegal immigrants, the report found that 447 of the estimated total 3,854 charges were violent offenses. The data only included 73 counties since the other 22 did not submit their statistics.
There were a total of 11 homicides reported across the state, including three cases of first degree murder, one case of second degree murder, and seven instances of vehicular homicide.
Other violent offenses reported include rape of a child (3), aggravated rape (6), continuous sexual abuse of a child (2), aggravated kidnapping (3), especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor (1), statutory rape (9), aggravated sexual battery (6), aggravated robbery (6), aggravated domestic assault (27), sexual exploitation of a minor (8), robbery (2), and assault on a law enforcement officer (4).
The most common offenses illegal immigrants were arrested on were driving under the influence (654), driving without a license 549, traffic violations (533), domestic assault (154), public intoxication (147), failure to appear (150), probation violation (91), open container (83), and aggravated assault (80).
Results of the charges were reported as a mixed bag with 136 cases still open, 37 dropped by prosecutors, 85 cases dismissed, 128 found guilty, and 198 with no record indicating the outcome.
Most of the arrests were made in the cities of Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga, and the counties surrounding those cities. Surprisingly, Shelby County, home to Memphis, reported just 59 arrests of illegal immigrants.
The greatest number of illegal immigrants came from Mexico (892), though a significant number came from Guatemala (564), Honduras (332), Venezuela (130), and El Salvador (86).
Over the past few years, illegal immigrants have been arrested in Tennessee for a number of high-profile crimes, including the murder of popular Nashville restaurant owner Matt Carney. Carney died from injuries after police say an illegal immigrant struck him with his truck in the parking lot of his restaurant. Carney’s death drew the attention of then-candidate Donald Trump, who has warned of an illegal immigrant crime wave stemming from lax border policies implemented by the Biden administration.
Last week, Tennessee passed sweeping legislation during a special session intended to help carry out Trump’s mass deportation plans.

I hope anyone who interferes with ICE arresting these animals does end up in prison. Today on the Will Cain Show, I learned that ICE had scheduled to arrest 3,000 criminal illegals in Aurora, CO (TDA) gang members but was only able to arrest 30. Someone had “leaked” the information. That person must be located and thrown in jail immediately! The Fox journalist said it was a leak from DC. Sickening!
If there was justice in this country, many dem politicians would be in jail right now wo bail or a trial date. We’re so numb its hard to be outraged anymore but the last four yrs featured treason on a breathtaking scale.
I’m guessing that one of the counties that did not submit their crime data is Shelby County in west TN-home of Memphis TN. Run exclusively by Democrats for decades. With an overall violent crime rate that is probably one of the highest in the country.
What is wrong with Democrats wanting to protect illegal Aliens over American citizens…and give US taxpayer away through USAID to evil causes abroad. What Fed agency is not corrupt?? Trump is shutting down Democrat slush fund money in many Fed agencies.

Just think, there could be 2,700 LESS illegals in Tennessee this month IF they had contacted ICE and gotten them deported. Betting they didn’t.
It is really hard to understand why the republican Congress was unable to even slow the illegal immigrant invasion over the last 2 years. Even more puzzling is why they have continued to fund agencies like the mess Elon found at USAID?
The problems at USAID have been a very poorly kept secret for many years. Doesn’t Congress care? Why would they continue to fund trash like what we have seen, knowing that our grandchildren will be paying interest on this debt, likely for their entire lives? This spending is Criminal, we desperately need a balanced budget amendment!
I live in Illinois where the alien criminals are close to dimm wit pritzgers GOD.This state treats illegals and government unions better than people that have to work for a living.We need to secede from northeast Illinois,as in chitcago.
This is happening because our politicians allowed it and encouraged it to happen. The previous administration walked away without a hair bent on it’s head. Tennessee’s a beautiful state. Hope they prevail over all who shouldn’t be there. Any illegal arrested should never be released. Deport them immediately. You would think if they were illegal that they would want to follow the laws and be found. But no, these people know they can rape, murder, rob and ignore US laws.

We need to start backing our men in blue. The police should have the right to self defense when attacked by anyone & not just these immigrants. Summary, you will not get beat up if you follow the directions given to you by any police officer.
So, can I assume that every illegal that has been arrested for a second crime (first crime was illegal entry) has been arrested, sent to Guantanamo, or returned to their country of origin?! As far as I’m concerned, they can put them all on unserviceable planes with half tanks of fuel and send them back in the direction that they came from. One of the reasons illegal alien crimes are lower in Red states when they commit crimes there, is because they are kept on hold and are released for deportation. In a Blue state there are no consequences.
I live in California and it’s surprising how little you hear about the illegal problems in this state. I live with a communist governor and senate that I have voted against for the last forty years. This sh** hole state hasn’t had a decent governor since Regan and has been on the fast track into a dug heap since. I truly hope President Trump withholds all federal funding to this state dealing with any state government matching funds. Help those that truly need it from the fires but let the rest of this illegal migrant state sink into the hole it truly deserves.
What is rest of story, what happened to & where are these 3000 people today? Are they all in Tennessee or where & did that state ever ask ICE for help in 2024 with these people? I hope the answer is that all of the violent offenders are still in jail !!!!
