Technology, which involves the use of science in industry, engineering, and inventions to make the world a better place, is constantly evolving and progressing. Living in the USA, we are continually blessed with access to cutting-edge technologies that continue to amaze us. While some are designed to deliver or enhance our pleasure, others are more practical and are designed to solve problems and make our lives easier. Here are three newer technologies that have a promising future.
- Lithium-metal batteries developed by QuantumScape – This new battery, currently under development, is expected to be a game-changer for people who own and operate electric cars now and in the future. While current lithium-ion batteries need regular recharging, this promising newer battery will likely boost the range of an electric vehicle by 80% and enable them to be rapidly recharged. While the battery is currently a prototype under development, it is expected to be used by VW by 2025.
- Symfonisk Picture Frame Wi-Fi Speaker – This newer flat-panel speaker features a unique design. It is about the size of a flatscreen tv and can be inconspicuously mounted against a wall or placed on a shelf using a kickstand. What’s more, interchangeable front panels can totally change up the look. This totally cool new home device is available at Ikea. Since it’s in high demand, you may have to add it to your shopping wish list.
- Wyze Night Light – This night light is a must-have for all homes. They possess a built-in motion sensor so that they light up when someone walks by. And they also shut down when it’s dawn upon sensing light. Not only are these night lights a durable yet lightweight design, but they are also powered by a battery and can easily snap to a frame via a magnet, which makes them easy to install anywhere.
Check back next week as we plan to share three more new great technologies for 2021 that are bound to impress even the savviest consumers.
