Leesburg, FL — 2/13/2026 — Following overwhelming national interest in its inaugural session, the AMAC Foundation’s Constitutional Advocacy Academy will host its second class, How Laws Really Get Made: The Legislative Process in Practice, inviting citizens across the country to deepen their understanding of how Congress actually works — and how informed advocacy can make a difference.

The Academy’s first class drew thousands of participants nationwide, demonstrating strong interest among Americans who want a clearer understanding of constitutional principles and effective civic engagement. Building on that momentum, the upcoming session will provide a practical, behind-the-scenes look at how legislation truly moves through Congress.

Participants will learn how bills advance or stall, through committees, negotiations, and votes, helping citizens better understand where and how public input can have a meaningful impact.

“This Academy was created to help Americans move beyond frustration and toward informed, constructive civic involvement,” said Ian Gargan, Communications Director, AMAC Foundation. “Understanding how laws are actually made empowers citizens to participate more effectively in our constitutional system.”

The Constitutional Advocacy Academy is a year-long educational initiative designed to equip citizens with practical knowledge and advocacy tools grounded in America’s founding principles. Each monthly session builds on the last, guiding participants through constitutional foundations, legislative mechanics, and effective engagement strategies.
