Biden and trump

Every day Americans are seeing the cost of everything around them go up. From energy to transportation costs to the price of groceries, the cost of living in Biden’s America is expensive, while the goods and services we are receiving are no better. Our dollars are buying less and less while prices are going way up — a double whammy for families across the country trying to make ends meet.

Americans are feeling the pain at the pump, and the country’s mood has continued to give Democrats angst as they cling to their razor-thin majority in Congress. This November, Americans will cast their ballots in a midterm election that is widely seen as a referendum on President Biden and the Democrat-controlled Washington elected into office two years ago. As we’ve reported before, polling does not currently look good for Democrats.

A big part of the reason for these poll numbers is that Americans are truly feeling the pain in their pockets. Let’s take a look at the official numbers:

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) keeps track of the cost of energy, food, and household goods, and their latest report from March 2021-22 shows significant increases over the last year, for example:

Most importantly for most Americans, in 2020, the national gasoline average was $2.17 per gallon, and today, gas is up over $4 across the country. Clearly, these numbers don’t lie, despite the Orwellian rhetoric coming from the White House.

What most Democrats and their loyal friends in the media don’t like to talk about is that the cost of goods and services disproportionately affects the lowest wage earners, those making $35,000 or less per year. In 2019, half of the workforce (roughly 86 million people) earned $35,000 or less in income. These are the everyday Americans now paying twice as much for gas and every essential item across the board under Joe Biden.

Americans are waking up to the fact that they don’t like the direction of the country under President Biden and Democrats in control of Congress. When you compare the current cost of energy, food, and household goods to a short time ago, it’s pretty clear how much more affordable life was in Trump’s America. The numbers speak for themselves.
