C.J. (Cathy) Miles’ healthcare and research background, combined with her passion for helping people, became a natural fit for AMAC’s vision. Her desire to learn and knack for numbers made researching with accuracy and completeness her niche at a very early age. She began with helping mystery writers with plot research, moved on to assisting masters and doctoral students, and now researches and writes for AMAC, Inc. and AMAC Foundation.

C.J. grew up on Long Island near AMAC’s headquarters, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University. She then moved back to her original hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana where her thirst for knowledge led her to graduate Summa Cum Laude when receiving two Master’s Degrees – an MBA in Healthcare Management and an MS in Accounting.

After working as an insurance contract coordinator for a major HMO, as well as billing and other healthcare administrative positions, she moved to Florida where she connected with AMAC’s team as a part-time consultant on Social Security and Medicare. Only a few months later she became the Research Analyst and has enjoyed using her research skills to help educate members.
