It’s called saving the nation bootcamp for boomers. Hey, hello. I’m almost a boomer, which is something we should all be tuning into. Once again, you can see it up there Sunday, one to four, this weekend. We’re going to have more on that in a moment. president Trump said it best when he said, I think AMAC is great.
That’s what he said. AMAC stands strong on the issues that matter to you. For example, securing the border, protecting Medicare, preserving the integrity, of our elections. AMAC also fighting to protect your freedom and sees that your voice is heard in Washington. So without any further ado joining, you need to join AMAC today, be part of a movement.
This election season. Make sure ready. It champions your values. This is what you do. You go to AMAC.US/Sunrise to become a member. Make a difference. That’s an AMAC.US/Sunrise. This election season. Make sure you whether we’re going to protect boy, we need it now more than ever. this is a strange time of year for the senior patriots among us.
It’s when they need to take a look at the Medicare plan. They’re going to go through the Currently on and contemplate making a move to another one. So for many, it’s a really, it’s a big time daunting task. Joining us now to help take the guesswork out of all of this and the process is Carl Hohsfield
he’s Executive Vice President at AMAC Senior Resource Network. Carl good to have you on the show. So yeah, what is the medicare annual enrollment period? I mean talk to us about that. Why is that so important? Take us through the process a little bit, especially seniors, obviously
Carl Hohsfield: Yeah, I appreciate you having me.
good morning, everybody we’re currently in the medicare annual election period and that runs from october 15th to december 7th every year And that’s so important because that gives every medicare beneficiary and medicare beneficiaries to be this year And The ability to enroll into a Medicare Advantage plan, also known as Medicare Part C, add a Medicare prescription drug plan, known as Part D, or really just evaluate your current plan that you’re on and see if that’s the right plan that’s going to be right for you in 2025.
And, we make it real easy for you to do that here at AMAC.
Dr. Gina Loudon: So how does one go about enrolling in a Medicare plan during the Medicare annual enrollment period exactly?
Carl Hohsfield: Yeah, we keep it easy for everybody. All you have to do is call us. We have licensed agents ready to take your call. These are agents that are going to be dedicated to you now and in the future.
And what we’ll do is the whole enrollment process will be done over the phone with you and we’ll guide you through, navigate you through the Medicare world, the Medicare labyrinth that can often be difficult for people to navigate. And so we take the guesswork out. We have 1 initiative. Our agents have 1 directive, and that’s do what’s right for you as the Medicare customer.
And, that differs a lot from other organizations.
Terrance Bates: I think that probably offers peace of mind having someone there to hold your hand along the process as you’re trying to navigate what quite honestly can be a pretty, daunting task and a little confusing for people. So talk about some of the changes that are allowed during this Medicare annual enrollment period.
That’s also crucial.
Carl Hohsfield: sure. A lot. There’s a lot of misinformation, a lot of misconceptions of what you’re allowed to do or what you have to do. First of all, it’s important to know you do not have to change your plan if that plan is still right for you in 2025. And we know that there’s a lot of organizations that might steer people, coerce people into enrolling into a plan.
For the sake of enrolling into a plan, maybe so they can get a commission or something like that. Our agents are here to just verify the customer’s information, do a true needs analysis and understand, Hey, should you be changing your plan or is the plan you’re on right now still okay for you? And we’re not afraid to say that we’re not afraid to say whether you’re an AMAC member or not, Hey, This is the right plan for you, and this is why, but in the end, we understand that it’s a customer’s decision, and it allows them to look at their Medicare Advantage plan.
Again, it’s important. Here are these acronyms, Part C, Part D, what’s Medicare Part A and B. We’ll work through all that with you. We’ll help explain it. We’ll do a Medicare 101 with you, and by the time you’re done, you’re going to be able to put your head down at night and understand. be comfortable and be conf in the right plan.
David Brody: Hey Ca the big event that we me segment this weekend righ gonna be airing. There it
Tell us what our audience can expect to learn from this special. Look, I was born in 1965, so I’m right on the cusp. I know boomers end in 64. People want to call me a boomer. Stop it. Sorry, I’m working out my therapy right here on live television. But no, I’m telling you, I hate when they say, okay, boomer, give me a break.
You can learn a lot of stuff from boomers. I don’t want to hear it. I’m done with it. Carl Revolt.
Carl Hohsfield: Yeah, look, we’ve done a few of these events. Now we’ve done a few of these and they’ve all been very successful. And there’s a lot of great information, a lot of great guests and information on the constitution.
We have a lot of motivation happening at these events, but really it’s an educational type event, right? It’s helping our members understand what’s happening in their communities, how they can get out and not only help AMAC, but help their country. It’s a lot. It’s a big motivating event. If you will, as long as an educational event.
Yeah. And like I said, the others that we’ve done around the country have been highly successful. Our members have loved them, and we’re really looking forward to this.
David Brody: Very nice. Carl Hosefield, great to have you with us. Really important information for our audience. So thank you so very much.
Carl Hohsfield: Thank you.
David Brody: Thanks Carl. Very nice. Maybe I will crash the event. Coming up, the woke left went crazy when Donald Trump took office in 2017, hashtag Michael Moore. But that was the year Kamala Harris began a very calculated move to the far left. It’s all coming out in the open. We’re going to have that story of that woman.
She still cracks me up to this day. No, stop. Where’s the glass ceiling? But first. Kamala Harris breaking a long running tradition and will not attend a much loved Al Smith dinner in New York. We’re going to dig into that development in just a few minutes back in a minute.
