The newest mainstream media talking points have been issued. If re-elected, Donald Trump will undoubtedly become a fascist dictator, paralleling Hitler, and Mussolini.

While reality disproves this, don’t expect that to stop these narratives from continuing to circulate anytime soon.

Fascist dictators never hesitate to impose their evil will while in power. This is why Trump’s first term which resulted in economic prosperity, global peace, and the overall betterment of everyday life for Americans disqualifies future dictator Trump claims from the outset. But those familiar talking heads are working overtime ten months out from the election, parroting extreme, hypothetical doomsday predictions. Many are now going as far as saying if Trump is ELECTED, that will be the end of democracy. There is an extreme absurdity to be considered with that viewpoint. How can democracy die if the will of the people is facilitated through the democratic process? The obvious answer is it can’t.

There is also noticeably zero sense of shame or awareness coming from these people when making these statements, which is by design. These attempts to groom public opinion are known as predictive programming. The idea is if the media says something is going to happen before it occurs, once it does, it is perfectly acceptable, simply because they warned us, regardless of how wrong or absurd something may be.

In August of 2020, a data analytics agency called Hawkfish, which was founded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and aims to support Democrat candidates, began framing the election narrative. In an interview with Axios, CEO Josh Mendelsohn described what he referred to as a likely “Red Mirage,” where due to a high number of expected mail-in ballots, predominantly from Democrat voters, President Trump would storm out to insurmountable leads on election night. But when all mail-in votes were counted days later, Joe Biden would surely win. While this was beyond suspicious since nothing like this had ever previously occurred in American history, Mendelsohn stated this would be perfectly normal. He even went a step further in gaslighting those less likely to blindly accept the results of this shady operation by claiming objections to the results would be setting up the American presidency for failure. Essentially, accept the results no matter what, or you are hurting your country.

By October, high-profile politicians such as Bernie Sanders were openly “predicting” how the 2020 election would unfold, parroting Mendelsohn’s talking points almost verbatim. Bernie Sanders is not a prophet or even an intelligent person, so his “prediction” was not actually a prediction, but rather a revelation of the plans of some in power to achieve their desired outcome. So, as America witnessed how flawed the election appeared in real-time, it was framed as perfectly normal, with many even citing Bernie’s prediction as evidence that all was well.

Shortly after the Bernie prediction, Barack Obama signaled on late-night TV that he would love to continue running America behind the scenes while pulling the strings of a “front man.” This was another unusual, and uncharacteristically transparent admission for a politician to make. Just weeks later, his former Vice President was sworn in as president and has “reigned” over the most obvious shell of an administration (filled with ex-Obama administration officials) in American history.

After Trump’s home was raided by the FBI in August of 2022, it was immediately said it would negatively impact Republican gains in the upcoming midterms. When clear election manipulation in places like Arizona was predictably ignored, networks such as Fox News went on to blame Republican shortcomings on Trump’s influence.

Then in 2023, Trump was arrested four times over five months. And even before he goes on trial for his alleged crimes, partisan judges and officials across the country began (and continue) to remove Trump’s name from ballots just weeks before the first vote is cast in the Republican primary. While these schemes are all likely to fail, the fact they were even attempted is telling.

And even more recently, The Washington Post and The New York Times almost simultaneously published op-eds about the prospect of a DICTATOR Trump, and they are far from the only ones to begin discussing this more frequently. Mainstream media has increased their screams about how Trump would do the exact things Joe Biden already has and continues to do, such as weaponizing the justice department, arresting political opponents, abusing power, and imposing his will on Americans’ private lives.

But while these claims seem so outrageous, hypocritical, and laughably false, they should be taken seriously, because they are usually a foreshadowing, not mere speculation.

By painting Trump in an even more sinister light than they already were, they are again preparing the public perception for whatever it is they plan to do next. So if their end goal is to make any attempts at barring Trump from election eligibility (or God forbid any rumored attempts on his life) appear to be normal, acceptable, and justified, no matter how insane they are, this is the blueprint they have always used, and likely will again.

Nobody but God knows for certain how the next year will unfold. But if there is one thing we do know, it’s when those in power begin attempting to normalize the abnormal, listen carefully.
