Trump

The FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s personal home in Florida is an outrageous, unprecedented act of a federal government bent on partisan revenge. There’s been excellent analysis and commentary throughout conservative media about the shocking event but an important part of the story is also how Democrats and their sycophants in the media accidentally revealed in their reactions just how craven they’ve become.

The usual suspects wrapped in their cozy Trump Derangement Syndrome celebrated the raid. Americans were subjected to Democrats and liberal activist television hosts getting absolutely giddy with the news the FBI raided the home of the former president. As if that wasn’t bad enough, and then like a director changing the script, the glee changed to somber concern. Some at MSNBC ordered everyone to change the language. Now we can add “raid” to “woman” and “recession” to the ever-growing list of words leftists demand not be uttered. But we know better and ignore them.

The most telling reactions were from Trump-haters whose main concern was not that the establishment had become a machine focused on self-preservation and the destruction of those who threaten its status quo, but that the truth of the matter would ruin their preferred anti-Trump narrative.

One perfect illustration is brought to us by Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Trump White House aide who has found a renewed mission in life as the Trump-hating Republican co-host of television’s The View. Speaking of the raid on CNN she noted, “This, I’m hoping goes beyond simply not complying with some archiving laws, or DOJ just handed Donald Trump the Republican nominee and potentially the presidency, if it’s seen as some sort of massive overreach and not something incredibly serious, this is a very good day for Donald Trump.”

Think about this. Here is someone recognizing that obscenity of what happened and on its face confirms Trump’s argument that the swamp is corrupt and needs reforming, but her concern is how the truth will harm the establishment’s narrative and agenda.

From that Russia dossier hoax to the dozens of false allegations over the years against Trump, the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid is simply one more instance of the American bureaucratic establishment behaving like a dirty and corrupt third-world dictatorship smearing, framing, arresting and disappearing its critics. No matter the obvious reality, establishment operative will always try to gaslight you into believing the lie. Take it from a former federal prosecutor who wrote this on an MSNBC website:  “Indeed, despite some naysayers, all signs still point to a Trump run. We ignore them at our peril — doing so means losing precious time both reminding Americans of the ‘clear and present danger’ to our Constitution that he poses and preparing for how best to defeat him.”

You see, the projection never ends. They’re so embedded in the narrative they’re like an evil Alexa that you can’t unplug as it keeps telling you things day and night that aren’t true.

No matter what one thinks of Trump, to gloss over, ignore, or praise the actions of the FBI and Department of Justice acting as partisan weapons against an American citizen and his supporters is madness.

Businessman and political activist Andrew Yang is another example of a first excited utterance revealing what’s really behind the curtain. He declared his concern on Twitter that the raid might give the American people the impression that Trump has been right all along about the government: “I’m no Trump fan. I want him as far away from the White House as possible. But a fundamental part of his appeal has been that it’s him against a corrupt government establishment. This raid strengthens that case for millions of Americans who will see this as unjust persecution.”

Of course Yang feels compelled to assert his anti-Trump bona fides so as to not upset the woke mob, but here’s a newsflash for him: Trump’s “appeal” isn’t that he gives people an impression, it’s that he articulates what the American people have already been watching for decades—a slow and steady planned devolution of the American way of life by those in government, or as Barack Obama called it, a fundamental transformation of our country. The intention of the Democrats has always been to place government first and the citizen…elsewhere.

Trump understood how the system abandoned the American people, forgot them, and then tried to treat those forgotten men and women like litter. The system is now trying to do the same thing to him personally.

In the aftermath of the FBI raid, Griffin and Yang were not the only ones clutching their pearls that their preferred narrative might be ruined by reality. Former Obama advisor David Axelrod had his moment. Sounding like he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else he Tweeted: “One thing is very clear. Garland would not have authorized this raid, and no federal judge would have signed off on it, if there weren’t significant evidence to warrant it.”

The backlash was swift as a number of people reminded him about the FBI’s very recent lack of regard for the rules and ethics when it comes to Trump. “People said a similar thing after we found out the FBI got FISA warrants on Carter Page. Lots of ‘these warrants wouldn’t have been approved if they weren’t legit’ circular logic in both cases,’” tweeted the Washington Free Beacon’s Chuck Ross. Some Twitter users wondered if Christopher Steele of the infamous Russia dossier hoax had alerted Garland to new and nefarious items at Mar-a-Lago.

Our nation would be in significantly less peril if good people would recognize that the political and media establishment has ginned up such hatred of Trump specifically to see how much we would allow them to get away with in their efforts to destroy him. Emergencies and fear and loathing are the life blood of totalitarians. We’ve seen what this recklessness has done to other nations, let’s not let it happen here.
