I love hockey. The Olympics would be better by using the NHL players.

I did not watch the Olympics due to the location and hearing horror stories about N. Korean participants that will be treated poorly, concentration camps, due to no medals being won.

Many of these aren’t even “sports” as far as I am concerned. If there is a competition of some sort where points are given for a goal, much like hockey, then yes, that is a “sport”. Any other activity where points are given by a panel of judges, like snowboarding or figure skating… nope. Not a sport. Sorry, but that’s how I feel about it. I don’t watch stuff like this anyhow. It’s got too political for me anyway. (And yeah, I don’t watch the NFL either for the same reason) 😉

I have not watched this Winter Olympics due to a Trader( Not giving credit to her name, We all know who she is), of our Country not acknowledging our Great American President along with the fact that North Korea was a part of the Olympics. Make America Great Again !!!! Go President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence

I don’t watch much of the competitions. While I do appreciate the immense talent of the of all of the Atheletes involved, none of these sports compete with the viewing enjoyment from Basketball of Football.

I didn’t see any of the Olympics. I wasn’t interested. I’m tired of spoiled athletes bashing our country and our president.

When I did watch the Olympics, the Luge/ 2 and 4 Person Bobsled events were by far, my favorite Winter events.

Will not watch any as long as it is on NBC the biggest lib station, plus they don’t show enough of the events or athletes performing.

What with the blatant in your face homosexuality, anti American propaganda and “trans” people being accepted to participate in opposite gender events I’m through with the Olympics.

Have only watched the Olympics once in my life! When I was Nine years old and sick in bed for a week, I watched the ’64 winter Olympics (Mainly Luge and Bobsledding) because the
only alternative was dopey soap operas on TV (only 3 channels back then). Would never waste my time watching supposed adults playing silly games. I Have Never watched any Sports, EVER!

Favorite Sport….most anything that does not adhere to subjectively selecting winners. Judges are biased and generally only have self interest at heart. How about something like bobsled or luge. Timed events….unless the time keeper is crooked too, these are events for which only the participants are responsible for their scores.

I like more than just one! I put snowboarding as my favorite but I also like figure skating and once I learned the rules and purpose I have enjoyed watching curling! Speed skating is another one I like to watch.

I did not watch the Olympics because of the poor behavior of some of the American team members who attacked our President and Vice president. This was also shown on one of the Fake News channels I don’t watch any longer.

None! The Olympics are worthless to watch since they have allowed professional athletes instead of amateurs. They lost me a long time ago!

Can’t get interested in the Olympics any more. The competitive atmosphere of the games, the athletes, and the institution itself, have become second in importance to political “messages” put forth by participating countries. Even some athletes (ours included) have developed this Hollywood” style attitude. They’re just not that important.

I no longer watch the Olympics. It’s administration, its financial “backers” and too many of the contestants can no longer can be validated as being “seemingly” honorable to the pursuit of “excellence” in sports.

i’m not going to ruin my olympic experience, because of a few useful idiots…short track, and the snowboard and ski races are fun…and God Bless mikaela and the hockey team singing the anthem!!!

I don’t watch. Not interested….especially when one decides that she can’t honor our President at the event. Olympics seem to becoming political like much of the sports world.

Unlike many below, I enjoy the Olympics. You left out a large category and one that I do believe is a ‘sport’ – all the sliding events: Luge, Skeleton and Bobsled. This is man/woman and metal against a very steep long icy track at 80+ miles per hour. Love it!

I recorded the Olympics so I could fast forward past the traitorous athletes of our country who showed great disrespect to our President which was also disrespect toward our country. I also fast forwarded past NBC commentators who in the USA broadcast outright lies and hate our country (fake news to promote their agenda). I felt that the overall NBC News coverage was poorly done and was jammed with commercials. They were poor representatives for our country and it is no wonder why a lot of people did not watch the olympics.

None NBC is off my tv! When they stop making everything political and blaming Trump for everything, maybe I’ll start watching NBC again. And that goes for ABC,CNN and the rest of the Talking Heads on television.
Just saying

Since my favorite is ice skating, I will only comment on that.
I was surprised to see how many comments are about the politics and the reasons people are not watching.
And, yes, the judging is often subjective. But it seemed to me not as much this time.
My disappointment is that figure skating judging, to keep it more objective, is now about the number of jumps and how well they are executed and does not seem to stress the artistry. A lot of skaters were gorgeous but missed the top. The gal from Canada should not have scored so much lower than the Russian girls. The girl that won was not nearly as beautiful as the girl who got the silver but because the first did more jumps.
I’d have made it Canada, first, then reversed the top two and made the second the second and the first the third.
The Americans were beautiful but made errors. Too bad.
And so it goes.
I love the athletes and their efforts and celebrate that. But I do wish they would be apolitical as they claim to be, keeping the athletics as the focus. But these days, people can say they are apolitical all they want, everything is political. Too bad.

4 man bobsled. I’ve watched on the nbc app so I didn’t have to hear all the stories about the athletes lives and how they got there. And didn’t have to look or hear Al or Hoda ramble on. Just show the competition.

Basically only interested in the Women’s Ice Hockey, but also the Men’s this year because it was not basically just another NHL game. Don’t get me wrong, I love the NHL, but the Olympics is supposed to be something different. Also watched the half-pipe to cheer on Shaun White.

Olympics “bah humbug ” , nothing like they used to be. Not going to view people who use the media to voice their platforms, eg, homosexuality, political views etc. NBC is the perfect venue for this crap. They can have it. May God bless our President.

The Olympics used to be something the whole family could enjoy together but now you have to censor the ads. I’m afraid to watch too much with my children. Even the athletes’ and fans’ foul language isn’t bleeped out. I hate that because I’ve always been an Olympics junkie. I do follow the news of medal wins, especially women’s bobsled.
