America Chafes at White House Lies

Forgive me for chafing, losing patience with Biden, Harris, and the official denier, liar, and babbler who pitches puff from the White House podium, Ms. Karine Jean-Pierre. My guess is, whatever the White House thinks, most of America is chafing. Examples make the point.

On the economy, Biden regularly speaks untruth, and must know he is doing so. He does it boldly and without blanching, just pretending untruth is truth, stuffing it down our throats, then walking away. As Americans suffer record prices, debt, taxes, and a distorted labor market, Biden says he improved inflation, cut deficits, lowered taxes, created record jobs – all patently false.

At the end of the Trump term, the day Biden entered the White House, inflation stood at 1.4 percent. A year earlier, it stood a fraction over zero. By June 2022, Biden’s policies – ending key fossil fuel extraction, transportation, and production, plus $13 trillion in spending between 2021 and 2022, far above historic figures and transparently vote-motivated, put inflation over 9 percent, a level unseen in 50 years.

Today, inflation is between four and five percent, major sub-rates for everything from cars and housing to food and fertilizer in double-digits, adversely affecting everyone, especially seniors on fixed pensions, rural Americans, farmers, and the 60 percent still working.

Meantime, energy independence, achieved in the prior decade with robust oil and gas discovery, production, and export, has been reversed – forcing us to face foreign oil dependence, and government subsided, unsustainable props for wind and sun power, hardly a substitute.

The result has been a heart punch to the average consumer, who pays double the energy costs paid when Mr. Biden assumed office, with projections for ever-higher rates as America’s comparative advantage in fossil fuels is ignored, and spending by government on renewable subsidies rises.

On deficits, not only did Biden create massive ones with record spending in fiscal years 2021 through 2023, he proposes to keep doing so, after a modest downtick from 2021 to 2022 – no more a “reduction” than the downtick from 9 percent inflation, which started at just over one percent.

Moreover, since Biden proposes successively higher deficits, or annual spending over annual revenues, he is creating record national debt – now over $31 trillion. That is not good news.

America is on a projected course for hyper-debt and hyper-inflation, presenting a real possibility that Americans will hold increasingly devalued dollars, materially losing lifetime pensions and investments, plus elevated interest rates – until the seesaw tips, dollar is replaced by the Chinese Yuan as the world’s reserve currency. That is where Democrat policies are going.

On taxes and jobs, suffice to say Mr. Biden also misrepresents (for political purposes) what he knows to be substantively corrosive, policies creating wider federal dependence, higher taxes on small businesses, a hidden “inflation tax” on the middle class, structural unemployment and high labor costs, cascading into bankruptcies and a wildly distorted labor market, thus low growth.

The idea that he can tax his way to a balanced budget is lunacy, and he does not even seem interested in fiscal balance or responsibility, just using this public pain to push class warfare.

As inflation pushes families into higher income brackets, reducing the value of their earnings and savings, interest rates climb along with taxes – corporate and individual, all justified by class warfare.

These economic lies, combined with lies about national security, border security, and neighborhood security, affect all Americans, in quality of life, affordability, health and safety.

But the universe of lies – plus Harris’ inconceivably deranged statements – have impact beyond the economy and security, taking the whole nation into the realm of “untruth-as-truth.” As poll after poll show, Americans are losing faith in government, an ominous indicator of unrest.

Evidence of breathtaking public corruption by the President and his family, confirmed by thousands of documents released in the last six months, should leave all Americans asking – every one of us – when are real indictments of the Bidens for federal bribery and RICO coming?

Lies tied to family, from denying knowledge of illicit business deals with foreign adversaries (after he facilitated the deals) to lies about knowing how he targeted his predecessor, to lies over cocaine in the White House, to lies about how many grandchildren he has, are just sickening.

In short, America is sick of this White House.  The lie that triggered this column was from the illustrious White House press secretary, Ms. Karine Jean-Pierre – proudly French-born, Haitian, black, lesbian, and a non-lawyer – who boldly insists she and Biden are constitutional “experts,” and says the Supreme Court “took constitutional rights away” by ending bias in college admissions based on race, a violation of the 14th Amendment’s equal protection clause.

The head spins. At some point you just throw your hands up and say, “let’s be done with this administration.” Nothing they say tracks truth, and worse – they do not care. That is why, if you get right down to it, most of America is chafing, tired of being taken for fools.
