Three Things You Need To Know About the “For The People Act”

For the People ActLast week, a bill to fundamentally change America’s election system narrowly passed the Democratic-controlled House by a 220-210 vote. Sponsors call H. R. 1 the “For the People Act,” but critics note that the legislation would take power away from people to run elections in their own states.

The sweeping impact of H.R. 1 is not in dispute. Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) calls the measure “transformational,” adding “this bill contains many priorities that the Progressive Caucus has long advocated for.”

Former Vice President Mike Pence agrees. “The bill would force states to adopt universal mail-in ballots, early voting, same-day voter registration, online voter registration, and automatic voter registration for any individual listed in state and federal government databases… ensuring duplicate registrations and that millions of illegal immigrants are quickly registered to vote,” he said in a statement.

And a group of twenty state attorneys general, all Republicans, wrote a letter to Congress outlining why they believe the law is unconstitutional, violating the states’ exclusive right to run their own elections.

While the bill addresses nearly every aspect of voting — and even reaches out to impose restrictions on the U.S. Supreme Court — there are three aspects of the legislation critics say deserve the most attention.

Click Here To Tell Your Senators to Stop the For the People Act

An End to Voter ID Laws

Polls show Americans support requiring some form of ID in order to vote, which explains why 36 states have voter ID mandates on the books. As the attorneys general pointed out in their letter,  H.R. 1 “would dismantle meaningful voter ID laws by allowing a statement, as a substitute for prior-issued, document-backed identification, to ‘attest to the individual’s identity.’”

In other words, simply signing a document stating your identity would be enough to override your state’s voter ID laws.

“This does little to ensure that voters are who they say they are,” the attorneys general note. “Worse, it vitiates the capacity of voter ID requirements to protect against improper interference with voting rights.”

Taxpayer-Funded Campaign Ads

Republicans call H.R. 1 a partisan bill designed to let politicians take money from taxpayers to fund their own campaigns. It creates a program that matches low-dollar donations up to $200 at a 600 percent rate, turning it into $1,400. Those public dollars can in turn be used to buy campaign ads and Facebook posts, as well as pay for the other costs of campaigning. And because incumbents tend to raise more money from more contributors, these federal dollars would disproportionately flow to federal officeholders like your current member of Congress.

According to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), that adds up to about $7.2 million in public dollars to members of Congress. “It’s absolutely disgusting that while Americans are trying to survive a pandemic, House Democrats are working to funnel public money to their own reelection campaigns,” NRCC spokeswoman Torunn Sinclair said in a statement.

Ending “Election Day”

Many Americans like the tradition of an Election Day when their friends and neighbors turn out to head to the polls. The election system has always had a process to allow some sort of remote voting — for soldiers serving abroad or those too infirm to come to the local high school or town hall and cast their ballot in person. And some states, like Oregon and Colorado, have moved entirely to mail-in ballots.

H.R. 1 ends that tradition by forcing every state to adopt early voting — a minimum of 15 days of “Election Day.” Every state must allow everyone to vote by mail and, as National Review magazine reports, “States are banned from the most elementary security methods for mail-in ballots: They must provide a ballot to everyone without asking for identification and may not require notarization or a witness to signatures.”

And if those ballots don’t make it in by Election Day — no worries. Ballots that arrive up to 10 days after the election is over must be counted. Add in the early voting and Election Day literally becomes Election Month.

Click Here To Tell Your Senators to Stop the For the People Act

At a time when the United States needs to restore faith in its election system, critics believe the “For the People Act” needlessly muddies the waters. Republicans and Democrats agree elections need more transparency, but the result of last week’s vote in the House makes it clear this is not a bipartisan approach to election reform.

Please call a spade, a spade. There would be millions of INVADERS that would be registered to vote. It seems that the liberal left has redefined the word “invader” has now become “illegal immigrant”. Invited by Biden, or not, they are INVADERS, pure and simple.

That the Democrats would even consider this outrageously unconstitutional bill is indicative of how they have now dropped even the veneer of having any concern for our Constitution. As was pointed out many times before and after the fraudulent election in November, the Constitution states very clearly that it is the state legislatures, and ONLY the state legislatures, which determine voting rules and regulations within each of the respective states. And it was the clear violations of that Constitutional mandate by several states leading up to the November election that Rudy Giuliani was challenging in Court (and which was ultimately ridiculously dismissed by every court, including SCOTUS).

Now that they have gotten away scot free with stealing a Presidential election, with no repercussions whatever, they are setting their sights on rigging the system so that they will never again “lose” any election at the national level.

No one would lobby for a bill to cut their own throats but would do so willingly because most people wont put in the time dont do the work necessary to find the real and accurate information and those same people are the first to howl about the results. That is the reason the clown sitting in the oval office is there instead of the real president Donald j. Trump. Who was right, did more for this country and was constantly stabbed in the back by traitors, rino’s and leftists. Stolen is plain sight and betrayed by the establishment. Betraying us all as well. HR1 would cement their illegititimasy forever.

I’m totally sick of Rep.s stiiting back and letting the dimrats flush our country! Twiddling their thumbs instead of fighting for all they’re worth (which seems very little for many of them) infuriates me. WTH is going on for them to let the commies do whatever they want with no resistance at all? And when is the SC going to step in and stop a lot of the madness? I’m disgusted and worried.

The democrats – rotten communist, power hungry, insane zealots are stealing our country using our very corrupt legal system and failure of that legal system to chastise and jail these unAmerican trash. We fought the British and won a few other wars to protect our freedoms and liberty. Now, we sit here sucking our thumbs watching these very evil people destroy The United States. Conservatives need a “focal point”, like the communists (democrats) have, to direct our efforts in saving our Constitutional REpublic.

A totally reprehensible bill. More importantly, most of the provisions are completely unconstitutional. This bill is attempting to silence conservative voices by stealing their legitimate vote. That, as far as I’m concerned, is tantamount to TREASON.
18 U.S. Code § 2381 – Treason–Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them… We the People will be having war levied on us, through total disregard for the document that A) Assures one registered citizen=one vote. They will be negating our legitimate vote with completely unverified votes (We saw that in November). B) Will usurp the STATES’ right (per the Constitution) of their legislatures (Not supreme courts and others) to create their own, individual, voting laws. This can not be allowed to be signed into law. If it is, the very cornerstone of this country will have been demolished; and THAT IS waging war on the United States of America.

I am constantly amazed at the ease with which Democrats exert their efforts to open our elections to the world while describing Republican proposals to restrict voting to those who are legally entitled as interfering with voting rights. We are now in the position that we earned and have to learn ways to turn our government away from it’s present path to Socialism if not Communism.

Remember, communists like to use terms like “the people” like “the peoples republic of (pick one) n korea, china, etc or “the peoples army”. In fact, they believe in anything but the people and anyone that doesn’t see that is blind!!! For the People MY ASS!!! But then the republicans in the senate just allowed merrick garland to be approve so don’t count on them to actually put up any resistance.

Don’t matter. Once the Democrats were allowed to get away with stealing the last election by using fraudulent Mail In Ballots, they opened the door to maintaining control of every political office they want. Don’t have the “Real” votes to win? No problem! Just get somebody in your camp to sit down with a marker and a copy machine, and you can make all the fraudulent votes you need! We just saw this happen, and because the GOP, RINOs and “Never Trump” Republicans didn’t like Trump, we will now live in progressively more repressed society, where homosexual perversions will become the norm, and you will be prosecuted if you don’t like it…

Welcome to the People’s Republic of America. Was there any doubt that after stealing the election the socialists wouldn’t work to game the system so they won’t ever lose again? The Republican Party has done NOTHING to preserve our freedoms. They can’t even agree with each other. The Democrats are the party of slavery, and they haven’t changed since the Civil War. So many people have been brainwashed by the socialists that they don’t know anything about this country and what it stands for. Welcome to North Venezuela.

Someone must figure out how to stop this purge of America. All the things we have tried to instill all around the word with elections freedom of speech and representation of the people instead of a type of dictatorship is happening right here. Americans just do not realize what is going on with the news media not reporting the truth of the facts. As I have said before all the groups have to work together this is for the freedom of American talk about it does not work we need action of some kind.

I guess I’m glad that as a 79 year old gentleman, I won’t have to suffer thru the potential grinding and slow change from Constitutional Democracy into Communism. for our great Nation. This is an obvious step in the direction of Communist takeover by the hierarchy of the Democrat Party. It means more fighting and terrorism for future citizens that finally wake up to what has been done to them. Alas, our founding Fathers were prophetic in wondering how long we could keep a Constitutional democracy … and it appears that the time is nigh. This heretofore great Nation is about to slide in to Communistic domination and possibly servitude to other foreign Nations. I’m sad for the prospects of my grandchildren and their offspring … they will never live in a Constitution governmental environment and likely will be at least partially subjugated to foreign governances, such as China and Russia. I’m sad that so many Americans don’t realize the track this Nation is on???

The Democrats are prone to passing laws that are plainly unconstitutional, relying on the courts to determine that the laws are unconstitutional. Every office holder takes the Oath of Office, swearing to protect and uphold the Constitution, and violation of that oath is a crime, punishable by law. Every Congressman or Senator who votes for an unconstitutional law violates the Oath of Office. The twenty attorneys general who wrote to Congress outlining the reasons they feel the bill is unconstitutional should also file charges of violation of Oath of Office against all who voted for the bill. Why is it that hardly anything is ever done to prosecute politicians who break the law, especially the Clinton’s, Obama???

As a former County Clerk, the proposed legislation flies in the face of the laws we currently have here in MO-photo ID, signature verification on applications for absentee ballot requests (against what is in the Voter Registration system—yes, we do our best to keep our rolls updated, deleting deceased, annotating moves, etc), no early voting, ballots must be notarized and returned before Election Day, by Statute.

Hence,
No common sense.

Loyal to party,
Their approval hearty.

The naive,
Still believe!!!

Voting insecure,
WIDE OPEN the door

What we fear,
May soon be here.

If this is ratified,
Real voting rights denied.

Two party system done?
There may soon be only one.

In effect – one party’s control,
“This election they stole!”

America, has died,
If this is ratified.

More and more bizarre,
”Welcome the Czar!”

We must avidly destroy,
This anti-Biblical ploy!

From the Socialist lies,
We must be rebaptized.

Or atheism immersed,
And blessings reversed.

Blinded through the prism,
Of Social Darwinism!

From order and peace.

Ruled then with an iron and sickle!

The so-called “For The People Act” is in reality an “Against The People Act” being perpetrated by the Demsheviks against the American people. A more apt and truthful name for this act would be “The Demshevik Incumbency Preservation, Perpetuation and Expansion Act.” As an alternative, it could also be named the “Direct and Expedited Path To Tyranny Act.”

I’m sure the Demsheviks and their lamestream media toadies will be working overtime to sugar coat this monstrosity with a broad litany of euphemisms and double-speak language in order to serve it up to the American people as if it is truly just sweet ambrosia.

Let’s hope that when this travesty gets to the Supreme Court, that SCOTUS has the cojones to declare it unconstitutional. If SCOTUS fails this, then it is goodbye America as we know it.
