Florida’s Parental Rights bill has been dragged through the mud by the left-wing media in the past weeks. Building off the false narrative, claiming that it will be oppressive for the LGBTQ community is an outright lie. If anyone from the media took a moment to read the bill, they would realize this is just more fake news. The Parental Rights bill was voted into law to ban classroom lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity for kids aged 5 to 8. Parents don’t want their children learning about sexuality before they learn about conjugating verbs, and that’s not unreasonable.
Perhaps New York City Mayor Eric Adams did not have adequate time to read the bill as he demonstrates through his ill-conceived new marketing strategy designed to bring tax dollars back to the struggling city. His latest idea – claiming New York City is a safe haven for the LGBTQ “oppressed” in Florida.
Following Adams in this crusade is a cast of characters including New York City Department of Education Chancellor David C. Banks, Kevin Jennings, CEO of Lambda Legal, Elisa Crespo, Executive Director of NEW Pride Agenda, Beverly Tillery, and more social justice worriers. They’ve all seemingly aligned themselves in the effort to prove their illiteracy to us all or maybe they just flat out don’t care about the truth. To continue misleading the people of New York with their leftist propaganda is dishonest at best. The LGBTQ community in Florida is not being oppressed, it’s the child groomers that are!
Meanwhile, according to the NYPD website, citywide shooting incidents increased by 31.6% (100 v. 76) in January 2022 compared with the same period last year, robbery increased by 33.1%, and grand larceny increased by 58.1%. The New York Post also just reported an increase in the number of homeless people sleeping in 24/7 ATM vestibules, so former Floridians will have that to look forward to.
So, in short, please come to New York City, where you’re free to say gay as well as “Help! I’m being robbed” and “Did that junkie pass out on the sidewalk again?” Come reside in the luxurious, friendly, diverse, accepting, LGBTQ+ capital of the East. Stay for our top-tier tax rates and incredibly overinflated property costs all while being held at knifepoint. With Adams in charge, NYC residents hoped that a former police captain would focus on crime but that was a farce. People said it would be tough to do worse than Bill DeBlasio, but Adam’s will be damned if he doesn’t try!
