President Joe Biden’s failures and issues all surround the absence of one key human value: empathy. While skirted around by many so as to not seem to attack the man personally, the fact is Biden’s problem has always been one of character – he is an awful person.
Cascading catastrophes are now hallmarks of Biden’s still unfinished first term. Whether it be the Afghanistan withdrawal catastrophe, East Palestine, Ohio chemical train derailment, and now the Maui conflagration, which has become one of America’s most deadly fires claiming (at the time of writing this) 111 lives, Biden’s carefully crafted image as “Lunch Bucket Joe” is proving to be a fraud of epic proportions.
The media went full-bore during the 2020 campaign to craft the basement dweller as the most empathetic man on earth. Forbes insisted in August 2020, “How Empathy Defines Joe Biden.” (Hint: It doesn’t.) On November 2, 2020, the Atlantic bellowed, Biden May Be Just the Person America Needs: A president should connect with who we are, but also make us better than who we are.” (Spoiler: He wasn’t.) Time Magazine also in November 2020: Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Return of Empathy When America Needs It Most.
Everyone clearly got the memo that empathy was the product to push. By the way, when you’re a decent person, it’s obvious. You don’t need the media to market you as a decent person.
Instead of Empathy Joe, we got Joker Joe. We got a man who seemed irritated at needing to appear to care about the pain and suffering of other people. It’s almost as if you got murdered at the Afghanistan airport, were made sick by chemicals from a train crash, or died when your entire town burned to the ground, and you were the problem for interfering with his preferred narratives.
This lack of empathy allows us to draw a line from the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, to decisions that caused inflation, to using said inflation to get a bill passed that has nothing to do with it but moves along your climate cult narrative. In the meantime, everyone continues to suffer because you’ve ignored the real issue. Food inflation, housing costs, mortgage rates, rents, the cost of energy, and the price of gas, do not seem to be on Joe Biden’s mind.
This same void of decency also explains Biden’s ghoulish ability to publicly deny the existence of a granddaughter, only to finally acknowledge her due to public pressure. Biden seems to be taking a twisted lead from the Taylor Swift song, believing that everyone else is the problem.
As the Maui fire catastrophe continued to unfold and Americans began to realize just how screamingly horrific the situation was, a reporter shouted at Biden if he had any comments about the tragedy. Mr. Empathy said, “No, no comment.” And then started to grin as he headed into a car. Who does that?
A few days later, as he was heading for a helicopter at the White House, a reporter once again shouted a question about Maui. This time Biden didn’t say anything – he just smirked and went on his way.
As the death toll climbs and the residents of Maui become even more vocal about the lack of support and response from the federal and state governments, Biden has finally flown west. To vacation at Lake Tahoe. We were told the Bidens will go to Maui next week, but in the meantime, they’re chillaxing.
As the Bidens get some rays and enjoy the lake, residents of Lahaina and the entire state of Hawaii are hearing reports that are shocking to the conscience about the deliberate silencing of alarms, the delay and withholding of water to quell the fire, and the decision making Hawaiian Electric that appears to have ignored concerns about powerlines because they were focused on their new green “clean energy” alternatives.
The lack of empathy is not just a Joe Biden problem. He is a true representative of the left-wing political machine in this country. Republicans also have a lot to answer for as they seem unable (or unwilling) to act decisively despite the carnage that continues to unfold due to Biden’s policies. From Hawaii to California to New York to Illinois to Michigan and beyond, we see the disastrous results of the lack of empathy in every blue state.
Biden’s behavior signals that he doesn’t genuinely care about the suffering of other people. When prompted, he can offer a performative version of compassion, but it comes after the smirks, laughter, and the inevitable angry recriminations. Yet, the simplest thing in the world, no matter who you are, is to care about your neighbor. It is a horrible way to live, thinking no one else matters. After all, if you’re willing to throw your little granddaughter under the bus, why would strangers in Maui matter? Why would our troops matter? Why would people in East Palestine, Ohio matter? Why would you and your family matter?
It’s time to acknowledge that none of this is a mistake. It is instead the result of Joe Biden and so many others in left-wing leadership in this country who just don’t give a damn.
